Okay people settle down the way I read it , who actually made an offer of 67c ps ? was it RIO , Kobold Cath ?? that is just the price worked out on what a newspaper value it , who is the sauce of these figures ? , I for one will even vote against royalties as I am too old and want to retire , its okay for you younger guys and girls as it is a good future income but not for the older guys and girls , I want and need my cash asap but will never accept what the NORTH and SOUTH is worth , like a few posters have said pay up or move on . Let's wait till management announces something , that is when I believe what I am told . Everybody stick with what you all believed was a fair price a week ago stop thinking negative .

Where’s Zeebot 😶‍🌫️
Concerning all over socials after this pathetic lowball we have shareholders saying they’ll accept $1.38 some even $1.

Already dropped from the $2 and $3s the same people were speculating with even just yesterday!

One article and holders have already halved what they think is a fair value. (Yes, I understand anything we might get will never be “fair value” for this monster of a deposit).

Don’t fall victim to these crooks. Need to ignore and head to the courts. Win that an it’s minimum $10bn + “royalties”.
Spare a thought for the peeps whole sold at 1c. who are out there watching this all go down.

If we get a decent payout etc., youd have to be pretty pissed you succumbed to that offer.

Our management need to remind any potential suitors that

1. CATH is funding us $20 million to be able to follow through our ICC & ICSID proceedings
2. ICC decisions so far have been in our favour
3. ICSID to commence shortly with a damages bill of $10 billion sought
4. Management & shareholders have demonstrated & still are prepared to go the distance with ICSID

Along with the above , & Felix being desperate , US gov wanting non Chinese sourced minerals , 2 suitors emerging (& surely Mr Pei won't let this go for a song ?) , we are in our strongest position since this saga began . KoBold wants to offer 67cps ? GTFO

Noting all the previous comments, and the Disneyesque $US1.5bn ($2.38bn) plus royalty randomly proposed by a homeless person, I cannot see other major miners, including CATH (CATL) or even Zijin letting this opportunity of a life time pass.

That figure is pure fiction, and without credibility.

Let's see who else wants to play.

Cheers
F

In real estate terms this regular a practice called "conditioning". Real estate agents will construct a low ball offer from one of their mates to sow doubt in the vendors mind - standard practice! Best ignored, keep emotions out of it, tell them they will need to find a smaller lithium deposit and that you will only begin negotiations when a realistic offer is tabled. And do it with a deboss style wink!

Remember folks, any proposed disposal of our key asset (Manono RD+CDL) must be put to shareholders for ratification.

We have the final word on this.

Psychology 101…Make an obscenely low bid hoping the seller will take it but have in mind a higher price that they will buy the asset. BTW I do not trust the price in the article, no source, could be someone playing funny buggers to get a low price or just some no nothing pulling numbers out of their arse; best ignored.

First of all....it's only a beginning base TO price. I was a few times involved in Take overs. My first TO was with CDV. First offer 46 cents by North Gold [ Russian ] . A few days later the Chinese come back with an offer of 60 cents. Then the counter offer by the Russians...67 cents... and it went on and on and finally got sold for 1.06 $. Everybody knows how valuable AVZ is...let's wait...it's all only the beginning of the bidding war and we got the last saying....

Just read up on that bidding war, good result in the end it seems. There's a way for this to go could be very interesting see what happens between now and the hearing date. Maybe these players won't want the case to start and are positioning now?

Wow had a day off the forums yesterday and just done a catch up. Yesterday after @mute 22 put up the article in "The Australian " lots of angst and negativity. This morning much more positive i think
Not sure who Brad Thompson is or where he sourced the $ 1.5 B USD figure but there certainally was nothing said confirming his source of this figure.
We have no real idea of what the " royalty " entails but for all we know the $1.5 B lowball could be to reduce tax implications to DRC with a very attractive "royalty" which could make this in fact a very good deal. Point is we really have no idea and everything for now is speculation
Suprisingly no one seems to be focussing on the meeting on Tueday of Special Envoy Boulos, Kobold chief Kurt House and the fat boy himself. To me this is the most exciting thing for sure.
Kobold tied to US security seems to me most likely way forward. I do find it hard to see how Rio could enter in to the project with a stand alone offer and satisfy Felixs want for M23 resolution. Much more likely Kobold/Rio partnership
Anyway looking forward to Tuesday

No matter what the price is, 10 years from now when they are digging up and refining, everyone will be looking back and thinking the eventual winner got it for a bargain.

Way I see it, we can start talking at $5b USD. Royalties sounds like something as well.
I'd like to see us get some additional billions out of zijin, they can either pay fair and square or we sue the fuck out of them. It's all the same to me with the later infinitely more satisfying.
No compromise should be made in that regard.
