I have been in a stoush with The Dean over at Hotcrapper because I am sick and tired over the manipulation of thought over there. It isn't just him/her but many others pushing and breaking boundaries of respect and decency. Right now I am happy to stir the pot and have little regard for the HC moderators and their biased agendas.
Perhaps as retribution for the mods over there I will publish here the posts I got modded for.
...
Probably something you've heard others say many times over, but the best thing to do is ignore them (I speak of two individuals in particular). It is odd when you see the occasional post out of context when someone has decided to feed the troll, but if more and more people would stop replying and either; a) ignore the user with the means provided so that one doesn't see their posts; or b) having the restraint to not respond to their posts, then improvement will come.

Eventually, the solo conversation and lack of reaction will either get them to stop out of complete boredom or completely expose their ulterior motives. This individual tends to write silly, cryptic messages; however, if you look at some of their posts on the other stock forums, you'll see the clarity that exposes the obvious trolling they do.

Unfortunately, I've been unable to post on HC, which is good. A proper editor is not displayed, and the "Post" button never works but throws JavaScript errors. It doesn't matter what computer, OS, or browser is used, I cannot post replies. All inquiries to support resort to the same "have you tried clearing your cache or deleting your browser history?" However, I think other machinations behind the scenes contribute to my inability to post.

It's a shame though as the cleverly titled thread "Competitive Landscape" which seems mainly designed to spread fear, uncertainty, and doom, without any substance provided to compare and contrast competitors has inspired me to want to find images of beautiful landscapes and post them.

Hi FF,
Assuming that's true, does that mean Brainchip will need to get into licensing agreement?(and if yes, does it have to be announced to the market?) How would the fee flow through to Brainchip?
The better question is:

“Does some or all of the customer licence fees paid via MegaChips and announced in the half yearly report emanate from SiFive and or Google?”

The answer: “I wish I knew.”

My opinion only DYOR

It was the same for me, when I looked for cleaning robots, like this one:

"Phantas is able to clean along the edges 0cm-close." and "powerful edge cleaning capacity"

SoftBank looks to form a 'strategic alliance' between Arm and Samsung

Strategy to catch up with TSMC.

SoftBank Group founder and CEO Masayoshi Son said on Thursday he plans to meet with Samsung Electronics to discuss a potential "strategic alliance" between the South Korean tech giant and chip designer Arm.

The billionaire will make his first visit to Seoul in three years. "I'd like to talk with Samsung about a strategic alliance with Arm," Son said in a statement.

The statement follows remarks by Samsung's Vice Chairman Jay Y Lee, who was quoted as saying by newswire News1 that Son "may make a proposal" on a visit expected next month. Samsung declined to comment on the report.

SoftBank acquired Arm, whose technology powers Apple's iPhone and nearly all other smartphones, in 2016 for $49 billion.

A subsequent proposed deal to sell Arm to Nvidia aroused industry opposition and foundered on regulatory hurdles, prompting SoftBank to outline plans for a US listing of the Cambridge-based firm.

The visit comes amid speculation over the potential formation of an industry consortium to invest in Arm and ensure its neutrality.

"There needs to be someone in the middle mediating to bring various companies together into a consortium, and Son may be trying to play such a role," said Lee Min-hee, an analyst at BNK Investment & Securities.

"A potential proposal could be that companies interested in owning a part of Arm can enter in a pre-IPO placement at a lower price ahead of an IPO next year," he added.

Monetising Arm has become a primary preoccupation for executives at tech conglomerate SoftBank, which has booked a massive loss at its Vision Fund investment arm and sold down its stake in Alibaba Group Holding to raise cash.

Efforts to list the chip designer, however, come amid a dramatic decline in dealmaking with markets volatile.

The Philadelphia SE Semiconductor Index is down by around a third for the year to date.

An alliance with Arm could be a strategic fit for Samsung as the market leader in memory chips invests heavily to try to catch up with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co in logic chips.

The South Korean conglomerate is still seen as hampered by technical limitations in original technology for non-memory chips such as application processor architecture, which Arm specialises in.

Other possible Arm suitors include Intel, whose Chief Executive Pat Gelsinger in February expressed interest in joining a consortium to buy the chip designer.

