BRN Discussion Ongoing

I don’t think anyone here will disagree with this post FF, the question is though, where is the next commercial agreement? We are more than 18 months into our commercialisation phase now and have had two signed contracts, the most recent was almost eight months ago.
We can all see the potential here, that why we’re invested, but the SP does remain important. The reason it’s getting manipulated by bots is because of this lack of formal progression. If new customers were jumping on the buss every month, would the bots be selling or buying? My guess is the latter.
You can argue that Renesas and MegaChips are selling on our behalf, and that is possible, but without revenue how are we as shareholders or potential investors make informed investment decisions?
I think this company will do great things, and will one day see my family in a financial position the previous generation would have thought to be impossible, but nobody can argue that the current financial status from a SH perspective is grim. Shorts higher then they’ve ever been, SP a third of what it was six months ago, with new new customers announced or revenue in sight… Can you blame the market opportunists for playing the game?
Just an off the cuff thought, but the percentage of shares available to short, would be directly proportional to the percentage of shares owned, by institutional investors.

So it makes sense, that as their positions grow, the shares available for borrowing, would also grow.

They are not increasing their positions to lose and are more than likely, very long on Brainchip.

Are their algorithms, working to accumulate, or distribute BRN shares?

Many shorters, will end up being fodder, but they will have served their purpose.

Shorting of BRN, will never end, no matter how successful we are.

It will just be done at higher and higher price levels.

The current 90 million odd shorts, means at least that, probably more, shares in institutional hands.

The lament of "no shares" available to short, by shorters in the past, was before ASX300 and ASX200 inclusion.

Institutions, could care less, if the current batch of shorters get deep fried to a burnt crisp on news.
The shares will be re lent out to new shorters, at a higher price.

Company’s like Tesla, Amazon, Google, Samsung, Apple etc, are still being shorted and so will we, when we reach their levels.

Enjoy the roller coaster 😉

I just don’t get your word grim. If you thought things were grim you would sell and move on as grim is a situation that is ‘very worrying and without hope.’

You are suggesting those who are manipulating the price are justified because the company has not made announcements.

This argument makes as much sense as saying bank robbers are justified as banks keep money on hand.

Your post is quite frankly from my perspective invalid. I have said the common denominator across Brainchip and my other manipulated investments is that they are all pre-revenue.

The CEO Sean Hehir has said that the customers they engage with are reluctant to expose themselves and that income will be the best indicator of Brainchip’s progress and has said he looks to be judged on progress and not effort by next years AGM which is May, 2023.

He has not said announcements are impossible but your desire for a constant flow of IP announcements is unrealistic in view of what he and Brainchip has said and is saying.

My opinion only DYOR

Recent podcast by CEO of Merc.

Not had chance to listen but skimmed the transcript.

That and the podcast below.

Snipped a couple of bits and whilst mentions MBUX & Hey Mercedes he does also speak about some tech from the EQXX not being integrated for a couple of years....apparently.

How India is shaping Mercedes-Benz’s most cutting-edge innovations

The Stuttgart, Germany-based carmaker Mercedes-Benz‘s India research center is the company’s largest research & development (R&D) facility outside its home country. The Bengaluru-based facility, which draws from the best of India’s IT talent pool, is driving the bulk of technology development after over two decades of its establishment as a captive center. It is here that the majority of the company’s technology development for autonomous vehicles and connected cars occurs in collaboration with global teams.

Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India‘s (MBRDI’s) fingerprints are all over the company; It is an indispensable part of everything from infotainment systems to automated solutions and computer vision to the design and production elements of the ultra-premium vehicles.
“We spent our formative years as a student, learning from a company which already had 100 years of car-making history. Now, with the advent of digital, we’ve become the largest R&D hub globally, ”said Manu Saale, managing director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI), told Economic Times.

Saale attributed MBRDI’s emergence as a powerhouse of innovation to India’s growing talent pool. It employs some 9000 workers and is expected to hire 1000 more during the year.

MBRDI is in “hyper mode” to recruit people with digital skills, which Saale says is akin to hiring for an IT company. With the break-neck speed of innovation in the car industry, Saale expects high-throttle requirements to continue over the next few years.

Among MBRDI’s many contributions include its work on MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) which boasts of features like the interior assist — the complete AI software for which was developed at MBRDI. It was also instrumental in developing the ‘Hey Mercedes’ feature. The center is also closely involved in the development of the MB. OS (Mercedes-Benz Operating System) which is expected to be the core software platform for all its cars from 2024.

"Mercedes engineers worked with California-based artificial-intelligence developer BrainChip to create systems based on the company’s Akida hardware and software. Among other things, the technology makes the “Hey, Mercedes” voice control system in the EQXX five to ten times more efficient than conventional voice control"
Yes of course, use akida ip but I vaguely remember them wanting to fabricate their own soc with akida ip... but I could be wrong. Brain fog.

I think what you might be remembering is an article where Mercedes said they were looking to reduce the number of semiconductors and do this by producing their own custom designs.

As wild speculation only you might also, as I do, see coincidence in the fact that Peter van der Made in his presentation to the 2019 AGM said that AKD1000 technology could significantly reduce the number of processors required for sensors in an AV.

Just reconfirming what we all ready knew. 2024 is it and rules out the new MBUX currently being rolled out.

I've said this before. I've always suspected Mercedes wants to hit the market using Akida with a bang to wow like Apple unveiled the iPhone. They don't want to slow release bits and pieces.

I would imagine that many of these NDA’s, once Akida is embedded, proven and working well, will WANT to announce to the market just like Mercedes did. Look at the publicity they got. Amazing publicity for them, and therefore us. Other NDA’s may see further announcements by competitors as to Akida efficiencies and be forced to announce in a ‘me too’ way for fear of not being market leading.

At least I hope so.

For the golfers amongst us I’m playing Cruden Bay today.

Afternoon Dhm,

Agree with the above.

Good looking golf course, I'm Shaw you are having a great time.
Might have to slip a bottle of GlenDronach 50 year old into your golf bag, on the off chance we get a great ASX announcement.

One can never be to prepared.

Esq.

I think that BRN and WBT show similarities. They might even combine someway in the future.

Today I received a Q2 2022 update email from WBT . Sorry, I can't see a way to post a link to it without possibly risking my security, but I believe it would be accessible to anyone interested via a request to their website.

I liked the way it attempted to take me, as a shareholder, kind-off into its confidence, by explaining processes they have to go through to ultimately get their chips to market.

I think it would be interesting and educational for BRN to post a similar update.

When do you think then
I have my heart set on seeing revenue come in sometime in the next 6 months. If not, you will find me in the far North of Thailand, bald headed, wearing an orange robe, sitting in the lotus position upon a mountain top, chanting the BrainChip mantra as I fondle my Buddhist beads.
