Don’t disagree but was thinking it could be beneficial for AVZ shareholders if Kobold were to offer a complete TO they’d also have to make sure CATH are getting what they also think is fair value which would be very high given the political and strategic elements at play.
Yep, CATH are not our friends, they attempted to destroy the board and us shareholders, they sat there for months bullshitting to us all about coughing up the measley $240m for 24%, they can cry all they like about fair value or about not getting a piece of the final pie, but surely no-one here gives a shit about that unless it works in our interest. To be honest the ideal outcome to me would be to get our US$1.50 off Kobold while CATH and Cominiere get not a fucking thing. That would almost be justice served for those dogs, but real justice would be to see them and Zijin banned from Manono and put behind bars. Their all snakes and Im sure Nige is now wise enough to use them accordingly

Whilst it is laughable that Celestin would be involved at all in any sort of audit or monitoring unit for corruption related to Congolese mineral resources, I note that although Celestin is listed as an expert, he is not responsible for the direction, supervision or coordination of this unit. To be fair, technically, he IS an expert on corruption with regard to Congolese mineral resources

On a serious note though, it still would be possible for the unit to function with his input on specific historical information, if the President is serious about decreasing corruption to facilitate US investment. It all depends on the intention behind this unit and the individuals in charge of the direction/supervision/coordination.
