I don't think they are in as much pain as we think/hope.I think the shorters are desperate and have been for the last 4 months. They are trapped and they know it, hence all the crap that’s happened on the hc forum. I think there is still 50 mil + share shorted and 95% of does are below the closing price. The harder the try fighting there way out, the deeper they are getting themselves in the shit. It’s been interesting watching them try manipulating the price down only to see the share price bounce back up quicker than it went down. It look like from my view that the institutions are using the shorters to accumulate. I still think our next big move up will be from a short rally.
So happy to be in this forum as I can finally read without my blood boiling.
I think most of them would have set a stop loss and reset their position at the higher price point on the day. This would limit their losses, and does not show up on the ASX as a new short.
They are not setting their positions for a long term, I stand to be corrected on this.
