Apologies to all members.

I misinterpreted KoBold's $US3b valuation as being Kobold's valuation of AVZ's Manono assets, which in turn stuffed up the calcs.

I have deleted the misinterpreted posting, and said five Hail Marys and two Our Fathers and will never drink again.

Cheers

This fucking shits me like - you heroes - nothing set in stone yet and AVZ would have done this 3 years ago if we weren’t completely fkn shafted. Still I’m happy to see Kobold committing to good outcomes for the DRC people - it’s their resource after all and they should reap the rewards.

The government had accused AVZ of concealing data about mineral exploration, charges AVZ denied. And Zijin reportedly committed $70 million in aid to the region, but $30 million apparently disappeared.

o_O🙃
"KoBold Metals, a U.S.-based mining exploration company, has announced a deal to buy Australian AVZ Minerals Ltd.’s stake in a contested lithium project in the Democratic Republic of Congo."

So what's the deal FFS !!!! The same article repeated over and over again by, late to the party, lazy f--king journo's .

It is very simple, at this stage negotiations are confidential and only the parties involved know.

Zijin, Cominière and Dathomir would love to know what the deal is and are trying to throw sand in the gearbox.

The only red flags of corruption were the deals these groups made and continue to try to make, but they don't know, so as usual try to create a screen of misinformation ala Chinese m.o. internationally.

CKK can't feel very comfy and is trying to put his ear to the ground, he better be careful that Felix doesn't drive over his head with a big army truck, while he has it on the ground trying to find out when he has to make his run to save his skin.

However if the Manono deal has to be kept under wraps till 23 - 6, the more people get involved, especially the DRC mob it is likely information will leak out.

What and how the deal will be composed, time will tell.
Will it only be Kobold, or a combination of companies?
Nobody knows, however taking in account the size of Kobold and the amount of money involved, it could well be, to spread the risk of capital and get more brain power, a consortium of companies.

Time will tell.
Taking in account the level of trolling on all media platforms, including TSE, one would say the news is not far off.
I think until Felix gets the final Manono deal for sign off, all will be under wraps.

Fuck Zijin.

⚠️ USA – DR CONGO DEAL: THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTIONS, THE AMERICANS ARE DETERMINED, KAGAME HAS NO MORE CARDS IN HAND While Congolese opinion is often confused by the multitude of information circulating around the strategic partnership between the Democratic Republic of Congo and the United States, it is time to provide clarity.Last Tuesday, a crucial meeting was held between high-level American representatives and Congolese stakeholders eager to understand the contours of this partnership. Present were: the American lobbyist @batten_von , president of the Africa-US Business Council, a senior representative of Kobold Metals, as well as a member of the American Congress. Here are the answers to the main questions raised during this meeting:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️--------------1. How can we summarize the deal between the DRC and the USA? Answer: This partnership is based on four major pillars: Political stability Safety and security Strategic infrastructures Total transparency in governance⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️--------------2. Is Rwanda involved in this partnership? Answer: No. The deal is exclusively between the DRC and the United States. Rwanda is only affected by separate peace agreements. Any Rwandan involvement would be governed by those agreements only, and would not affect the investments and commitments of the US-DRC deal.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️--------------3. What is the United States doing to prevent corruption in this partnership? Answer: President Tshisekedi @fatshi13 acknowledged in a video conference the challenges linked to corruption and expressed his commitment to putting an end to it.This has affected many members of the US Congress. Strict mechanisms have been put in place to ensure that no politician, not even a member of the presidential family, can interfere in the management of funds and projects. Transparency is non-negotiable.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️--------------4. Will Congolese minerals be exported raw? Answer: No. President Tshisekedi proposed that minerals be refined locally to create jobs and strengthen the national economy. This proposal was accepted: refineries will be installed in the DRC.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️--------------5. What does the United States plan to do to strengthen security? Answer: The United States is considering establishing strategic bases in the DRC.However, no American troops will be deployed. Only instructors, specialists, and military advisors will accompany the Congolese army to strengthen its capabilities.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️--------------6. What will happen if Kagame signs peace and later retracts? Answer: Peace is the essential condition for the implementation of the deal. If Kagame violates the agreements after signing, he would face severe and immediate sanctions, on a scale never before seen against Rwanda. Within 24 hours, his regime would be paralyzed.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️--------------7. What do you think of Joseph Kabila's return to Goma? Answer: This act raises serious concerns. Kabila's movements are being closely monitored. His dossier will be submitted to the US Congress next week. The United States remains vigilant against any attempts at internal destabilization. But for the USA, his trip to GOMA is an internal problem⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️--------------8. Is this partnership sustainable? Answer: This is a long-term partnership, designed to benefit future generations – both in the DRC and in the United States.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️--------------9. Can this partnership be described as the “deal of the century”? Answer: Yes. It will mobilize billions of dollars of investment in infrastructure, security, and technology. The U.S. Exim Bank is ready to guarantee credit for American companies wishing to invest in the DRC.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️--------------10. What place for Congolese in American companies? Answer: 90% of employees of American companies established in the DRC will be Congolese, as was the case in Zambia. Only 10% will be American personnel.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️--------------11. Will Congolese people be able to buy shares in these companies? Answer: Yes. Shares will be reserved and sold exclusively to Congolese people. In addition, American companies will collaborate with Congolese companies registered with the ARSP for all third-party services.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️--------------IN CONCLUSIONThe DRC needs the United States, just as the United States needs the Congo. This partnership represents a strategic turning point for Central Africa. Kagame no longer has any room for maneuver. The new global dynamic places Congo at the center of geopolitical and economic issues

This is exactly why we need non-china supply chains established ASAP!!!! US know it, rest of the world starting to wake up to it too. China can manipulate the price way way down by supporting local China production, that would otherwise be uneconomical. Then cut/bring back supply as needed to ensure the cost stay low and do not represent the real underlying value, All the while acquiring any emerging global supply at a super low price point as any competition has been forced out of the market. Thats what the agenda of the security for minerals deal is about and why the massive cashed up whales like bezos, gates, oil sheiks, etc are being tapped. They have to stop Chinas ability to control critical minerals and consequently any downstream supply chains.

Get supply chains and manufacturing back to US and Tarif the heck out of China Trump!!!

@Azzler frustrating that posts are selectively removed, yes. But leaving TSE is exactly what our combatants likely want. For the last couple years TSE has been a genuine hub for constructive input and information sharing, as opposed to the HC cesspit. Unless there's a suggested private group outside of both that someone can suggest, leaving TSE further divides us from those with regular and great input that has kept sh together for so long now.

I can deal with a couple months of more bullshit until we (fingers crossed) see a resolution, and then gtfo this place for good.
