You do have to love the simplicity of the 100s of competitors all working on Ai about to burst onto the market and destroy shareholders wealth.
The problem with this simplistic argument is the complete failure to acknowledge that developing true Ai is not something that you can knock up in your garage in a couple of days.
Intel has been working on trying to do what Brainchip has done for many, many years and Loihi 1 and Loihi 2 are still only research chips and far from being commercialised as they are still incomplete technologies that Mike Davies has suggested could be up to 5 years away from being ready.
IBM has been working on trying to do what Brainchip has done for many, many years and yet True North still sits as a research chip in the lab and they have gone off in another direction abandoning the idea they will produce true Ai any year soon.
Brainchip's technology has been 15 years in the making.
Yet we are encouraged to worry that 100s of unnamed companies working on neuromorphic Ai will suddenly come to market with a commercially ready chip out of the blue that will leap ahead of AKD1000, AKD1500, AKIDA 2.0, TENNs and even AKIDA 3.0 which is currently in development and be so impressive that all of the companies currently partnered and trialling AKIDA technologies will say sorry we are going back to the drawing board because of these 100s of newly released technologies that are yet to be tested.
While competitors should always be considered and factored into investment decisions Brainchip is not selling chocolate bars it is selling the technology that will usher in the 4th Industrial Revolution and creating such technology is believe it or not something not just anyone can do it requires a significant level of genius
