The quality of content on HC is so low, after not posting for ages, I can go poop out a shit post with no real substance and get a top rated post. From the Crapper. Couldn't agree more.
GLTAH.
Great post Mute22.
IMO the ONLY reason we're still in this race (let's call it that) is because of the size of our asset. Nothing compares.
USA WILL NOT let this fall into Chinese hands. It may seem painfully slow, even nauseating at present, but can anyone see the US losing interest?
I certainly can't.
And point 6 AVZ and Kobold are working cooperatively with all stakeholders including the US Government, the DRC Government, and AVZ's current development partner.Something about the first point here (1) feels very deliberate. That was put as the first point for a reason, the highest priority and the geopolitical trigger point to get this deal done?
'KoBold and AVZ are advance the peace process by having reached consensus as to a commercial framework enabling the rapid development of the Manono deposit.'
The phrase 'advancing the peace process' implies to me KoBold playing a diplomatic role, potentially being involved in the peace discussions with Rwanda. As much as this is politicised, let's be real, a lot of this conflict is related to resource extraction. Therefor, is it reasonable to assume our deal is wrapped up in the peace negotiation?

Screw the extensions, this all started with extensions 3 years agoThe Loophole for the DRC is for Kobold to payout AVZ (appropriately Compensate ) and AVZ to drop legal proceedings . If any compensation comes from the North it will come from Zijin not the DRC . Kobold cannot get their hands on Roche Dure if AVZ are taking the DRC to the ICSID .If after many months the DRC are found guilty of screwing over AVZ ,then Kobold will either have to compensate AVZ or f--k off . Kobold already know this and have signed an MOU with AVZ .So come the 23rd we will either have a result or a suspension extension . IMO
I read it differently . Kobold is the new big dog in town . It's arrival on the scene demonstrates a confidence /support of a pathway to peace between DRC/Rwanda .Something about the first point here (1) feels very deliberate. That was put as the first point for a reason, the highest priority and the geopolitical trigger point to get this deal done?

"Kobold and AVZ would be honoured to support the announcement of agreement concerning peace and security in any way ."
There is no order of events in these statements . IMO
And which Australian mining company on the ASX has activities already in Rwanda?Something about the first point here (1) feels very deliberate. That was put as the first point for a reason, the highest priority and the geopolitical trigger point to get this deal done?

The question remains . Does the Kobold /AVZ deal being finalized hinge on the peace deal ? I don't think it does . IMO
AVZ have signed an MOU with Kobold and agreed to sell it's interest to them . Kobold were on site at Manono in August /Sept last year . This could not have happened without DRC permission . So I think they are a little more than a dog with no bite . IMOKobold aren't the new big dog in town. They are nothing but a marketing experiment at this point, all bark, no bite. They have no runs on the board, no signature projects, just a bunch of rich backers. They want this project to make them the big dog in town. If they don't come out on top then they will look right foolish.
Kobold want you to think this is a one horse race and they are our saviours, but Tim will tell if this is the case, or just a lot of hot air.
Was wondering why Qatar is involved in peace talks between US, Rwanda and DRC? Must be something in it for them??Qatar = $$$
