You know how LG Electronics' are working in close collaboration with trusted partner Mercedes-Benz? If you don't check out the link dated 12 Jan 2022 below which says "As an innovative partner for future mobility, LG Electronics' Vehicle component Solutions (VS) Company is working with global automakers such as Mercedes-Benz AG to become a leading developer of connectivity, infotainment and ADAS solutions to deliver differentiated in-vehicle experiences".

You also knew it was LG Electronics'newest premium in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) system that will be a central feature in the 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS EV sedan, etc.

Well now it has just recently been annoucement (cupla days ago) that LG and SoundHound are teaming up to develop an advanced AI voice system to enable conversational voice control in vehicles. SoundHound's voice recognition technology will be integrated with LG's in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) system, allowing drivers to control key functions using natural language commands.

Hey Brain Fam,

Due to the information and connections outlined above, I've been tracking how SoundHound are progressing with interest. Obviously LG think that voice recognition will be in extremely high demand and "the next big thing" - this being the central reason for them teaming up with SoundHound.

I can't help getting VERY excited at the potential for BrainChip's involvement in this burgeoning "voice recognition" space, particularly given both of these companies would be aware of Akida's capabilities by virtue of their involvement with Mercedes, (think EQXX with 5 to 10 times better traditional voice control due to BrainChip's technology).

If you're interested in how next-gen voice control technology is going to revolutionise the way we all do things, then have a peek at this SoundHound video introducing its Dynamic Interaction feature. Not saying we're involved in this but it's just one example of how we are entering into a very exciting time with new and innovative technologies coming to market, the likes of which could all be improved in some shape or form with the incorporation of Akida IMO.

Mercedes-Benz is exploring how neuromorphic chips could bring new AI capabilities to its vehicles​

Experimental computer chips that try to mimic the way human brains work could accelerate the use of voice and gesture commands in automobiles, researchers at Intel Corp. and Accenture PLC say.

The cutting-edge technique, known as neuromorphic computing, could use significantly less energy than traditional computer- and graphic-processing units that connect wirelessly to a car via the cloud. Today’s cars don’t have the AI capabilities to recognize many speech and gesture commands, in part because of the energy requirements necessary to make those functions work.

Car makers are recognizing the need for AI methods that consume less energy, which is one reason why neuromorphic computing can be beneficial, said Tim Shea, technology researcher at Accenture Labs. “They’re already running up against limitations of [current chips] not being scalable enough,” he said.

German auto maker Mercedes-Benz AG announced last week it had joined the Intel Neuromorphic Research Community to explore how neuromorphic chips could help increase energy efficiency, speed and accuracy for vehicle-related AI uses.

“With the knowledge we’ll gain, we want to achieve a significant boost for our AI applications in and around our vehicles,” said Jasmin Eichler, director of future technologies at Mercedes-Benz, in a statement.

Intel’s neuromorphic chips could begin selling commercially within five years, according to Mike Davies, director of Intel’s Neuromorphic Computing Lab.

Applications powered by neuromorphic chips inside a car could help recognize when a person is shivering and automatically adjust the temperature, Accenture Labs researchers say. They could also recognize a voice command to turn on the car or roll down the window. The chips would be integrated in the car itself and would not need to connect to the cloud in order to work.

Accenture Labs worked on a neuromorphic computing experiment this year with an undisclosed car maker. In the experiment, a neuromorphic chip made by Intel Labs, named Loihi, recognized voice commands such as “start the engine.” The chip consumed 1,000 times less power and responded 200 milliseconds faster than a standard GPU, Mr. Shea said.

Intel is among several companies, universities and startups, such as International Business Machines Corp. , SynSense and Applied Brain Research, that are studying neuromorphic computing. “The industry is looking for new ways of developing AI systems with much lower power consumptions,” said Alan Priestley, AI technologies analyst at research firm Gartner Inc.

Energy consumption is an impediment to some AI deployments. Developing a single AI model, for example, can have a carbon footprint equivalent to the lifetime emissions of five average U.S. cars, according to researchers at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

With neuromorphic computing, it is possible to train machine-learning models using a fraction of the data it takes to train them on traditional computing hardware. That means the models learn similarly to the way human babies learn, by seeing an image or toy once and being able to recognize it forever, The Wall Street Journal has previously reported.

