March 08: The Head of State called for personal involvement so that Chantal Bashizi takes up her duties as Director General of the Mining Cadastre to which she has been appointed for more than 3 years

As we celebrate throughout the world and in the Democratic Republic of the Congo the month dedicated to the defense and promotion of women's rights, voices are being raised to ask the President of the Republic to get personally involved to allow Chantal Lembo Bashizi to take up her duties as Director General of the Mining Cadastre to which she has been appointed since December 2018.
According to Mignonne Mbombo of the organization Femmes Solidaires "FESO", International Women's Day is a good opportunity to remind public authorities of their commitments to promote women's rights.
"As we celebrate this day, a woman is a victim of injustice, simply because she is a woman." And to continue: “This is discrimination based on gender, especially since her male colleagues who had been appointed at the same time as her took up their duties a few days after their appointment.
Chantal BASHIZI, Administrative Director of the Mining Cadastre and former Vice-President of the commission responsible for developing the new mining code, appointed Director General of the Mining Cadastre (CAMI) since December 2018, has never officially taken office. The handover and resumption with his predecessor Jean-Félix Mupande has always been postponed on the instructions of Prime Minister Sama Lukonde for unknown reasons.
This is what also prompted the Congolese association for access to justice (ACAJ) to show up to denounce this injustice:
“I strongly condemn this discrimination. I call on all fighters for freedom and the right to equal protection of all by law, to mobilize against this discrimination,” wrote Georges Kapiamba, president of the Congolese association for access to justice (ACAJ ).
This call from the ACAJ has all its meaning on this day when humanity celebrates the international day of women's rights.
The President of the Republic, who makes the rule of law his hobbyhorse, is thus called upon to take the necessary measures to correct this injustice towards a woman recognized for her know-how.
This urgent appeal is also addressed to Prime Minister Jean Michel Sama Lukonde who said he needed a little time to analyze the file of this former lawyer at the Brussels bar. A file moreover clear as rock water because, the ordinance which appointed the new management committee of the CAMI, just like all the others taken during the same period and in the same sector was published in the official journal, before the person concerned is notified. All that remains is the handover and recovery with his predecessor for Maitre Chantal Lembo Bashizi to officially take office.

DRC: Chantal Lembo Bashizi, DG of the mining cadastre, appointed because of her professional merits, is unjustly prevented from accessing her new functions by a group of men operating in an organized gang against all the principles established in a so-called rule of law for the benefit of Jean-Felix MUPANDE alone. The latter swear that the head of the STATE can bring back his order of December 27, 2018 in order to satisfy their disproportionate egos. Sad !

  • AUGUST 19, 2022

Mrs. Chantal Lembo Bashizi, appointed by presidential order, has still not taken up her legally acquired position as CEO, hampered by people animated by the spirit of financial torture, the lady appointed on the basis of her professional merits by the chief of the state is always seen rolling by the dismissal of the discount and recovery between it the incoming DG and the outgoing DG Jean Félix Mupande.
The mediation of the Prime Minister under the eye of the Ministry of Mines?
According to some tongues, the Prime Minister who would have instructed the Ministry of Mines to carefully analyze this file had done so meticulously, but other tongues say that it is the Prime Minister who would be at the base of this blockage following the echoes received that Mrs. Chantal Lembo was a recommendation of the outgoing regime by the former dircab of Joseph Kabila, Professor Nehemiah while public opinion is wondering where would be the real reason? Why go to advance a childish argument?
Ridicule to avoid
It is to push the President of the Republic to bring back his signed ordinances synonymous with everything that anyone can imagine.
What do we blame Chantal Lembo Bashizi for?
Just the fear of coming to shake things up in the mining cadastre, a guarantee of transparency that she will show, added to that, the baring of the management of her predecessor in this position; Chantal Lembo with her reputation, she won't hesitate to plug the few taps that some under Félix Mupande jeans drink from.
What the public wants
That those concerned organize the delivery and recovery as quickly as possible because the head of state who has placed confidence in the lady of Chantal Lembo, synonymous with a partial response to the representation of women in public institutions, wants to see her at work to bring order to this strategic sector in order to facilitate the government, under the vision of the Head of State, His Excellency Félix Tshisekedi, to meet the expectations of the population.
To Mr. Jean Felix Mupande
What is worth noting is the saying that everything has its time, it is not worth clinging to the thing while there is an order abrogating your current status, act alone and do not lean on yourself on no one, but project yourself elsewhere

A simple yes or no from RS attendees please. No need to post details in public, but was the issue of the 15% that MAY be homeless if CATH only take (or are only given) 9% discussed?

