The Sony Corporate Research and Development Center is building a team of innovative and eager researchers in Schlieren, Switzerland to conduct research with focus on the novel Event-based Vision Sensor. We want to accelerate the redefinition of computer vision based on the distinct characteristics of this sensor.
Therefore, we are looking for a talented, motivated and software affine Neuromorphic Perception Research Engineer (m/f/d) to support our research activities combining modern computer vision techniques, the Event-based Vision Sensor and Neuromorphic Computing to achieve an end-to-end neuromorphic perception system.
Your responsibilities will be
- Fundamental research primarily concerned with event-based sensor technology and creation of intellectual property
- Development and implementation of computer vision and sensor fusion algorithms on real-time platforms utilizing neuromorphic computing
- Implementation of proof-of-concept demonstrators with novel cameras and devices from robotics area
- Support establishment of a R&D infrastructure which facilitates teamwork for research & development
- Willing to continually learn new skills and share your expertise with others through close collaboration with colleagues
Profile:
- Background in Engineering or Computer Science (PhD or equivalent experience). A track record of relevant academic publications, patents, and/or open-source software is a plus.
- Strong background in Neuromorphic Computing and experience developing Neural Network applications, preferably with Spiking Neural Networks
- Experience with event-based cameras, robotics or autonomous vehicles is a plus.
- Experience with optical, image sensor, or camera technology and their associated computer vision principles is a plus.
- We expect passion for good software with strong skills in in C/C++, Python and related tools. Experience with embedded software development and/or ROS is a plus.
- We hope for good communication skills and willingness to work in an agile team.
- Excellent oral and written English. German and/or Japanese language skills are a plus.

Hey, sorry guys.
I do not want to throw the cat amongst the pigeons but suggest anyone thinking of investing with NVISO take a look at the thread highlighted to me by Rise a page or so back. It is a thread describing what are perhaps disgruntled, perhaps manipulative players who purport to have been involved in previous capital raising's and were disappointed with the outcome thus far.
It may be ancient history and it may be all bullshit, but I think it worth being aware of, in case there is any truth attached.
I had and have no further knowledge of these events beyond what I have read in that thread and sincerely hope that I am not spreading baseless rumours with this post, but suggest to DYOR on this matter.

Thank you for pointing this out. I'd seen various images in the investor presentations, however hadn't appreciated this was actually gaze tracking (compared with the emotion recognition software).
I have been a convertible note investor for some time. I would counsel doing research and engaging in direct Q&A with management. I think it would be important to view the Balance Sheet before dropping any $ to determine the overall health of the company.
It does not seem like the last funding round (May?) was successful. Due to the number of funding rounds and [limited] progress they may be struggling to raise via brokers. It may have been posted here but the latest correspondence highlights a focus on securing a strategic partner. This seems like a good idea, but i wonder if this may deprioritise an IPO?
Hopefully this does not sound 'manipulative' however communication from the company has been poor in my experience. There has been a lot of newsflow recently. I wonder if this is one last-ditch attempt to keep the company afloat.
I like the sector, but would much prefer to back BRN.
