BRN Discussion Ongoing

They do mention Akida

Thanks Pom.

The interesting parts for me:

1. They have AKIDA combined with a Nvidia accelerator platform.

2. They have it working for employee attendance identification purposes and are fine tuning it to achieve 100% accuracy.

Hi Slade
I believe you offered someone a new phone if they pulled theirs apart and found AKIDA. What about a new Skoda if they find AKIDA?

I’m positive it’s been discussed before but Ipsolon is one of BlueHalo companies who would definitely be interested in our tech given their offerings and tech development:

I remember their line of:

“We develop the tools to win the next war, so there is no next war.”

We’ll have to watch the financials for them as I don’t expect a disclosure from them!

RUMOR: Switch successor "likely to include" a custom Nvidia chip

With a possible release this year

Rumors of a new Nintendo console and its potential features continue to emerge. The latest comes from Reuters, and it has to do with a new business unit being run by GPU manufacturer Nvidia. Nvidia’s new unit will apparently be focused on “designing bespoke chips for cloud computing firms and others, including advanced artificial intelligence (AI) processors”.

While the Reuters’ article focuses mainly on the AI applications of such a chip, a quote from the end will be of interest to Nintendo fans:

Nintendo’s current Switch handheld console already includes Nvidia’s Tegra X1 chip. A new version of the Switch console expected this year is likely to include a Nvidia custom design, one source said.
[Reuters]

The quote is pretty vague, and the source is unnamed, so it’s difficult to verify the validity of this statement. That said, it makes sense that Nintendo would stick with Nvidia for their follow-up to the Switch. Reuters reached out to Nintendo, but they declined to comment (to the surprise of no one).
Whether or not the Switch does include a bespoke Nvidia chip (or if it releases this year) is anyone’s guess. If recent rumors are to be believed, we may find out for sure sooner, rather than later. You can read Reuters’ full report for more info and speculation on Nvidia’s new projects.

Our next catalyst? Tape-out Akida 2.0

I hope that I am not showing here that I missed last developments. In case I am right, this news dropping out of nowhere could be a timely announcement.

Hard to find a Skoda ( in Aussie ) I would imagine Slade.

However, I'm hoping that there might be a couple of owners of an ( AsKIDA " Akida 2000 " ) before tooo long, I have my fingies crossed, for that eventuality. Would you settle for one of those instead ?

Akida Ballista >>>>> Ah - AsKIDA, we needya, - IMO <<<<<

Interesting that this involves some of our TCS friends.

What is odd is that it concerns spike rate coding, which Simon Thorpe largely debunked on the way to developing rank coding, which Akida's BRN licensed as its secret sauce.

I don't know what information they believe they can retrieve from the spike rate.

All these wishes I am less ambitious.

I will be satisfied if ARM licenses anyone of its many chips with an AKIDA Ai extension to just seven of its major global customers such as:
Apple, Nvidia, Google , Microsoft , Amazon , Samsung and Intel. 😎

PS: The known existing relationships are just the filing in the ARM commercialisation Victoria sponge cake like cream, strawberries and icing sugar.

Hi FF... do you think it's possible that ARM move with the times and buy our IP to pass on to any of thier customers that want the AI Extension???

Hi Chris,

The point of being in ARM's ecosystem is that they can offer Akida for applications that need NNs, but it is unlikely that ARM will offer a processor with Akida built in unless the customer requests it. After all, our business model is based on the ARM model of IP licensing, so it will be up to the customer to decide whether ARM's Ethos or Helium will meet their needs, or whether they need a full strength SNN.

I don't know if there is a discount on the ARM IP if the customer rejects Ethos and opts for Akida.
