Hey mate, you need to bear in mind, this might be an asset sale, not a TO, especially if there’s an ongoing royalty. We could be a cashed up entity looking for a new tenement to explore. North Korea sound alright?
Uganda or Zimbabwe sounds great !!

Go AVZ!
I already have an investment in Uganda IXR not going so well either 🥲

REE mining not going ahead in Uganda.

Totally out of the picture.

Future for IXR now firmly linked to the viability and success of their magnet recycling technology

Fingers crossed Ash

Apologies all for going off-topic 😬

Soooo what you're saying is Nigel has a $150m incentive to fight for $4 instead of $1?

I can imagine he's gonna fight pretty hard with incentives like that.

Just throwing this out there for a different perspective.

However, Massad Boulos and his entourage are not in Kinshasa to work on their all-over tans.

Do you have access to the actual article?

We know the DRC envoys were in Washington not that long ago pitching this.

I doubt there would be this much media coverage of this specific meeting if this wasn't the primary purpose of Massad's visit to Kinshasa.

Sorry, I can't get the full article via my usual paywall bypass websites, and can't justify forking out $2,200 for articles of unknown authenticity.

Cheers

If that happens, most decent thing to do would be to approach Deterra to purchase the royalties via combination of cash and shares. Then utilise the capital received to offer shareholders a buyback so we can still access 50% CGT discount.

I'm a few winos deep so not sure exactly the timing of how it would all work and probably not in the order of above. But would essentially offer shareholders a cashout for our troubles without needing to receive the funds via dividend which would affect a lot of people's income more significantly. But still gain exposure to ongoing royalties.

OR. Big stretch so stay with me 🤷‍♂️
Part Divie, part buyback. Best of both worlds. Company then offers existing shareholders ONLY a repurchase of shares at a considerably lowered (to the value of discounted royalties price) price, to a maximum number of previously owned shares. Then sells the ongoing royalties at a marginal discount to Deterra on a x:y shares exposure.

Allows the company to not have to relist. Ensures shareholders get their fair value, and retain exposure via alternate listed company with a value add of generic royalties exposures.

C'mon Nigel, is that really too much to ask after everything else you've dealt with? 😉

US delegation arrives in Kinshasa for peace and investment mission

A large joint White House-State Department delegation of US officials arrived on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, on a French airline Air France flight from Washington, DC, via Paris, as part of a peace and investment mission to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the ACP noted.

The delegation is led by Senior Advisor to the US President, Massad Boulos, with Deputy Assistant Secretaries of State Coronah Sanders, Devin Kesington, and Zach Snuder, as well as Dan Dimirhan, National Security Director for Africa.

This delegation also plans to travel to Rwanda, Uganda, and Kenya for the same mission.

"Senior Advisor Boulos and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Coronah Sanders will travel to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Kenya, and Uganda beginning April 3," the State Department wrote on its website Tuesday, announcing the mission.

"During this trip, Mr. Boulos and his team will meet with heads of state and business leaders to advance efforts toward lasting peace in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo and promote U.S. private sector investment in the region," it read.

Mr. Boulos has been appointed Senior Advisor to the U.S. President for Africa, Arab, and Middle Eastern Affairs.
