AVZ Discussion 2022

Washington have taken far too light a hand with this diplomacy. Wish they woulda come in brandishing the stick, just big d(& flop it on the table and bring the misbehaving leaders to heel. This is what you have agreed to, this is the deadline, military support for the opposition of either side that breaks their word with Washington.

Essentially what Trump did to the Taliban in his first term, show them a picture of their house, we want those minerals boys, we will help you develop as a nation and elevate your people from poverty but require good relations between you. The good ole fashion American export, freedom.

Agreed. I remember hearing an anecdote from the early discussions where Rwanda started playing silly buggers and got up to walk out. Boulos (I think ?) gave them the smackdown and they fell in line...

Yea I mean the per tonnage valuation is arbitrary really. Its more of just a muck around exercise with interesting results.
It's certainly a lot of fun and always nice to quantity the value of our deposit. I just think it's important for readers to have realistic expectations. No one should be expecting anything over $10B from a western buyer or $12B from Zijin. Fuck Zijin.

Yes it was Massad Boulos and the incident completely changed my view on his appointment by Trump. I'd previously written it off as nepostic but after that I became convinced he's the right person for the job. We need more of that and I sincerely hope the Trump administration deliver a solid boot in the arse for these incompetent kleptocrats.

No, be nice and give him a good, firm hand shake.

My boss and our admin ladies went out for lunch today. I stayed back to finish some work and watched that Mallrats clip in a moment of distraction.

Meanwhile my boss ordered fish pie then got a call from a client wondering if he was attending a meeting he'd forgotten about. He had to rush off and didn't have time to wait for his lunch, so our admin ladies returned with it wrapped up to go.

One of them popped it in the fridge and remarked that now her hands smelt of fish pie. I recalled the Mallrats clip and immediately chuckled. She got embarrassed and told me to fuck off.

Not sure how to explain the situation without making it worse. True story.

US and Canada don't seem to be getting along, so I dont expect US DOW/DOE investment to light a fire there.... that said I still hold a lot of Canadian Lithium in the James Bay region but more speculative smaller market cap... I think its a rising tide lifts all boats situation + any positive news/drilling/milestones will really rocket those little players.

Hi again Sangster ☺️, a quick disclaimer that i am invested in PMT. Here's my thoughts. The PMT deposit is another monster like Manono. The defined resource already is significant but my expectation is that in the coming years it will grow to be one of the largest globally behind Manono.

The Canadian government is looking to supply Chinese supply chains as a result of tension with the US. But my opinion is that overtime tensions will settle and Canadian lithium will be used significantly in US supply chains.

Ive always thought that due to the projects quality its a likely acquisition target and to be honest thats why i have targeted it.

I am actually surprised one of the larger players hasn't taken it out while the commodity prices have been down.

Depending on where we get to with this cycle as has been mentioned by Skar, we might expect a rising tide to float all boats PMT would be a candidate here.

Something to consider thats always in the back of my mind is, how might a project like Manono effect the market in the mid to long term. Remember years ago talking about 10 t/pa and the like? Obviously this takes a while to happen. But many analysts don't even account for Manono in supply projections. And if theyre not accounting for that then what else arent they doing? In this scenario the cost of production is very important. As I mentioned though imo that isnt a problem for owning pmt right now, as it will eventually be acquired and will be a problem for a big fish to worry about. All very speculative and my opinion only.

Any idea when the 5% ICC verdict will land? Be some nice timing if it dropped now.

It will be recalled that arbitration proceedings ICC No. 27425/SP commenced by the Company against
Dathomir, seeking orders that it validly acquired a 5% shareholding in Dathcom, pursuant to a Share
Purchase Agreement executed in 2019 (SPA 2019) is pending, and whilst a hearing date has not yet
been set, it is expected to occur late 2025. The Company is confident that it will be successful in these
proceedings which will confirm that it validly acquired 5% of the Dathcom shares from Dathomir.

No further updates since this 2 July 2025 announcement afaik

Awesome, thanks Xerof. I knew it was close and I did check the list of cases posted a while back before asking!! I wouldn't be surprised if Congs/Zijin lawyers are fine tooth combing to see if they can kick that can down the road.

I'm hoping that if (when) the ICC establishes that the final 5% of Dathcom was legally acquired, and subsequently rules in favour of AVZ, the ASIC case against Nigel and Graeme will be dead in the water...unless ASIC can pull some last-minute dodgy rabbit out of a hat thing based on fucking moonbeams or fairy dust. Any further arguments that ASIC can conjure up will be rather esoteric.

Cheers
F

DRC-RWANDA| New date for signing of peace agreement

🔎 Reprogrammed several times, the ceremony may now be held on 21 November at The White House.

👉 Washington explains this postponement as being due to US President Donald Trump's busy schedule.

I hope President Trump's busy schedule included a one on one discussion with Fat Bastard about his family's embezzlement and the consequences of further obstruction to the peace process.

I don't know this guy at all. Don't know if he is reliable or not. Maybe I should not even share his post, but I hope what he is saying is true.
