Thanks FF. Thought we would be OK but the term 'black swan event' made my antennae twitch.
If you don't have dreams, you can't have dreams come true!
There is a book my son gave me and I am part through reading “The Black Swan, The Impact of the Highly Improbable by Nassim Nicholas Taleb”.
It is an extension of my “unknown, unknown” theory. I am only in about a quarter of the way but he makes out a compelling case that Black Swan Events can create incredible opportunities.
Apparently the Black Swan use came from English explorers discovering black swans in Australia an event that no one had even contemplated because all swans until then were white. An unknown unknown.
So actually the original discovery of a black swan was not a disaster but a fabulous revelation.
If as is being predicted startups fall over in droves because there only reason for being was an idea and free money then this can only be a benefit to companies like Brainchip who are the real deal and cashed up with product to sell. Being the last hardwood tree left standing after a cyclone allows you to standout and be highly valued for what you are now that all the rubbish has been cleared away.
Too early to say what other positives might flow but one I would speculate on is an abundance of talented young engineers and sales people looking for employment with a dynamic science fiction producing company.
On the flip side attempts at poaching of Brainchip staff will likely die away.
We will no doubt see more as this unfolds.
The Black Swan Event is not something to fear but it is an Event to exploit.
If anyone reads this book you might think as I do that the release of AKIDA 2nd generation is a Black Swan Event of greater magnitude than the failure of Silicon Valley Bank.
My opinion only DYOR