The technique uses significantly less energy than today’s GPUs, which are one of the main computer chips used for AI systems, especially neural networks. Neural networks are used in speech recognition and understanding, as well as computer vision.

Another advantage of the computing technique is that it is “event-driven,” meaning it is only computing and using energy when it is activated by an event, such as a voice or gesture command. “It’s not just computing all the time in a uniform way, whether there’s activity or not,” said Alex Kass, a fellow and principal director at Accenture Labs.

Neuromorphic chips can be placed inside cars to do the computing “at the edge,” or inside the car itself, without needing to access the cloud. That means the AI functions always work, even in areas with bad connectivity, such as national forests, Accenture researchers say.

The chips are expected to be the predominant computing architecture for new, advanced forms of AI deployments by 2025, according to Gartner. By that year, Gartner predicts the technology will displace graphics-processing units.

All I can Picture is the Brainchip team lead by PVM sitting back thinking, why all this fuss? We made it very clear early on what we had and where we were going with it. What part of "EVERYWHERE" and "EVERYTHING" was so difficult to understand?

Anyway back to finalizing the AKIDA 2000 and hopefully people caught on what this will achieve, transformers anyone? Here's a quick reminder, what they say is pretty much what will happen.

As pointed out by other posters I wouldn't be counting on any particular 4C to form a view of the value in owning BRN.
Its wise to view the wider picture of their now (and for a while now) highly substantial partner ecosystem, licencees and massive list of potential licencees/partners.
I would not want to be standing in front of that snowball.

2022 were significantly different in 33 states and the District of Columbia compared with current state estimates from
the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ (BLS) Current Employment Statistics (CES). Early benchmark estimates indicated higher
changes in four states, lower changes in 29 states and the District of Columbia, and lesser changes in the remaining 17
states.

US 2 years bond yields have rolled over = rate rises finished. Chart with US02Y overlayed with USINTR shows everytime the US02Y rolls over is at peak of rate rise cycle. April 1989, January 1995, June 2000, July 2006, November 2018 rate rises peaked when US 2 year rolled over like now.

Highly unlikely US terminal rate will be 5.1%. The Fed has finished hiking regardless of what they say.

Words are the biggest "tools" they have, to regulate the currency environment.

Western economies, were already struggling with close to zero and in some cases negative real interest rates.

Interest rates are still very low and yet many real people are struggling, because of years of artificially, ultra low rates.

High inflation is the new normal now and cannot be reigned in, with their token attempts.
Volcker style interest rate rises to around 20% are what's needed, but this is impossible, with fake economies and high government and personal debt.

Even destroying the fragile economies further, with these "small" rises (no honest government can claim a strong economy, while having ultra low interest rates) will only disadvantage the already disadvantaged further.
While those without debts, will just shrug it off, or complain without due reason, about the price of steak..

The World is heading in the wrong direction, with pretty much everything.

Just 200 years of industrialisation and the World is basically crippled.

They just had to find a way to save face before doing so, and inviting Brainchip to join their IFS programme was the perfect foil. Have no doubt, a license is not far away.

Can you imagine the panic going on within the hierarchy of IBM and other biggies right now. If they want to stay in the game, they must ”do an Intel” and join the revolution...they simply have no choice.

If they still think they can take another route, the imminent release of Akida 2.0 will blow these thoughts asunder. Everyone will eventually use Akida in some way. It’ll be in everything…even your Weet-Bix !!

Hi Realinfo.
I’m looking at a bigger picture than Intel getting a licence. Our patents have shut their gate and I’m more inclined to think it’s just a matter of time for Intel to take a major stake in Brainchip. Certainly a Win Win for both companies. We are only just over a billion dollar company and I’m sure Intel will strike at the current share price sooner rather than latter.

This partnership has now quashed any previous doubts I’ve had on our future. Everyone’s going to want a piece of this goldmine. I’ve never been this excited about our prospects with the news over the last two weeks. Really happy to be bolted on for the next few years.

I am expecting an increase in sales revenue possibly not explosive. Why because Sean has already made the public statement that the war and economic situation has put us back by up to six months so I am expecting an explosive growth after q1 or q2 but I am confident that there will be some $$$ this q. I think the AGM will be worth the trip from the West as it may be a pleasant experience.
