I understand Zijin's confidential and damning offer, dated 21 Oct 2022, expired 60 days from its receipt by Cominiere.
Nonetheless, it is a great find, and shows that Zijin Mining is still up to its old tricks. I hope that AVZ's board and legal team have a copy.
I also hope they are fully on their game.

Well spotted. Although Zijin could have made another offer since this one.

This is truely breathtaking, especially the bolded. It’s a setup to box future decision-makers into a corner by creating very high exit/non-proceeding costs. I.e. if this agreement is not fully executed you will have no right to request back the shares that we illegally obtained. In fact you can‘t even waiver the payment for this illegal transaction, thus ensuring that we (Z) can claim forever more that “we paid for it, therefore it’s ours”.

I’m starting think that Zinjin are just a bunch of khunts. Thoughts?

Great pickup on the legal ramifications of that part of the deal. Zijin are a bunch of cunts. If this offer had of been accepted within the 60 days we would have heard about it by now.

Hopefully we get clarity soon on the intentions of the competent DRC authorities

What does anyone make of the alleged video of Zinjin relqiunishing their 15% claim?

a) Misinterpret the video, from my recollection there were no subtitles and I was only relying on the commentary of others.
b) Was this possibly a staged video to distance Zinjin, whilst they bribed and pulled strings.

Have we seen the document where AVZ allegedly renounces the northern section?

Only the initial second decree which just says Dathcom renounce the northern 82 carrés. No specifics as to what happens to it. There will be accompanying paperwork where we were given some sort of guarantee about a PR in the JV with the DRC government. Management wouldn't have said it in the May 4th 2022 announcement otherwise.

Another possible scenario here is that we are asked to sell the north to someone else for the government JV. If we got some cash and a friendly tenant next door like RIO or one of the gringos that are committed to investing in processing plants with Dathcom then it would be a lot better for all involved. But Zijin would still probably be pursuing the 15% of Dathcom if that happens.

Franck implies that the author of this article may be mistaken about the MoM's motives.
This part of the article appears to be an assumption by the author without any evidence to back it up (unless I'm missing something).
Fuck Zijin, give them nothing other than a kick up the ass and tell them to fuck off.
Maybe strip them of some other assets as punishment for good measure.
