As far as we as SH know and are informed by the company, the DRC has zero intention to compensate AVZ for anything Manono, north or south.
The DRC has agreed with AVZ to put the ICSID proceedings on halt til 23/6/25.
The DRC is fully aware of that date, so is Kobold.
If Kobold can get away not compensating AVZ for anything, they will as far as I am concerned.
Therefore AVZ should push ahead with the ICSID proceedings after 23/6/25 without delay.
The Loophole for the DRC is for Kobold to payout AVZ (appropriately Compensate ) and AVZ to drop legal proceedings . If any compensation comes from the North it will come from Zijin not the DRC . Kobold cannot get their hands on Roche Dure if AVZ are taking the DRC to the ICSID .If after many months the DRC are found guilty of screwing over AVZ ,then Kobold will either have to compensate AVZ or f--k off . Kobold already know this and have signed an MOU with AVZ .So come the 23rd we will either have a result or a suspension extension . IMO

The only aspect of the ICSID case that Felix and the other DRC lowlife have to fear is the monetary penalty imposed on their country, not them personally. Exposure of their corrupt actions will not influence them in any way. They see a different reality to us in this space, it is the norm, they will not be embarrsed as they just see it as a way of doing business. They also don't give a flying f#ck if their country is asked to pay $US10 billion in penalties. Means little when you are sipping cocktails in a safe-haven on a sunny afternoon in some corruption friendly backwater.
To highlight this, Kobold have publicly stated they're aware of AVZ interest. They won't touch Manono without AVZ approval.

Also if Kobold compensate us for relinquishing legal proceedings, then we aren't selling Roche Dure, we are relinquishing our legal claim, as according to DRCs records we do not own Roche Dure. So we would therefore not be liable to pay DRC taxes.... Right?

KoBold will be buying AVZ’s rights. KoBold must hold our shares in Dathcom either directly or indirectly to get a ML under the DRC mining code. DRC tax may be avoided if waived by Felix or if we sell them AVZI.

Yes a waive by Felix of the DRC taxes was something I thought "the Nige" might request during the negotiation process
But yes also depending on the "structure" of any potential agreement a waive might not be required by FT as the DRC taxes may not necessarily be triggered
