Conclusion

This case once again illustrates the complexities of international finance and the difficulties of tracking down hidden fortunes. While Switzerland has taken measures to block part of the Tshisekedi family's assets, the question remains: where is the rest of this colossal fortune ? The answer may well lie in the sands of the Qatari and Emirati desert, where financial opacity remains king.

Maybe you missed the conclusion..!!!

It seems that the source of this article is VAC radio international (https://www.vacradiointernational.com), which has cooperative relationships with major Chinese and international media organizations, including China Central Television (CCTV), Xinhua News Agency, China News Service, and is an Australian partner of China Radio International (CRI). Vac radio is also a member of the Global Chinese TV Broadcasting Association.

With that in mind, make what you like of the article.

However, in the absence of authentication, it may be just fake news.

While there is certainly a good case for freezing King Felix-the-corrupt's accounts, which are likely stuffed with money looted from the DRC, it may be just wishful thinking at this stage.

Cheers

Yeah and I love how this Haldoken character just jumps on it like it's cannon. And the rhetoric! My god. Maybe English is not their first language but you gotta do better than that. It's like teenager got hold of mum's X account.

Seems to me that China is now trying to throw FT under the bus, due to his willingness to work with USA

And a shout out to that cretin Tolate - thanks for your concern for my welfare. If you must know I’m on holiday in Aix en Provence then back to Dubai before heading home

I trust your rat swallowing night class is going well. I’m told not having a gag reflex will make it a little easier

DRC: Switzerland's largest bank freezes Tshisekedi family funds estimated at $8 billion, but experts suspect part of the fortune is in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates

Interesting analogy that only the tip of the iceberg is frozen.
Don't forget 90% of icebergs are below the surface of the sea, you only see the tip.

One would say the Chinese's abaci have been making overtime to keep up with the money transfers to said accounts.

Felix should go and read up on what Allende had to do and what happened to his Palace 11/9/73.
It was easy no court case required afterwards, a pretty clean event.
Did Allende really commit suicide, or was he helped? Who knows, or who cares.

Another important 9-11 event.
General Augusto Pinochet, commander-in-chief of the Chilean Army led the coup.

It would be easier for the kleptocratic ruling crew in the DRC to throw Felix under the bus to protect their ill gotten wealth.

It is clear why China is highly likely behind this.
What China conveniently forgets, if Felix was able to accumulate this massive wealth, somebody had to pay it and it wasn't the USA.

It is a warning for Felix, it looks like he is not welcome to retire in China.
And France? Mmmmm I reckon the Interpol Headquarters are there.

All IMO

And if the above is correct and you had an SMSF, wouldn't you be better off selling your personally held unlisted AVZ shares to your SMSF for pennies, so the dividend would be taxed at 15% instead? This would also realise your capital loss in personal tax.
That’s my plan.
