Was looking at that diagram on their site not long ago.
Was also just reading a recent blog by Readspeaker who already partnered with Vivoka with their TTS.
Excerpt from the blog quoting Aurélien Chapuzet from Vivoka.
Does seem focused on hardware partners....given some of the hardware Dev that Teksun do...wonder if we get in that way possibly?
The next evolution of IoT is voice control. Find out how voice user interfaces are changing the way we interact with our connected devices.

IoT Voice Control: How a Voice Revolution Is Changing the Internet of Things
Published on May 8, 2023
Where is IoT voice control heading next?
So far, voice technology has focused on software. That software is deployed on IoT devices, certainly, but it often depends on cloud solutions—processing the data on a distant server.
The future will be in
voice hardware. We need hardware that’s built from the ground up to leverage voice interaction, says Chapuzet. Some CPUs (think Apple) are already designed precisely for their operating software. Voice should be the same, with computing hardware that’s optimized to support voice
on the device, further limiting the requirements of cloud computing.

Speaking of hardware partners…
After suggesting the other day next-generation mixed-reality headsets could be what Sean Hehir had alluded to in his podcast with Geoffrey Moore, I happened to stumble across a company called Vuzix, a leading supplier of smart glasses and augmented reality technology, headquartered in Rochester, NY.
Yes, exactly, the same city that is home to the Rochester Institute of Technology, that joined Brainchip’s University AI Accelerator Program six months ago.
As a pioneer in wearable computing, augmented reality, waveguide optics, and display engines, Vuzix has been delivering solutions to customers for 25 years.

I briefly had a look at their website that day, but couldn’t make out any clues right away whether they were using neuromorphic technology and then somehow got sidetracked and forgot about it. Until I saw the screenshot in @Bravo’s post #56,181, which included a link to a 2021 press release that immediately piqued my interest:
Vuzix’s Smart Glasses are equiped with the offline multilingual Automatic Speech Recognition provided by Vivoka’s Voice Development Kit.

Vivoka empowers Vuzix’s Smart Glasses with modern and secured voice AI capabilities through the Voice Development Kit
Aurélien is leading content creation and marketing strategies at Vivoka.
For its latest release, Vuzix’s widely renown Smart Glasses take a step ahead in human-machine interactions by bringing in the offline and multilingual
Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) provided by Vivoka’s Voice Development Kit.
The Voice Development Kit is the result of several years of expertise in the field of voice. Gathering all the embedded speech technologies – proprietary or partner’s – companies and developers would need, the solution offers unparalleled access to the voice ecosystem. It is equipped with a user-friendly graphical interface that facilitates the choice, development and testing of multiple technologies, from automatic speech processing, wake words, to voice biometrics and text-to-speech.
Vuzix is an industry leader in Augmented Reality (AR) technology that provides innovative products to defense, security, and enterprise. For the release of its Smart Glasses’ latest version, Vuzix decided to promote voice interactions to bolster its devices’ interactivity. Voice in addition to augmented reality will develop the way users embrace wearable technologies in the different fields that are covered by the company’s reach.
The choice of embedded technologies is not trivial. Areas equipped with Vuzix’s smart glasses are affected by specific environments that make it difficult to have perfect connectivity for Cloud solutions. Vivoka’s solutions can run offline, on-device, to operate anywhere, anytime.
“At Vivoka, we all imagine a world where voice is the most natural way to interact with our surrounding technologies. With clients such as Vuzix, we are very proud to participate in a revolution that is carried by powerful innovation players. Wearables like Vuzix’s famous smart glasses will bring even more thrust in the voice tech mass adoption by companies. Our goal is more than ever to provide developers with state-of-the-art technologies that are easy to adopt and to turn into real inventions.” said William SIMONIN, Vivoka’s CEO and Co-Founder.
A Vuzix M4000 Smart Glasses customer performs a repair task using visual and voice-based assistance.
In this approach, the Voice Development Kit was used by the Vuzix Development Teams to create and customize an
Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) engine able to understand any voice command that include specific vocabulary. The technology used is provided by
Cerence, a partner integrated in Vivoka’s Voice Development Kit, which also technically assisted the teams in the success of the project. With 30 languages available, the solution makes it possible to meet the current and future needs of a company such as Vuzix, whose ambitions are not limited by borders.
“Our broad language support is a distinct competitive advantage for us across many foreign markets and we are happy to be working with a speech technology leader such as Vivoka to enable this,” said Paul Travers, President and CEO of Vuzix. “We continue to add additional functionalities and feature enhancements to our Smart Glasses all the time, many based on the ongoing customer feedback we receive, as we continue to leverage the power and performance of our robust hardware platform.”
Vivoka’s latest version of the Voice Development Kit has been released in early fall 2021 with brand new voice biometrics technologies. The solution is currently empowering many companies and industries with on-device voice-based capabilities : Mobility, Consumers Electronics, Robotics, Defense and Aerospace are some of the fields that rely on Vivoka’s solutions.

Voilà! Now, if only we knew whether Vivoka was indeed using Akida. In that case of course there would also be the possibility that Vivoka could have found out about Akida through their cooperation with Vuzix.
One thing we do know - Vuzix is still working with Vivoka:

As of April 19, 2023, Vuzix Corporation stands out as a top-notch supplier of
augmented reality (AR) technology and
smart glasses. With over two decades of experience designing, manufacturing, marketing, and selling wearable display devices, including AR solutions and smart glasses, Vuzix has earned a well-deserved reputation as a leading producer.
In a recent shareholder letter, Vuzix’s President and CEO, Paul Travers, announced that 2023 would be a period of significant growth and solid revenues for the company. Vuzix anticipates strong revenue growth across its core products, which include smart glasses, OEM/engineering services, and SaaS software solutions. The company’s strong focus on the enterprise market, transitioning from proof of concept to commercial deployment, is expected to drive growth and expansion as the market evolves.
Moreover, Vuzix has bolstered its strategic partnership with AMA, a pioneer of assisted reality and workflow management software solutions. The Vuzix M400 smart glasses now support the entire XpertEye assisted reality product range, and the partnership has adopted the embedded Vivoka multilingual automatic speech recognition. This move is expected to help Vuzix address the rapid digital transformation of remote assistance.
Last but not least, here is the link to Vuzix’s recent investor presentation for anyone interested in the trends influencing the future of AR - those of you who think of gaming only will be more than surprised at the manifold fields of application, from open heart surgery, remote assistance to warehouse logistics. And as for use cases in the security field, „please contact Vuzix to discuss“…
P.S.: Did I mention Qualcomm is working with Vuzix? But I assume this is opening up a too big a can of worms…
