AKIDA also works with the cloud, don't understand why everyone always speculates on no cloud. It's the perfect security system. Autonomous driving . Cloud fails in the tunnel, disruption, etc. Akida drives on.
That is clear to us. I was specifically concerned here only with this one case of surveillance or recognition of faces and the very strict German data protection. With autonomous driving, the system has to connect to the server from time to time to update. No contradiction, much more specific to surveillance in this country. Here, not even demonstrations are allowed to be recorded, at least that's the case for me and the surveillance cameras on the street at hot spots. If an officer is on site and loads the data locally or manually, then that can be a solution to very many problems in this country. I also think of airports and wanted criminals. You know how it works with data protection in Germany, I just assume.

___
Can you still remember the fingerprint on the ID Card!? There will never be a central (private! for auto OEMs) cloud-based collection of facial data here (difference cloud to server). That's where Akida can fill that gap. Therefore, from my point of view, an Akida-based facial recognition in vehicles is a no brainer and universal solution for this specific case. Who else can do that?

____
Heck, I keep thinking that we need Qualcomm and e.g. facial recognition on phones and that worldwide, all data compliant.

Mt09............insulting someone who has replied to your post is exactly what i would expect from a "fence sitter" and lazy investor.

I would suggest you take your own advice since you advocate doing nothing & take that bex yourself and return to the lounge you seem so comfortable to be on. You won't be missed by anyone.

Yak52.
I posted a factual reply the company has no legal responsibility to update ..LEGAL.. LEGAL (just in case you missed the first time). I’m not talking about warm and fluffy moral obligations like you seem to be caught on, with hyper emotional posting and sooking about shifters every second day. Maybe offload a few share if you can’t stand the heat..

I’m more than confident in where brainchip is headed eventually..

While we wait for secondary confirmation of Citicorp Nominees Pty Ltd increasing their holding to 173,844,961 , as per the register dated 11/07/22 , I thought I would also provide an update on the top 1000 make up . Also , in my opinion the Citicorp holdings is not about any takeover activity , but rather more interest from multiple international ownership in BRN .

To be in the top X , you need to be holding X or greater :

30 - 3,200,000
40 - 2,317,156

Good luck to all holders , big or small .
Interesting that your list started some comment-friction over: Who Cares the Most?
So who does care the most? In no particular order.

A) Largest percentage of net worth.
B) Rocket with $20k or $30k, and is a spiking neural nut (sorry, could not resist!).
C) Warren Buffet's 1% share of BRN (I guess he can hide it).
D) A top 20 share holder.
E) A dad with $10k that he put into his daughter's college fund, as she really wants to be a doctor.
F) Insert your particular situation here!

I would submit that it is not the number of shares, but rather the potential value to that particular person's circumstances.

Imaging & Machine Vision Europe, Oct 2021

'Prophesee’s first Vision show was in 2016...

Since then a lot has changed: a few weeks ago Sony announced neuromorphic sensors based on the firm’s technology, and earlier in the year Prophesee won investment from the Chinese AI venture capital firm, Sinovation – the first European company to do so – along with Xiaomi as a corporate investor, showing the technology has scope for use in mobile devices.

Prophesee’s CEO, Luca Verre, explained that machine vision remains an important market segment for the company. Prophesee began by targeting machine vision for the first three iterations of its sensor, in part because the form factor of those sensors was too large for consumer devices but a fit for machine vision. Now, its fourth generation sensor, which has just been released with Sony, has an optical form factor that can fit easily into consumer devices, even mobile, Verre said.'

Sony, through Prophesee, should know all about Akida...

It's ridiculous but I guess with all the supply chain issues, the used car market has become very profitable and they want a way to continue to make money after the initial sale. It's kind of cool IF it is cheaper to purchase without it. I have heated seats that I have never used so would be happy to have paid $3k less and I never would have paid for the subscription.

Move on, nothing to see.
I see Intellisense have a new solicitation proposal with NASA.

Unlike the NECR proposal which is now Ph II, this one doesn't specify Akida however I've highlighted a red section and given their experience with us so far you would have to expect the same path...no?

Proposal Information

Proposal Number:
22-1- H6.22-1780

Subtopic Title:
Deep Neural Net and Neuromorphic Processors for In-Space Autonomy and Cognition

Proposal Title:
Adaptive Deep Onboard Reinforcement Bidirectional Learning System

. . .

(310) 320-1827
Technical Abstract (Limit 2000 characters, approximately 200 words):
NASA is seeking innovative neuromorphic processing methods and tools to enable autonomous space operations on platforms constrained by size, weight, and power (SWaP). To address this need, Intellisense Systems, Inc. (Intellisense) proposes to develop an Adaptive Deep Onboard Reinforcement Bidirectional Learning (ADORBL) processor based on neuromorphic processing and its efficient implementation on neuromorphic computing hardware. Neuromorphic processors are a key enabler to the cognitive radio and image processing system architecture, which play a larger role in mitigating complexity and reducing autonomous operations costs as communications and control become complex. ADORBL is a low-SWaP neuromorphic processing solution consisting of multispectral and/or synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data acquisition and an onboard computer running the neural network algorithms. The implementation of artificial intelligence and machine learning enables ADORBL to choose processing configurations and adjust for impairments and failures. Due to its speed, energy efficiency, and higher performance for processing, ADORBL processes raw images, finds potential targets and thus allows for autonomous missions and can easily integrate into SWaP-constrained platforms in spacecraft and robotics to support NASA missions to establish a lunar presence, to visit asteroids, and to extend human reach to Mars. In Phase I, we will develop the CONOPS and key algorithms, integrate a Phase I ADORBL processing prototype to demonstrate its feasibility, and develop a Phase II plan with a path forward. In Phase II, ADORBL will be further matured, implemented on available commercial neuromorphic computing chips, and then integrated into a Phase II working prototype along with documentation and tools necessary for NASA to use the product and modify and use the software. The Phase II prototype will be tested and delivered to NASA to demonstrate for applications to CubeSat, SmallSat, and rover flights.

Move on, nothing to see.

Seems like they are trying to solve, with a tiny CNN, reduced memory, and hence extremely specialised piece of equipment, what has already been solved with sparcity and the Neuromorphic SNN of Akida.

I don‘t think this tiny solution has tiny power usage (I accept that they propose 76.3mW which is great) or learning ability. It seems to be a single purpose device. I.e. you program it for a specific task, and that task only.

But it is a step in the right direction.

It is actually great to see people spending time, effort and money trying to solve what Akida has already achieved. It is only a matter of time before their bean counters step in and say “stop trying to re-invent the wheel”.

And in this device I see yet another use for WeeBit’s ReRAM. Maybe I should drop the company an email.

Not understanding how it would be cheaper you would still have the system installed in the vehicle. I need to do a bit more research.
@equanimous now for some hot ass that is a bargain.

@uiux already has a thread mentioning the above.
But always good to post as some might not have seen it or just forgotten it because the sheer amount of info this group comes up with.