Samsung rival SK Hynix has also expressed interest in Arm, according to Yonhap news agency.

It quoted Vice Chairman Park Jung-ho as saying in March that the chipmaker was considering forming a consortium to buy Arm. The company said at the time that the comment did not refer to a specific plan.

Qualcomm, which has also been cited as a potential investor, is being sued by Arm, which accuses it of breaching license agreements and trademark infringement.

The discord could cast a shadow over an Arm listing, Redex Research analyst Kirk Boodry wrote in a note to clients.

"Arm probably needs all its customers onside to command a premium valuation," he said.

I hope that is true!!!

It certainly does appear that MegaChips have been working on Cortex-M.

Came across this article from February. Is it possible Intel is using us through the Sifive intelligence IP??

SiFive Partners with Intel to Innovate High-Performance RISC-V Platforms

February 7, 2022

SAN MATEO, Calif., Feb. 7, 2022 — SiFive, Inc., the founder and leader of RISC-V computing, today announced the company will support Intel Foundry Services (IFS) innovation fund’s goal to build innovative new RISC-V computing platforms optimized for Intel process technology. The $1B Intel fund will support the creation of disruptive technologies to address modern computing challenges, with the Intel-SiFive collaboration aiming to extend the RISC-V ecosystem. Compute blocks in future silicon chips, optimized for specific classes of workloads, require a vibrant market of semiconductor IP that is further enabled by SiFive’s leading RISC-V processor IP optimized and available to customers of IFS. The open nature of the RISC-V instruction set architecture creates freedom to innovate, with specifications and extensions developed by expert contributors from leaders in the semiconductor industry, research institutions, and academia.

I hope we get a some sort of an update on how we are progressing/ whether we are getting traction as a result of forming a partnerships / joining ecosystems (ARM, SiFive, Edge Impulse).

Below presentation by sr Director at Qualcomm on "Enabling on-device learning at scale" sounds like Akida inside :)

Not mentioned by any analyst yet but if I was a company like Apple after the last three years where silicon chips were in short supply I would be looking to open up my supply chain so I was less reliant on one source.

Intel Foundries announcing its adoption of SFive’s full IP range gives more options in the face of ongoing and new supply chain issues and brings production onshore for US companies.

THE LIKE by Brainchip’s Nikunj Kotecha becomes more significant if he was already aware of the Intel Foundries SiFive announcement and that AKIDA IP was part of this deal.

Then again he might have been chosen to throw a red herring to TSEx by Rob Telson. 🤡

We have been told that Akida is suitable to the Data Centre. Well. A little lurking on LinkedIn tells me that our 2 Sales execs like the work happening in that space.

A search of both companies tells me Marvell and Groq are in bed together. I think there is something brewing in this connection.

Haven’t we been told 64 Akida chips could be connected? Maybe a guru could help on this point.

Hi TUA
If I go back to the AGM in 2019 Peter van der Made stated that the then AKD1000 had the ability to connect up to 1024 chips.

He said that 100 AKD1000 chips could do all the compute for an autonomous vehicle and that number would also cover redundancy.

In early 2020 the then CEO Mr. Dinardo stated that they had finalised the design for AKD1000 going to fab and it would have the ability to connect up to 64 chips. He stated that they settled on 64 as they could not envisage at that point any use case which would require a greater number but it could be customised to allow up to the 1024 Peter van der Made spoke about.

Now all these comments were made when Brainchip was still a chip and IP vendor. Now as an IP vendor every customer can have a number of their choosing it just comes down to cost.

Hi FF and team, in line with my 'prove it' nature, can anyone lead me to a confirmation that SiFive has Akida embedded in it's Risk-V product? It will calm my nerves.
Thank you.

Thank you.
“Chris Jones, vice president of products at SiFive, said: “Employing Akida, BrainChip’s specialised, differentiated AI engine, with high-performance RISC-V processors such as the SiFive Intelligence Series is a natural choice for companies looking to seamlessly integrate an optimised processor to dedicated ML accelerators that are a must for the demanding requirements of edge AI computing.”

Then go to SiFive’s website and read that Brainchip is a partner for Ai and then look at SiFive’s Intelligence Series write up.
