Litigation funds are high risk funders. High risk funders undertake due diligence and chose to ‘deal or no deal’ based on the probably of winning the case in court & in return they’ll get their cash back plus a lot more . Hence why their returns run on multipliers

Penny Wong MP, Minister for Foreign Affairs about the plight of AVZ Minerals and what (if anything) the Australian government is doing to assist and support it in its fight against corrupt DRC officials and the equally corrupt Zijin Mining.

I originally wrote in 2023, but have not received a response.
