BRN Discussion Ongoing

It all ads up. It’s not the one, it’s the many. But the reason why Mercedes excites me is that Mercedes has In The past talked about making the entire car based on 1 chip across all platforms.

Today, a normal car consists of 100+ chips to run 1 car. That is various kinds of chips preforming different tasks. But if they were to make a new chip to be incorporated throughout the vehicle I am guessing Brainchips IP will be imbedded into this chip.

So let’s say they are able to bring the total of Chips down to 20 chips per Car because of this new embedded design. That is 20x royalty per Mercedes sold for Brainchip.

It’s speculation. But I’m only just putting 2+2 together.
Quick search from the Net.

"According to estimates, the average modern car has between 1,400 and 1,500 semiconductor chips. Some cars can have as many as 3,000 chips. That's a lot of chips! You could say that modern cars are like giant computers on wheels"

Not at all saying they will be all neuromorphic, in the Future.
But I'm pretty sure Peter said, that the number of chips in a car, could be greatly reduced with neuromorphic technology.

Also, the "need" for even more chips, will occur with additional sensors going into cars, unless such a path is taken.

Just my impression, from what we know..

And here is a useless bit of information on how many chips are in the latest iPhone

At the 2019 AGM Peter van der Made gave a presentation during which he said that he could process all the necessary sensors for a vehicle with 9 x AKD1000 chips including redundancy and could do all the compute with just 100 x AKD1000 chips.

This led to a great deal of excitement and the then CEO after the AGM made the comment in a shareholder presentation that while it was true Brainchip could do all the compute in a car with 100 x AKD1000 this was not their focus, that Peter allowed his enthusiasm for the technology to lead him sometimes and Brainchip’s focus was at the Edge.

After much reading about how many chips are needed the prediction most commonly used is that by 2030 the average EV will have approximately 3,000 conventional chips.

Suffice to say that when deployed at scale a significant number of AKIDA based technology chips would be required across an EV but it would be less than 3,000. Remembering that since Peter van der Made’s presentation in 2019 the AKIDA 2.0 P capable of 131 TOPS has been released.

Hi All
Just picked up on this. Certainly confirms Brainchip’s partnership status:

IFS Direct Connect 2024 – February 21, 2024 (San Jose)

Join BrainChip at IFS Direct Connect 2024, an exclusive all-day event held at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center. Tailored for alliance partners, customers, executives, media, and analysts, this event offers a unique platform for networking and insights.
At this gathering, Intel leadership, industry technologists, and partners, including BrainChip, will showcase their strategies for success. It will be exciting when we hear more from them:sneaky:

onsemi 🤝 Škoda Auto

Hassane El-Khoury, President and CEO of onsemi, gave our friends at Škoda Auto a tour of our Roznov facility this week to see first-hand how our technology is powering a better future.

"The whole Volkswagen Group is generating tremendous synergies as a result of its strategic partnership with onsemi,” said Karsten Schnake, Škoda Auto Board of Management for Procurement and Head of Volkswagen Group.

Semiconductors are of growing importance in the automotive industry and building strategic collaborations is more crucial than ever. We’re proud to help Škoda Auto meet the demands of today’s drivers and further accelerate the transition to electrification.

Hi Sirod
And Brainchip’s friends at Microchip:

“In this collaborative showcase with BrainChip, we will illustrate how our customers can leverage the advantages of next-generation AI to enable low-power, high-performance machine learning applications on our embedded platforms,” said Rod Drake, corporate vice president of Microchip’s MPU32 and MCU32 business units. “This is truly a not-to-miss demonstration at CES 2024.”

TECH

Regular
Good morning all,

With regards our involvement so to speak with ANT61 I must correct myself, I was of the understanding that our AKD 1000 chip
was onboard the rocket that entered orbit in early January, but I stand corrected.

Mikhail Asavkin has advised me that our brilliant 1st Gen Chip (the so-called failure) will be onboard Transporter-10 currently scheduled
for liftoff with SpaceX in March 2024, he will also be updating followers of the progress as things unfold.

Cheers....Tech :giggle:

Waiting for the Qtrly and H2 2023 report from some more ammo of which I’m sure there will be plenty based on BRNs habit over promising & under delivering..

At CES in BRN guest podcasts, it was quite clear that Rob and Nandan were speaking future tense and not present tense when answering questions about any current Akida applications..

Sean said BRN is an IP and royalty company.. No new IPs signed in years, and clearly as above, there are no royalties coming from 2023 the reporting period. When that becomes evident yet again through proof “in the financials”, there will be plenty of ammo for the “manipulators” lol..

New IP signings between now and the AGM are most likely the only bridging peace treaty between disgruntled shareholders and management. There’s every chance maximum pain has not been reached unfortunately, but everyone has their limits..

Wonder what the superglued on faithful’s limit is? Will you all back management through this period for an orderly transition to commercialisation, or will you start talking share price, which many of you say to leave alone in this thread? Time will tell. History suggests you will all start breaking your own rules and raise the SP. Didn’t see anyone telling Dingo to piss off to the Chet thread with all his SP related comments..

Such a bunch of tools in here to be blatantly fair to an orderly balanced conversation.
