BRN Discussion Ongoing

Just for some clarity, can you please clarify exactly what material events have occurred that have not been disclosed to us (and would mean that continuous disclosure obligations have not been met).

Before you do though, I'd just like to note:

  1. If a company has licensed our IP then an announcement will be required
  2. We have already received announcements for the IP licensing deals with Renasas and Megachips
  3. What Renasas and Megachips do with our IP is their business, we won't receive announcements when their customers implement our technology
  4. Our licensing partners don't need to disclose any information to us about their customers
  5. Our licensing partners do need to inform us of sales volumes etc so that we can invoice for royalties appropriately
  6. We have already received an announcement for the commercialisation of the akida boards, raspberry pies etc
  7. We will not receive announcements every time a company orders a board to test our technology
  8. Companies don't have to license our technology to be able to use it - they can utilise our technology via Renasas and Megachips (which means we may never find out who some of the companies that use our technology are)
  9. The 4C contains engineering support fees which indicates that we have been assisting prospective customers and/or our licensing partners with the implementation of akida in products
  10. Until a product is commercialised and sold, we will not receive royalties
From where I stand, your 'cone of silence' comment is unfair. We know exactly who has licensed our IP. We know our tech is commercially available. We know our tech is silicon proven.

We also receive monthly podcasts which keep us updated on all things happening in the semiconductor and generally at brainchip.

I'd love to know which material events I'm missing.
This needs to be read again.

People directing angst at the Company, have rocks in their heads in my opinion.

If you want to direct your anger at someone, over a slower than expected commercialisation uptake, high petrol prices, high food prices, "high" interest rates etc etc..

There's only one man to blame..

If you don't know his name, I'm not sure what to say about that 🤔..

BrainChip will be hugely successful and will have visible use cases, everywhere in the World around us, or there will be Armageddon.

I don't see another option.

The BrainChip team, are still working their hearts out, so all shareholders can benefit immensely in the future.

If you're upset about the meatless broth, that was served up in the 4C..

Maybe consider a Bex and a good lay down..

I was cursing someone's name today and they are definitely mortal..

Still holding, but come on $100k was a shot in the arm to most if not all of us.
Yeah I must admit it was a bit of an anti-climax, after getting my hopes up!

We were told income will be lumpy. Half year had good numbers and included licenses that we will bill for in future. This is just cash received in the quarter. I rather look at broader opportunity than three month of cash receipts

Company does not have any new license deals and that's after aggressively expanding the sales team & hiring "seasoned AI semiconductor sales executive"...

They should get their shit together and focus on ⁶ executing material deals, all these EAPs & NDAs are not good enough, even much more smaller companies have those and we need to remember that being best doesn't mean we will succeed... if a big company with somewhat comparable technology can easily fk us up...

I know people will say but we have Renesas & MegaChips deals... yes we do but we 'only' have those two and they were executed a while ago... wtf is happening with Valeo, Ford, Nasa, Vorago Tech, and other EAPs hiding behind 'NDAs'?

100k in revenue is a disgrace, even sales team alone will cost us much more than that not to mention cost of hiring engineers /support engineers...

Ah well, I guess it won't change anything fundamentally other than the fact that there were no additional cash inflows :(

Very sad and disappointing
Its a wonder you're still holding then...clearly you must see a positive future. The company stated it would be "lumpy" so you only have your own expecation to be annoyed with.

Pretty Pretty Pretty Pretty Good
Revenue from IP was always going to be slower than direct sales but it will be greater in the long term......the company flagged this strategy earlier. It's all about ubiquitous drip feeding which will be greater than the odd blood donation.........happy Halloween

NO!!!!!

I spent a lifetime on the tools and thought that was the reason my body was disintegrating. Turns out it was carbs (sugar). Can do keto as a vegetarian, just need to swear off grains mostly and potatoes.

And fruit juice, may as well be drinking neat scotch!!!

Edit.....

Get PF on the case,

Maybe he/she/they (yawn) can search for Robert Lustig, Ben Bikman, Peter Brukner.

Tried to link............................

The Food Revolution 2016

You will need to copy/paste etc.....
You had me till you compare fruit juice with scotch.

Scotch is proven in a University study to reduce back pain when taken as directed which is often.

What has fruit juice ever done to reduce back pain.

I call for all Scotch lovers even those without back pain to continue the ongoing research as there can never be too much data. 😁

Just for a correct understanding:
4C reports only customer receipts, that means, how much of the previous sale was received in cash, is this right?
It does not show any sort of revenue at all.

Corresponding to the half year report of June 30, revenue was 4.831.081 USD of which 1.553.000 now (see "customer receipts") have been paid so far.

