AVZ Discussion 2022

I struggle to come to terms with the focus on some unscrupulous Australian journalist, his (and AFR's) time will come in due course. I would rather an update on what has transpired in the meeting rooms of DRC parliament and the AvZ executive or even the meetings planned for next week. Something driving us towards a solution, not some fucking sideshow. Frustration 11/10

Agree Daz pretty fucking disappointing update overall given what's transpired.
Looks like we have to tolerate the dreaded cone of silence for a while longer. More of the same to drive us (more) insane.

Think of a director who was made to resign mid last year and is linked to the German in another DRC company and you might have uncovered a rats nest🤫
Surely someone would stop giving him info huh…

Good point and I personally think MoM is onside.

I agree if we were being shown the exit it would have been a surprise and the house of cards would fall all at once.

It still doesn't explain why AVZ wasn't given any heads up 🤔
Apparently the original decree dropped out of the blue too 🤷‍♂️

He was privy to the info in his capacity of director before he was made to leave. The Marius contract was established Jun 2022 and he went in Aug 2022.

I’m turning in for the night Sam, but I recall something about Mupande having a relationship with a group who were associated with a company setting up new IT platform mining platform which is the CAMI site you go to for the maps

And Mupande also has relationships with

He's been gone for a while but it's still happening, that's what had me wondering. Probably just as plausible that personal correspondence has been compromised.
We've got Nigel himself clutching on to those AJN shares ffs.

I've not read the previous two afr articles.
Can anyone post the part that would relate to "in part, on legal advice and a report or draft report prepared for the Company’s lawyers" ?
Not being lazy, I've just had a few too many and I'm wondering if this part is obvious. Or are they simply talking about the details of Marius's contract here?

Charbella they are all coming out of the woodwork again. Boatman tommy modo mouse flying and others. You, me and other shareholders know they have been lurking here in the background trying to pick their best time to put doubts and fears in shareholders mind’s again

They are the lowest of scum and I would put money on the fact that their mothers took turns breastfeeding them all until they left high school

The poor little fucktards

Always the one for a fight hey MB.

A quick sidestep by me, you trip yourself over on your jean flares, break off a heel on you boot and be shown for what you really are.

Sent this to the AFR:

Good morning,

I would like to make a formal complaint about Tom Richardson and his recent articles regarding AVZ Minerals. The 'stories' are extremely one sided, overly suggestive and have a number of factual errors or omissions.

I note that the recent ruling against the AFR for very similar type of reporting where Justice Anna Katzmann found that the articles were "spiced with an account of suspicious circumstances" against a politician. And that, "The ordinary reasonable reader is prone to loose thinking and reads between the lines. And that is precisely what the respondents encouraged them to do. This article was awash with innuendo."

Complaints have also been made to the Australian Press Council.

Can the AFR please look into this matter.

Kind regards,
Mate, stellar initiative, thank you. No doubt there are a lot of holders in this forum like me who don’t type a lot but take a great interest. Am all for chucking in time / effort to a group push on whatever front may be appropriate.

In two articles published on February 8, 2023, the Australian media advanced information, in particular about their collaborator, the Congolese businessman Mr Marius Mushagalusa Mihigo, whom the Australian lithium giant, AVZ considers inaccurate or incomplete:

"On June 1, a month after the cessation of activities, AHV CEO Nigel Ferguson authorized cash payment to Marius Mihigo, according to documents prepared for the board of directors by DLA Piper's lawyers. Mr. Ferguson had previously proposed to pay the DRC businessman an additional success bonus of US$3 million and US$2 million in AVZ shares if he helped the company obtain a mining license for the concession in which it claims a 75% stake. Now the Perth-based company, AVZ Minerals, wanted in a statement to clarify the engagement agreements with Marius Mihigo and his team, for a collaboration in DR Congo in the Manono lithium project. Here is the focus of the press release translated by our editorial staff:

AVZ hired Marius Mihigo as a strategic advisor with his team in the DRC, to:

Terms of Mr. Mihigo's commitment recorded in a written agreement:
  • Mr. Mihigo and his team are only paid from an initial amount of US$1 million for their services.
  • reimbursement of expenses for travel, accommodation and food expenses (within a specified range) and other service-related expenses.
  • Disbursements for travel and ancillary costs must not exceed $5,000 without the prior agreement of the AHV.
  • The agreement does not provide for result fees.
  • AVZ carried out due diligence and independent of Mr. Mihigo, before and during his engagement, which revealed no material problems of probity or red flags.
  • The agreement requires Mr. Mihigo and his team to comply (as the company complies) with all applicable anti-corruption laws as well as the company's anti-corruption code of conduct.
Here is the link to read the AVZ anti-corruption policy: Project Description (squarespace.com.
I think they are almost holding hands…

Should see some Movement now…

Hopefully everyone at this party “has come to an agreement” that we really need to get this project underway…

Hopefully this is our guy that can “shake the right hands” in Africa

I just want my money like everyone….

"Massively exorbitant interest on their loans"

???

Dropped 7% last day of trading.

Doubt the shorts are paying too much above Libor - 2-3% extra maybe.

What folk fail to realise is that shorters have had the capital from selling the shares short (not CFD).

So they have had the capital to invest for 40 weeks at least, likely more.

If they cant beat the short fee, and some I would be very surprised.

Short AVZ, Long PLS, MIN, IGO. Wow that looks a nice trade
