Not entirely happy but I can reconcile the logic. It must be supported by another decent deal though by AGM to bolster some confidence back into the mkt.

Meanwhile.....

Today would be a brilliant day for a short squeeze… it would catch them all off guard in their selling frenzy. I’ll make this day my personal holiday if it happens! Wouldn’t that also be a masterstroke from the management?

I’ve been a part owner/supporter of this company for years (check my posting history if you want) but I’m starting to get punch drunk. There’s absolutely no doubt that parties shorting BRN knew this LDA announcement was coming. It doesn’t matter if ultimately this LDA deal is great for BRN the market runs on sentiment and today BRN sentiment is garbage and someone is cleaning up. I’d love to know who the major buyers of shares were during the recent rise. The sheer volume indicates it wasn’t retail. Rant over haha.
Anyway, back to hoping for a substantial IP licensing deal. I’m still confident and I’m thinking TATA. The big learning point for me is now knowing the time it takes to commercialise nascent tech. Until true commercialisation occurs we remain a bourse punching bag. Onward.

You are right. We are in fact cashed up for present needs.
The LDA agreement might have been a condition to a deal in negotiation? The other party may have insisted on significant more cash backing before proceeding?
Otherwise we could have waited before raising.
Perhaps a BRN cashed up signal for those at CES25?
Do I like dilution ...No.... but in this case i think it's very prudent given the financial, political uncertainty in the world not to mention wars etc. etc.
From the previous announcements, AFRL and Frontgrade Gaisler, it would seem to me that Brainchip would need to have a very long runway of cash to satisfy their investment in us.
From the AFRL ASX announcement "AFRL will begin making milestone payments in January 2025. Periodic payments will continue throughout the year concluding in February of 2026. "
AFRL would want to know that we were secure long past February 2026 otherwise their time would be better spent elsewhere. Our product is a clear leader in the neuromorphic / Edge AI space and Brainchip needs to exude confidence to our ecosystem partners (current and future) through, among many things, financial stability.

This is not Financial Advice, DYOR, GLTA

Brainchip is in terms of Akida the clear leader – not hard to be the leader of its own product.

But in terms of customers who are willing to pay for it and in terms of contracts Brainchip is clearly not the leader.

At CES we may see how the market acts in terms of "Brainchip is the leader"!

Yes, currently I am very disappointed about Brainchip!

Hopefully one day I would be able to understand what happens these days at Brainchip!!

I have fully trust to our CTO !
From our CMO I hear nearly nothing!
...let us not talk about our CEO !

Keep in mind, though, that Ericsson has been closely collaborating with Intel for years (they even established a joint lab in Santa Clara, CA in 2022), including on the implementation of neuromorphic technology.

Their paper was published in December 2023.
So how do you know they have been using Akida in their research from at least 2022? 🤔
yes published in Dec 23 but working backwards from request for access to Akida, planning and delivering the experiment and writing and publishing would take at least a year. Probably more.

Given our recent 2 client wins - Space and USAF and recent statements from Sean concerning more good news coming why would an arrangement for future cash to drive growth be bearish.
It actually sounds bullish.
Forget dilution worries. It's a US company and once listed over their they will join the buy back club.

I'm still very curious as to who will be the subcontractor partner for the AFRL deal.

A big name partner should instill some confidence you'd think.

How does one pay 50c a share when you can buy it in the market for 34c 🤔
Maybe CES 2025 may come to the rescue with some interesting news / announcements to follow !!!

Toth it's a 50c deal, that's a good deal for brn and shareholders. simple math. Happy Tuesday, my return to work day. boomity boom boom
Why is do you think it's 50c deal?

I believe they are stating that an additional minimum drawdown of $20 million is required by no later than June 2026 and they plan to issue 40 million shares during the next capital call or by 30 June 2025, whichever comes first. The issue price will be set at 91.5% of the average daily Volume Weighted Average Price (VWAP) calculated over the pricing period when shares are sold.

This price is not fixed at 50 cents but depends on the VWAP at that time.

Hopefully, the share price will exceed a dollar by then.

Sorry i just have to laugh how people think this is a bad thing lol We are securing funding for the further development and progress in response to customer engagements. This is all positive.

Under the agreement the max number of shares to be issued is 40mil. this is max not min. and the amount of $20mil provided is a min of $20mil. Pager 1 of 5 Appendix 3B Maximum Number of +securities to be issued BRN ORDINARY FULLY PAID 40,000,000 So from this reading Brainchip will get $20 mil for an exchange of max 40mil shares, which means they could get $20 million for less number of shares issued.

So if the price vwap (91.5% of that) equates to say $2 (rounding to make it easy) by the time Brainchip make the call LDA would receive 10 mil shares for $20 mil dollars. Again simple math. but hey i'm no genius.

of course imo

Hard to watch Dave being given a reason to short.......but more funding secured for the runway and at a nice premium to current SP instills some confidence in Larry

Yes Larry. Agree. Don't want to ever let finances get low. Prophesee is a good example. A little dilution in the big scheme of things is ok with me. JIMO. Bloodsuckers and big boys can destroy you if you have a weak balance sheet. Keep on cruising on.

