Hi FF,Hi @Steve10
I have read as much as I can find about royalties in the semiconductor space including Intel submissions to an Australian Parliamentary Select Committee and think this extract from the Pitt Street Research report is as good as any. Royalties are basically what you can get and what people will pay:
“Royalties: We believe the most lucrative future revenue stream for the company will be royalties paid by customers for each product they sell that includes Akida IP. These royalties are usually a percentage of the customer’s revenue from sales and typically range from 2% to 15%, again depending on the intended application areas, the amount of IP used and expected production volumes. Notably, royalty percentages also depend on the uniqueness of the IP that is being licensed. As the specifications and features of Akida are quite unique vs. other technologies, including Intel’s Loihi and IBM’s TrueNorth, this may help the company charge higher-than-average royalty percentages for Akida.
Other royalty revenue models simply use a fixed dollar amount per chip sold. This is a preferred model for many high-volume production companies, including cell phone manufacturers”
So with AKD1000 being described by MegaChip as Science Fiction and AKIDA 2nd gen being labeled mind boggling science fiction one thing is for certain Royalties will not be at the bottom of to 2% to 15% range.

At the beginning of the month I queried the absence of VVDN from the Brainchip website given the announced demonstrations at CES and received this reply:Hi @DingoBorat
I think it was you who raised the absence of TEKSUN from the banner on the home page of the Brainchip webpage well just checked now and TEKSUN is there now with Prophesee, Renesas, Valeo, NASA, MegaChips, NVISO, EMOTION3D, Edge Impulse, Ai LABS, SiFive, Mercedes Benz, ARM and INTEL.
All these ducks have come back.

Hi FF,
In an interview with stocks down under Sean explains Brainchip's model for royalties as a factor not as a percentage. He explains this at the 12 minute mark in the video below.

Even if they have not signed it would be interesting to hear what they have to say on 28 March, 2023:At the beginning of the month I queried the absence of VVDN from the Brainchip website given the announced demonstrations at CES and received this reply:

According to Nandan Nayampally, our CMO, VVDN are not yet an official signed technology partner.
No doubt they will be added when they sign up.

So it seems that to make it onto the website they need to sign something before that will happen.
I assume therefore that in accordance with that old saying 'what's good for the goose, is good for the gander" this rule would be evenly applied across all partner engagements.

Yes. I have spent a little time today looking at some older Brainchip presentations and videos. It is impressive to see how far the company has come and the flexibility that they have demonstrated. I also think that they might end up being pretty accurate with there timelines regarding commercialisation and royalties.Sean also said that Brainchip was an IP only company and now for special situations they will manufacture a chip. Flexibility is essential in any business enterprise.

Great news, and may I say, our company does what it does best, and that's listen, acknowledge and remedy any issues as quick as possible, including making statements when not being legally compromised, does that make sense ? I think so.Hi @DingoBorat

Could it be the multi million dollar answer we all crave???Hi FF
The continued absence of Socionext from that list is curious.
What is happening behind the scenes with them I wonder.
I will visit the shop next week! I will be for a Business trip there! Unfortunately, the cherry blossoms season was very early this year!I was in a six seat coffee shop in Japan where we were seated up a staircase behind some cardboard boxes. The owner had the laptop balanced on a heater and everyone was watching the baseball. They were a very happy crew I can tell you!
"COFFEEman good" is the name of the coffee place in Aomori. Good latte lol....
Agree, returns are greater buying the dips, hence smart money wins.FYI - smart money buying the dip. It's the big funds.

When dumb money buying peaks the market peaks & vice versa.

Same here. I guess they most likely wait for the next abysmal financial results as there's no indicator for a sudden upwards change in share price.I wonder the sp is so low, but accumulated short volume doesn't decrease. What price are those shorters waiting for? It look like they are not hurry to realise profit at current price.
There's never a mention of AKIDA - please drop the NDA's so we can get an actual visual of the iceberg before we run into itNot a bad little read about all the players in the infotainment systems market.
No mention of Brainchip but interesting none the less.

Even then, most of them won't realize their gains, I' suppose. Furthermore, does the lack of ip licensing support their strategy.
Can't wait for the day when this stock converts from the meme stock that it is right now, to a respected investment in the broader eyes.
I don't know about you guys, but I'd finally be able to close the chapter with everyone that doesn't take my belief in the company seriously.
The days of constantly explaining when asked why this is a good investment would finally be over.
But It'll take some more time...
