Remember all the jiggery pokery during the trading session and then the massive "adjustments" made after market on 30 Nov?
I recall thinking it was one of Esq's witching days but afterwards revealed had been transferred from MSCI small caps to MSCI mini caps or some such similar Hokery pokery. Over 50 mill traded that could be seen and the share price held rigidly in place during the later stage of the day.
Similar games played with Imugene, AGY, 4DS on the day.
It's just the ASX casino and the BEOT doing their thang!

A reduction of 3.48% to 1.47% between 30/11 and 01/12.... at least 40M shares would have been covered on the 30th, mostly likely all of it during the big CSPA trade that day. You can't cover that much in one day... especially during the ~10 minute window of CSPA... unless you know of some other large entity who is willing to sell into it.

16 Nov shorts dropped 15m, trades 15.6m.

They may have borrowed more stock on a new contract and use the borrowed stock to return back existing shorts circumventing the market? This would give them more stock to short in the future before they have to return those. It would still leave them exposed however to any sudden SP increases.