Ericcson are all over this. good news is that they have been using Akida in their research from at least 2022

A Communication stack prototype for AI-enabled ZE-IoT devices To demonstrate the feasibility of low-energy AI and low-energy communication in a ZE-IoT device, we have built an example use case, as illustrated in Figure 4. The ZE-IoT device consists of a low-power camera, a neuromorphic AI chip (the Akida neural chip from BrainChip), a low-power radio and a solar panel. The application assumes that the camera takes a picture (e.g., when triggered by a motion sensor), runs a neural network to create the neural embedding of the image (i.e., extracts the neural features from the image), and sends the neural embedding vector via a custom radio stack tailored for AI data that implements approximate and intermittent communication.

This makes me wonder. In the early phases could we put pressure on getting a massive license deal by only offering an IP license to 2 firms in an industry and chuck a premium on that and an ACT NOW. Nees some thought but knowing you will have exclusivity in some form could trigger a biddding war.
The more i look into 6g the more it is opening up significant opportunities. a simple chatgpt question really shows the opportunity areas.

so when is 6g coming?

will 6g rely on neuromorphic chips

ChatGPT said:

The development of 6G (sixth-generation wireless technology) will likely incorporate a range of advanced computing and networking technologies, potentially including neuromorphic chips, though not exclusively. Here's an exploration of how 6G and neuromorphic chips might intersect:

What 6G Envisions

  1. Massive Data Processing
    • 6G networks are expected to deliver data rates up to 1 Tbps and latency as low as 0.1 milliseconds, far beyond 5G's capabilities.
    • Supporting such performance requires distributed computing, real-time decision-making, and energy-efficient data processing, particularly at the edge.
  2. AI-Driven Networks
    • AI is anticipated to play a central role in 6G, powering tasks like network optimization, resource allocation, and predictive maintenance.
    • Real-time AI-based processing at the edge will be crucial to reduce latency and improve efficiency.
  3. IoT Expansion
    • With trillions of interconnected devices, 6G will rely on intelligent edge devices that can process and respond to sensory data locally, without needing constant communication with centralized servers.

Potential Role of Neuromorphic Chips in 6G

Neuromorphic chips, like those from BrainChip's Akida or Intel's Loihi, could support 6G development in several ways:
  1. Energy-Efficient Edge AI
    • Neuromorphic chips are designed for low-power, event-driven processing, making them ideal for edge devices in IoT systems connected to 6G networks.
    • They could enable real-time AI in devices like smart sensors, drones, or autonomous vehicles without relying heavily on cloud infrastructure.
  2. Dynamic Adaptation
    • Neuromorphic hardware excels at on-device learning and adaptation, allowing 6G-enabled devices to improve their performance over time and adjust to changing conditions without external input.
  3. Sensory Data Processing
    • 6G is expected to handle a variety of sensory inputs, including visual, auditory, and haptic data. Neuromorphic chips are particularly suited to process such multi-modal data efficiently.
  4. Reduced Latency
    • By performing computations locally and reducing reliance on centralized data centers, neuromorphic chips could help achieve the ultra-low latency goals of 6G.
  5. Autonomous Systems and Robots
    • Autonomous systems connected through 6G could benefit from the brain-inspired architectures of neuromorphic chips for decision-making and contextual awareness.

Challenges and Limitations

  1. Integration with Existing Systems
    • Neuromorphic computing is still in its early stages, and integrating it into 6G infrastructure would require significant development in both hardware and software.
  2. Task-Specific Nature
    • Current neuromorphic chips excel in specific areas (e.g., pattern recognition) but may not yet offer the general-purpose capabilities required for all aspects of 6G networks.
  3. Competition from Other Technologies
    • Other emerging technologies, such as quantum computing, advanced GPUs, and TPUs, may also play significant roles in 6G, potentially overshadowing the role of neuromorphic chips.
  4. Scalability
    • Scaling neuromorphic chips to support the massive infrastructure required for 6G networks presents a technical challenge.

Conclusion

Neuromorphic chips are well-suited to address some of the critical needs of 6G, particularly in low-power edge computing, real-time AI, and adaptive systems. While they may not be the backbone of 6G, they are likely to play a complementary role alongside other advanced computing technologies. As 6G evolves, neuromorphic chips could become a vital component in achieving the ambitious goals of this next-generation network.

Interesting action
Since the start of 2024 and the first 3 days of 2025 a total of daily shorts is 337,163,727 for a daily average (262 days) of 1,286,884 per day.
Since the 10.12.2024 announcement of the US Air Research Lab short equal 91,6743,064 for a daily average (17 days) of 5,392,533 per day.
This is even more stark if you remove the after announcement short spree 2245,690,663 for 245 days at an average of 1,002,003 per day.
What the market is saying is that after 2 good announcements shorter activity went up by 5.4 times.
BOLLOCKS. These pricks KNEW that there would be another funding round.
The level playing field has a decided tilt in the shorter direction.
Rant over
