As reported by a new video shared by Moore's Law is Dead, AMD lost the bid due to its chip's performance and efficiency at 5 watts. The company reportedly wanted Nintendo to push the system in handheld mode at up to 15 watts to get truly next-generation performance, but the Japanese company didn't want to push its console that far, as they didn't want to have a heavier battery. Ultimately, NVIDIA's chip provided the same power as the AMD chip with much better efficiency and a far cheaper node, which was very important for Nintendo to keep costs low.

Please let it be Cochlear Australia!

I love their catch phrase "Hear now. And always".

My partner has hearing issues and suffers terribly from tinnitus, so this is a subject that is extremely close to my heart.

@Bravo ........... so the garage sales still haven"t been that successfull................... :ROFLMAO:

Sales have been abysmal lately. I put this down to the cost of living crisis. No-one has any spare cash to splash out on rocks or boyfriends who have tinnitus.

PS: I have quarterly sale up and running ATM - 50% off on any of the below items. PM me if interested.

Ceva, Inc. and Edge Impulse have established a partnership to augment the Ceva-NeuPro-Nano NPUs with compatibility with the Edge Impulse Platform. This interface will allow AI developers to expedite the development, training, and deployment of sophisticated embedded ML applications for the Ceva NPUs with cycle-accurate performance before the availability of physical hardware. This unprecedented partnership centered on an NPU IP enables AI developers to precisely test and enhance the performance of their edge AI models within the Edge Impulse Platform, hence greatly expediting the time-to-market for NeuPro-Nano-based silicon aimed at AIoT devices.

The Ceva-NeuPro-Nano NPU IP for Embedded AI is an exceptionally efficient, autonomous Edge NPU family tailored for embedded machine learning applications. It provides an ideal equilibrium of ultra-low power consumption and superior performance in a compact space to effectively execute embedded machine learning tasks across many AIoT product categories, including hearables, wearables, home audio, smart home, smart factory, and others.

These AIoT-optimized NPUs are well-suited for Ceva’s extensive client base in wireless connectivity and MCU providers aiming to include their proprietary AI/ML models into their product strategies to improve performance, facilitate growing Edge AI applications, and penetrate new market sectors. The Edge Impulse Platform seamlessly integrates with the NeuPro-Nano hardware, offering ‘no code’ AI capabilities to users, hence significantly streamlining the development and evaluation of embedded machine learning applications.

The Edge Impulse Platform enables the optimization of AI performance for NeuPro-Nano NPUs with minimal or no coding required. Models can be uploaded to or created with the Edge Impulse Platform for expedited development cycles and deployment on NeuPro-Nano. The NeuPro-Nano self-sufficient architecture specifically facilitates AI inference, feature extraction, and DSP workloads prevalent in audio, voice, and vision applications. Its integration with the Edge Impulse Platform guarantees developers precise cycle count emulation for comprehensive end-to-end AI applications.
The Ceva-NeuPro-Nano NPU IP is currently available for license in two highly efficient and optimized versions to accommodate a diverse range of application cases. The Edge Impulse Platform will be accessible for utilization with Ceva-NeuPro-Nano in the forthcoming months.

ZEDEDA and Edge Impulse Partner to Accelerate AI at the Edge

Collaboration to streamline AI model development, deployment and monitoring workflows at the edge

September 24, 2024 01:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ZEDEDA, the leader in edge management and orchestration, and Edge Impulse, the leading platform for building, refining and deploying machine learning models and algorithms to edge devices, today announced a partnership providing end-to-end automation of AI model development, deployment and orchestrating at scale. By working together, ZEDEDA and Edge Impulse will ease the challenges of implementing AI within distributed environments by providing a secure, device-agnostic automated workflow, replacing today’s manual, time-intensive process.
“This collaboration represents a significant step toward the widespread adoption of enterprise edge computing.”

“We’re witnessing firsthand the explosive growth of AI and data-driven initiatives throughout our customer base and have seen the challenges inherent in delivering and iterating these projects within remote and distributed environments,” said Said Ouissal, ZEDEDA’s CEO and founder. “Edge Impulse’s leadership in delivering edge AI models is a great complement to ZEDEDA’s expertise in orchestrating and securing edge applications and devices at scale, and I’m delighted to offer our customers a comprehensive solution to streamline and accelerate their AI transformation efforts.”
Customers implementing AI at the edge must contend with a difficult, multi-step process often requiring both IT and OT involvement. With this joint effort, customers will be able to deploy their Edge Impulse AI models through the ZEDEDA Marketplace, packaged alongside other applications, with a secure, single-click process to fleets of devices. Automatic monitoring of models surfaces relevant information to the data pipeline for continuous model retraining. The expansive Edge Impulse and ZEDEDA ecosystems also provide a wide range of partner technologies that can further propel edge computing initiatives.
“We’re thrilled to partner with ZEDEDA to empower enterprise developers to unlock the full potential of edge AI. By leveraging ZEDEDA’s edge security and virtualization platform, we aim to simplify and accelerate the deployment, management and orchestration of intelligent applications closer to data sources,” said Zach Shelby, Edge Impulse’s CEO and co-founder. “This collaboration represents a significant step toward the widespread adoption of enterprise edge computing.”
The adoption of AI/ML at the edge is surging. Gartner predicts that by 2026, at least 50% of edge computing deployments will involve Machine Learning, up from 5% in 2022.* Gartner also predicts that by 2029, at least 60% of edge computing deployments will use composite AI (both predictive and generative AI [GenAI]), compared to less than 5% in 2023.**
ZEDEDA and Edge Impulse will discuss this collaboration in more detail at an upcoming webinar. Sign up to receive more details.
