BRN Discussion Ongoing

Pretty Pretty Pretty Pretty Good
I was just looking at the BRN SP chart below and keen to hear what peoples thoughts are moving forward tomorrow once we break through $1.27 resistance? Could we see a run all the way to $1.765, and with more good news break the $2 level again?

Valeo leading the LIDAR race..

@Bravo @Diogenese

This is what I've been trying to find thanks @Reuben - Valeo started producing LiDARs in Wemding in 2017 and released the second generation of its cutting-edge sensor in 2021. Valeo has produced more than 170,000 since. The confidence of automakers in Valeo’s LiDAR was recently reaffirmed when Stellantis chose Valeo’s Gen-3 SCALA to equip multiple upcoming models of its automotive brands anticipated to hit the market in 2024.

From the Valeo vid yesterday (can't find), they said in the last minute of the vid Gen-3 hasn't been completed. They're finalising it.

In 2021, the world saw the first two vehicles on the market certified for level 3 autonomy: the Honda Legend in Japan and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class in Germany. Valeo equipped both cars with its innovative SCALA LiDAR sensor (has to be Gen 2) – the key to achieving the new level of autonomous driving – which is produced at its plant in Wemding, Germany.

Gen 2 doesn't have Akida and it has to be the gen 2's they are now putting into the Merc EQE's as an option and installing the Gen 3's in all vehicles as standard in 2024 which do have Akida and some Stellantis models now as well. Once again, not until 2024.

Valeo recently signed a major contract with BMW to provide the automaker with the domain controller, sensors and software for parking and maneuvering on its upcoming platform generation “Neue Klasse.” Hein says fusion and domain controllers will be the “future growth engine” for the site. (Is the domain controller the same as the ADAS ECU's in the BRN white paper? The wafer in the boot?)

Has been posted before many times. But more and more websites are putting it out

Developed in conjunction with California-based artificial intelligence (AI) specialist BrainChip, the system is said to significantly reduce energy consumption. For example, Mercedes claims the “Hey Mercedes” voice control system in the Vision EQXX is five to ten times more efficient than the setup in current production cars.
Combine that with Brainchip's automotive white paper and it sends out some serious markers on where we will be in a couple of years! Time to get excited as we head into the next two quarters I think.

I think that's this platform. Unfortunately only the trial version.

The page apparently only knows the big companies and not Brainchip. They may have chosen Intel as a representative of the companies in the article.

But at least I played around with it a little bit.
But now I also understand the context. Thanks!

Just updated charts from last 21 / 7 as at today.

Still gotta churn through that last mini run in May that could have some traders wanting out. Break here brings mid 1.30's into play imo.

Yes we have a bunch of patents but are they specific to the edge is what the article is saying imo.

Start patenting specific edge solutions combing say Akida and SiFive and hmmmm

Didn't Intel acquire a Risc-V company recently? Can't recall who but if correct then they see merit in that solution.
They joined the consortium directly. I hope this hasn't already been posted, otherwise I'll delete that too.)
"has joined RISC-V International at the Premier membership level"

So today I'm off the mark... 🤷‍♂️
I should be busy with something else.
I think you mean this: Intel and the Barcelona Supercomputing Centre (BSC) have announced a €400 million investment in a new lab dedicated to developing RISC-V processors.

So 1b directly into the consortium of RISC-V and another 400M into BSC.

It's because Merc are giving all the Car scribes a chance to test drive it around the track. So they're writing all about their test drive and the car again.

MB must have finished all their testing.

If this was posted last qtr I missed it. If so, probably timely to give it another run. The vid is about BRN's 1st qtr results for the calendar year.

True story:
Once upon a time, when MS Windows was but a pup, a non-computer savvy colleague had his first work PC.
He wanted to tidy the Windows Desktop, so he dragged all the icons (Wordperfect, Lotus 123, ...) on the Desktop to the Trash icon ... it was a bit like a snake swallowing its tail ...
Still it provided hours of amusement for the IT Dept.
Also a true story:
There was once a young woman working on her master's thesis with an early PC many many years ago. All of a sudden an inferno broke out. She got a raging fit of rage and almost died from it. When she then after an hour of destroying and howling with rage again came to the language she said:
"I have saved my work away!!!" 😡
"Ich habe meine Arbeit weggespeichert!!!“

This saying has been etched for all time for me.
She started all over again...
When her father noticed the seizure over two floors, he immediately left the room and retreated to the rooms of his mainframe. I was still a child at that time. Looking back, this is one of the funniest stories for me from the early days of electronic data processing.
A few years later, I had my fun throwing this mainframe out the window into a large container, without worrying I was still young. However, looking back that is rather sad for me...
The keyboard alone with printout for each command had cost the equivalent of about 500,000AUD (670kDM)! I kept the bill 😉