Net loss the half-year endet June was about 8.255.802 USD (for the period). Cash at end of quarter (30.9.) was 24.641.000 USD.

As it says in the headline, a 4C is a quarterly cash flow report. That differs from the usual "Quartalsberichte". There is no statement made about EBIT here or revenue/Umsatz.

cassip

So why did BrN wait until after the asx closed to put out the 4C announcement? As that was probably the worse timing ever if you ask me unless we get a trading halt before opening tomorrow, otherwise I think that’s a dreadful decision by the management and someone should be held accountable
I agree with this sentiment. Although its not something I'm too concerned with, overall the feeling that hiding a 4c (by any company) at the end of the day is just suicidal. Lunch time when the markets are at their quietest. Why after market so all the shorters and funds can get together and work on an overall plan to root retail in the arse over and over. All companies seem to do it, I just don't understand the mentality. Anyway, I can't sell because my buy is too low and I'd hate to sell some make 5-10% but would end up not buying as many back. I'd probably be better off to do so, but I'm too busy to watch the best time to buy and sell. I bought a large amount of Resmed (ASX RMD) early 2003. That has shown me how investing makes wealth not trying to second guess the market. Good luck all with whatever you decide.

Let's see how in earnest the bots are tomorrow. Will anyone be surprised if they are turned up to maximum manipulation settings? I think not.
Now there is a beneficial use of expectation as an investor.

I feel very disappointed as well as many others here. As a few folks have said, the fundamentals have not changed. Nor the timeframe that our CEO said we should start getting really excited at the next AGM. Deja Vu for me as well as I remember Q3 last year as being a pretty poor quarterly as well.
I assumed revenue was larger seeing we paid 250K (EURO) to secure JAST's tech, but this was on October 13th. So I am also quite confused in the report which said this was paid in the 'September' quarter.
Nonetheless, revenue was supposed to be 'lumpy', so I hope this will be the last thin part of the big thick lump coming.

Also, bugger off to HC you 'emerged' 'holders'. You are not welcome here.

After 5 beer for a 62kg bodyweight. It's bed time for me.

Tomorrow will be a another day. Who knows what tomorrow will bring. Brainchip's fundamentals has not changes, as is the belief in my investment with Brainchip.

It's not great to be a shareholder today.
However, It's will be great to be a shareholder 🏖 in a few day time.

There are arguments for both. Reports can be slipped in at lunchtime, but I guess there is an old idea that a night's sleep heals wounds. Also after lunch the market is still open. Who is likely to FOMO sell in the afternoon? Retail will without the aid of bots etc.
I felt the 4C was not going to be positive as it wasn't released the two days after NASDAQ green days this week unlike the other tech companies in my portfolio. But in hindsight it is probably a good thing as well seeing some will just chase whatever is trending.
Love the quote about not second guessing the market Skutza. I completely agree. Nice investing with Resmed. Big winner there over time.

Looking at big companies SP over time (like RMD) as well, it never was smooth sailing. Amazon's went down over 100% over certain periods for years until it started to catapult. Apple as well just before they successfully commercialised the smart phone.
She'll be right.

Bravo

If ARM was an arm, BRN would be its biceps💪!
Only for Bravo 🥰😘

There is one animal for which my homeland, Sweden, is particularly famous. And you could say that Mercedes-Benz AG also has a very special connection to it: I’m referring to the moose, of course – or rather the so-called ‘moose test’.

I remember all too well the news 25 years ago, reporting how the then-new A-Class rolled during the evasive manoeuvre test conducted by the Swedish magazine “Teknikens Värld”. Looking back, the incident marks nothing less than an historic turning point: #MercedesBenz upgraded all 18,000 vehicles already delivered at no cost to customers and from February 1998, the system became a standard feature in the A-Class. From 1999 onwards, all model series were successively equipped with ESP® as a standard feature and in November 2011, it even became a legal requirement for all new car registrations in Europe!

Today, the brake control system is closely networked with more than 100 vehicle functions. And with our advances in #software, we continue to drive our vision of accident-free driving: in the future, a central software based on the future MB.OS platform will replace the current architecture with its many control units and lines. This will minimise possible sources of error and provide the basis for control systems to respond to sensor signals even faster.

Thanks Sirod, I love mooses although I can’t remember what the collective noun for them is - “meece“ perhaps? 😝

This is a great reminder of the faith Mercedes has in its systems which have evolved over time eventually becoming standard legal requirements in new vehicles. It’s a good thing for us that they now consider the central software system indispensable for safe, accident-free driving and we can only hope that one day BrainChip’s technology will go on to form an intrinsic part of standardized central software systems everywhere.

B x 🥰🦌
