Well what the fuck does that all mean?

Interesting.....
It means we can expect the ML to be issued.
yeah, not exactly sure..... she had clarified (well kind of) the earlier rights taken away from the companies... see below..

DRC: Antoinette N'samba denies accusations of alleged cancellation of the exploitation rights of 29 mining companies

The Minister of Mines, Antoinette N'samba Kalambayi provided an update on an article from the French media Jeune Afrique, on the forfeiture of the operating rights of certain mining companies working in the Democratic Republic of Congo, for which according to the boss of the mines, “contains untruths”.

Mining companies accused of disregarding the rules of the legal systemLuinyx
This clarification was made in a press release signed Friday September 15, a copy of which reached the editorial staff of MINES.CD this Monday September 18.
According to the Minister of Mines, the assertion that, “on July 31, 2023, an order was signed by Michel Kibonge Nyekuma, his chief of staff, canceled the exploitation rights of 29 companies on deposits in DRC” is “devoid” of logic and meaning. To this end, she specifies, the cabinet director “does not sign an order”.
“The author should have informed himself about the ABCs of Congolese public law before holding his pen. Rather, it is 61 orders signed by the Minister of Mines that I am; secondly, it was not a question of canceling the mining rights. Rather, the holders were stripped of their rights to these permits for legal reasons. Forfeiture does not affect the validity of a mining right when the forfeited holder has filed an appeal. “, she continued.
Jeune Afrique had also affirmed that “the Congolese State has not formally justified the reasons for this decision”, therefore Antoinette N'samba Kalambayi recalled the reasons for this forfeiture of mining rights.
“This assertion sufficiently demonstrates that the author of the article did not have access to the criticized decisions: the orders were indeed justified, the forfeiture was based on the failure to draw up the responsibility specifications societal,” recalled the minister.
However, the Congolese government sees in all the “caricatural” comments a desire to tarnish the image of the country's mining sector for reasons that “only the author of this article knows”.

Mining companies accused of disregarding the rules of the legal system

According to the mining boss, certain mining companies operating in the Democratic Republic of Congo have “no concern for the environment or the local communities” impacted by their mining projects, notwithstanding the legal system governing the mining sector in the country. .
“For example, there have been several reports of loss of life at the Boss Mining site,” she said, while asserting that everyone is aware that companies are today evaluated on the basis of ESG reviews, with regard to taking into account sustainable development and long-term issues in the strategy of economic players.
The Government of the Republic, she insisted, had no other choice than to activate legal mechanisms to force mining operators to comply with environmental and social requirements, in the face of environmental damage and recurring social disasters.

lets get real, it has NOTHING to do with AVZ. It has everything to do with 29 OPERATING mines who were not adhering to ESG requirements.

End of story, see oxxa post, thanks mate

NOT CORRECT. Nothing to do with us, to do with the companies that had their ML taken away from them

Who thinks Zijin will actually turn up on Thursday? Will they bail last minute or say the whole legal team got struck down with food poisoning the night before and request another delay?

From the Sept 27th announcement
"The preliminary question is currently listed for hearing on 5 and 6 October 2023."

Infers anything might happen imo, including getting covid from eating the laboratory bats brains, served as an entree on the China Airways flight

Presidential 2023: “fraud is planned”, warns Dénis Mukwege before announcing the submission of his candidacy this Tuesday to the CENI

Denis Mukwege will submit his candidacy this Tuesday, October 3, at the headquarters of the independent national electoral commission.

He made this announcement during his address to the nation in front of his supporters and some political figures.

“The fraud is already planned, we not only need to go and vote, but also ensure that our votes will not be stolen.

The last three electoral cycles must serve as a lesson to us,” he warned.

Very determined, the Nobel Prize winner says he wants to save the Democratic Republic of Congo.

“I am leaving my comfort to save the Congo which is disappearing from the map of Africa.

Our country has become the shame of the interior and the laughing stock of the world.

Our place is on the development podium. To get there, we need work and discipline,” he added.

Gringos already know too imo

According to insiders in Washington, there is an explanation for this leniency: the US has an agenda. Indeed, the United States is prepared to turn a blind eye to hastily organized elections in the DRC, however contentious, and will fund them no matter what. In return, however, Washington expects Kinshasa to subject the export of raw materials such as cobalt, copper and lithium to China to significantly stricter conditions.

If that's how you interpret it then you're wrong. We are currently going through a legal process and once that's sorted out in our favour off we go mining.

The DRC is lifting its game and is now in the spotlight thanks to the E.U. and the U.S. Simply put we were shafted by bad actors so there days are numbered. The MoM is on the defensive and now has to act. Simple as that.

Yes seen a little bit of MOM being in the news lately backtracking, good chance we are next. On evidence of her behaviour it seems she was not a champion of AVZ, but simply sided with whoever was 'winning', naughty lawyer.

The quiet before the storm at the moment, although I wonder if there is a storm in the offices of the AVZ lawyers with Zijin panicking and trying to come to a deal before ICC?
Zijin couldn't possibly offer what at this stage would be our requirements as they have backed themselves so strongly into their little corner with Comineire and Dathomir.

Looking forward to hearing from Franck hopefully around 6th on what's been happening in the courtroom. Will the ICC revelations be a catalyst for the DRC to finally take action? Or will they ignore again like the IGF? How much evidence is enough?

Should be a good few weeks.

If we win our cases at the ICC then the MoM's reasoning in the new decrees will be laughed out of the ICSID especially given the IGF report and the fact that conflicts between shareholders is unknown as a reason for cancellation of a PE in the DRC mining code. Let them eat pineapples just won't cut it anymore imo. Given the need and urgency.

Every time I have the misfortune of reading that piece of shit disguised as legitimacy it makes me want to puke, especially that last paragraph. Unbelievable what they have done to AVZ since May 2021.