PM me if you are comfortable with sharing more

thanks
It was brought up by me. The question was: there is obviously conjure over the cong 15 as I've said before this is obvious because of the only 9 deal to cath. The next question was So is it 50 mil and its over or do they want the asset. Answer was 50 mil with some petulant coment and we won't pay it. So in my mind it's hard to comprehend. Why the fuck would you leve all this doubt over 75 ownership when it can be solved immediately. For fuck sakes we brought it for 25 mill for 15. now we are trying to give drc 150 mil for 15 and think it's cheep. So 25 + 50 .= 75 no more bulshit which can be built into the contract (not that any fucker gives a shit about contracts) but we've done our best to accommodate every fucker. It absolute Bulshit to think that ft will intervien in an election year and make more enemies its farcical imo. Ft the a politician his whole mind body being is holding on to power like every other politician in the world. Sorry for the rant cheers

I get the feeling only Lukonde has the actual powers to make something happen within the Ministry

Problem is....Lukonde is part of the problem

To this point he has shown no willingness to act and I think is complicit in the arrangements
The President appoints the Prime Minister not the other way round .

I don't know but I don't think it's homeless

I think AVZ "may" need it to ensure their 51% interest in the project is absolutely guaranteed

I understand that flies in the face of the company announcements that they are resolute we have "good legal title" to 75% currently

But that's just me being ....well....a bit sceptical I guess
Fuck the 51 % just sort cong and have 75% Jesus the narrative here is fucking wied we are entitled and own 75% 15 % conjure with cong which can be sorted with 50 mil if you believe anything the nige said at the rs. Where the fuck did shoring up 51% come from. Christ I hope your wrong mate

Agree 100% . If we lose the 15% to Cong when Nigel had a chance to pay him out SH will be f--king ropable . The idea Cong can then ask for more is Bull Sh1t imo . We wont be handing him cash out of the back of a truck in a dark alley. We could sign the deal in the MoM office surrounded by lawyers and world media FFS . If Cong gets the 15% he will sell it to Zijin . Nigel needs to be very sure of himself here . The blow back will be huge if we lose it . He must be extremely confident . Doesn't make sense otherwise . IMO

What's 15% of a potential 1 billion + tonnes worth ? That's 150 + million tonnes . Ask share holders at the AGM if they'd like to secure 150mil tonnes for $50mil or run the risk of losing their life savings and going mentally insane . I'm giving Nigel the benefit of the doubt for the time being .

Nigel and BOD position is that we have 75%, we're not paying Cong bribes for the 15% we already purchased and have the share certificate for.
MoP is creating a false narrative stitching together various falsehoods from numerous publications and assertions from the detractors/bad actors over the past few months.
She's purposefully spreading disinformation to confuse the issue and further delay the licence.
If we start paying bribes such as the 50mil for the 15% off dathomir (that we already legally own). Then we'll open ourselves up to to being fucked from every direction.
Essentially we'll dig ourselves a big hole to bury ourselves in. This was my interpretation of Nigel's position at the roadshow.
It's wrong morally and it's the wrong course of action in the situation.

As long as we win that is fine with me . MoP's delaying tactics are straight out of the Chinese play book .

The moment you pay what is seen as a bribe, its all over red rover. It’s actually what they want. Force us to do a dodgy deal and then come out and say “AVZ are corrupt”.

As Cher would say “ baby its all or nothing”.

Take it all to the ICC if that’s what’s required, in the meantime the DRC misses the Lithium boom.

