Maybe Celestine is a nice guy and has just been having his strings pulled by a nefarious insidious player 🤷

You can tell when the anxiety levels are rising for the troll brigade as nothing more than drivel and non-sense increases in intensity with every post or thread....this is the 'sale of the century'.
- USA firmly in control - it's called minerals security
- DRC is happy to relinguising it - it's called national security
- AVZ is happy to sell it - it's called the 'Sale of the century'. IMO the price tag of $4aud will at that price undervalue the asset but nonetheless provide almighty 'buyout' for patient/smart money
- KoBold is happy to secure it - it's called 'capturing the monster that is Manono'...hahahaha

Whilst it is laughable that Celestin would be involved at all in any sort of audit or monitoring unit for corruption related to Congolese mineral resources, I note that although Celestin is listed as an expert, he is not responsible for the direction, supervision or coordination of this unit. To be fair, technically, he IS an expert on corruption with regard to Congolese mineral resources 😜. On a serious note though, it still would be possible for the unit to function with his input on specific historical information, if the President is serious about decreasing corruption to facilitate US investment. It all depends on the intention behind this unit and the individuals in charge of the direction/supervision/coordination.

I suspect that Felix put Celestin on the committee so that he does not turn against him. That is Felix is keeping his friends close, and keeping his enemies closer.

Are we misinterpreting celest8ns role?
This is a big group so I assume in the meetings they'll likely need lots of snacks to keep them going.
Nothing said CK was there for his mining expertise.

The 15 th and 16th were the days mentioned in the published timeline for the signing of the peace agreement between DRC and Rawanda followed immediately by the seperate minerals agreements individually for DRC and Rawanda . Hopefully this then triggers the AVZ/Kobold sale agreement and we have an announcement on or before Fri 20th. The 23 rd is the the day nominated for recommencement of ICSID.
Fingers crossed !

Industrials Regulatory News and Trends - June 3, 2025

" ... Peace deal negotiations between DRC and Rwanda. On May 21, President Trump announced that his Administration is close to successfully brokering a peace deal between the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Rwanda. The President said that his Senior Advisor for Africa, Massad Boulos, had been instrumental to the negotiations. In March, we reported that DRC President Felix Tshisekedi had written to the President offering the US access to DRC’s critical minerals in exchange for military help against Rwandan M23 rebels. In April, Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that the DRC and Rwanda had signed a pledge in Washington, DC to work toward a peace agreement. A peace deal brokered by the US could potentially give the US far greater access to DRC’s vast mineral wealth. The DRC is the world’s leading exporter of cobalt and a major exporter of coltan, copper, gold, tin, tungsten, and tantalum. Its untapped mineral wealth is estimated to be worth trillions of dollars. ..."