DRC stays in poverty.

That is the stance the company is taking and thats what you are going to have to accept.

The right stance IMO. Pay one bribe, who comes along next?? Which Minister, which official??

Should cancel the CATH deal this week. Pay them their $20m and send the Chinese packing.

Ship to the US instead.

The Chinese are untrustworthy. Kick their arses out of the project. Ship to the US.

Narrative is weird? Yet you have no farken clue whether Cong will go elsewhere after 50 mil... he's a greedy pig of a man and you expect him to honour stuff... when he's already shown he doesn't...

Completely wrong! The alliance with the most seats in the National Assembly appoints the prime minister. When this alliance is different then the alliance the president is coming from (and that is exactly the situation at the monent) than the president’s power getting lower, in the most situations he needs the prime minister too. And the prime minister appoints the minister cabinet. Felix have nothing to say about the minister.

Sama 2 government, the renewal or not of Kayinda among the subjects on the table

Last updated Jul 21, 2022
images-2.jpeg

The Sama Lukonde 2 Government is in the pipeline. This new team will be published in the near future, reliable sources say.

The days of the Sama Lukonde I Government are now numbered. Described as a "Warrior", the second government of the Tshisekedi era, appointed on April 12, invested on April 26, 2021 and composed of 56 members, including 16 women will soon have to join the past and prepare to pass the witness to another government team.

Kayinda's renewal or not, at the heart of the debates

Among the 16 ladies of the Sama Lukonde 1 Government, the renewal or not of the one in charge of the Ministry of the Portfolio, Princess Adèle Kayinda, is already on the table and poses a real problem, according to the same observers.

Bahati opposite, Kayinda hangs on

These analysts also inform that Modeste Bahati, the moral authority of the AFDC-A, and its party member, Adèle Kayinda, are fired. The Minister of the Portfolio would be in disgrace to her party leader. As much as Modeste Bahati would do everything to remove Kayinda from the next team of the National Executive, Adèle Kayinda would multiply evidence of loyalty to the Head of State, to hope to be on Sama's list 2. In any case, the last word will be the arbitration of President Félix Tshisekedi himself.

An old article showing the Minister of Portfolio’s complicity.

The sale of the mining assets of the Cominière was done with the complicity of Adèle Kayinda

On August 9, 2022
images-5.jpeg

The General Inspectorate of Finance (IGF) has produced a report, which is already on the table of Prime Minister Sama Lukonde. This damning report provides information on the sale of mining assets of Congolaise d'exploitation minière SA (Cominière).

This documented report reveals several irregularities that tread the principles of good governance and sweeps the rule of law on the back of hand to anyone who wants to hear it by the country's leaders.

In this document, the IGF points an accusing finger at the Director General of this company, with the authorization of the Ministry of the Portfolio. Alingete Key's services also highlight assets of US$150 million sold to Chinese to the tune of US$34 million.

Having established the criminal liability of those responsible for the Cominière, the IGF report also points out the illegal and irregular transfer of shares, their undervaluation, the misuse of income and sales money not traced by the services of Alingete Key.

Suspicious mutism

If the Alingete Key IGF has done its share of the work, it remains for the Government to do its own. And this is the knot of the problem. Since the transmission of the report to the Head of Government to date, for any reaction of the National Executive, it is total silence. The radio silence. A suspicious silence.

This difficult to understand reaction of the Government cannot be explained by many observers, who continue to question the real motives of this aphasia, which characterizes the Prime Minister first, then the ministers of the Portfolio, Mines, Justice...

Minister Kayinda of the Portfolio accomplice?

Trying to deepen the questions raised by the previous questions, analysts are wondering if we should rather look for the side of the responsible minister, Adèle Kayinda, Minister of the Portfolio. Otherwise, how can we understand that the Government is dragging its feet so much before "sl hitting" following serious revelations? What is the responsible minister waiting for to sanction the company's leaders, whose interim is several years, a record achieved without interest to the Government or even Parliament who are supposed to defend the interests of the country and the population.
