Thurs night battler thoughts from a punter. (after a couple winenuts, i mean wineo's) Get immense value out of reading regular posters, alas, with a long work day and busy family there are not many times to post. So firstly a heart felt thanks to those that contribute each day, a lot of us read and take in what you've taken the time to elaborate in writing and post. I'll get on a bus to work at 8am then home again at 7pm and its my only half hour each way to catch up on whats happening. But then also those that step it up with lobbying and promoting as well. I imagine a few like me feel a little bit guilty for not carrying as much weight as you guys.

A concern for me is the new formation of the IGM. Jules (the absolute maddog) running the IGF has been amazing, but my concern is they're bringing this in to push him out (of jurisdiction). That way the head of IGM has free rein, to appoint whom and whoever they like, and of courde they will fell the wallets of their scum associates.

Additionally, our complete lack of local FTE presence has (IMO) f***ked us over the last few years. Unless you are shown to be supporting visually where community can see you its worth nothing, and our BoD has this incredible arrogance bout them but i think even they have ben caught off guard.

I looked back on twitter and even that 'prince whatever his name' d***head was asking for money, i have no idea how to breach this culture of "acceptance of corruption". To that, nothing our company is formally telling us is giving me any hope. I'm not sure what we as a shareholder group could do here for more communication, an Extroidinary AGM may be necesary?? (I dont know the rules around this and expect someone will school me asap...)

In any case, its a good outlet to write a few lines from an incredibly frustrated older (2017) holder. Feel a bit better! Haha. Cheers legends, stay strong x

Mines: "control and transparency of metal supply chains are essential"

Prime Minister Sama Lukonde insisted on the need to ensure the control and transparency of metal supply chains across the country.

A proposal raised during the opening of the first forum of the national framework for consultation of stakeholders in the mining sector in the DRC.

"Although this may be a reason for pride, the position of world leader in the production of these metals must imperatively challenge us in the need to strengthen control and transparency over the entire extent of the supply chains of the said resources in the means not only of the mining code and the mining regulations in force, but also by the observance and implementation of the duty of care imposed by the guide of the Organization of Trade and Economic Development, OECD ", has hammered the head of the Congolese government in his speech.

In front of more than one hundred and fifty (150) participants gathered at the red room of the Congo River Hotel in Kinshasa, the number one of the national executive recalled that, it is only by the rigor of cohesion, the result of the combination of efforts , that the DRC will succeed in achieving this objective, which is to clean up the extractive sector as a whole.

“The Government has unreservedly taken up the establishment of this national consultation framework. As long as it makes it possible to bring together the best contributions of everyone, with a view to achieving the transparency objectives assigned to this noble initiative,” he concluded.

For her part, the Minister of Mines, Antoinette N'Samba Kalambayi raised the various challenges to be met in artisanal mining that the DRC expects.

It should be noted that this ceremony was attended by the Coordinator of the Presidential Council for Strategic Watch (CPVS), the main mining operators in the DRC, public and specialized services of the State, decentralized territorial entities (ETD), civil society organizations as well as technical and financial partners of the Government.

The General Inspectorate of Finance (IGF) comes out of its silence after the suspension of Fabrice Lusinde, Managing Director of the National Electricity Company (SNEL).

The Head of Service of this control institution affiliated to the Presidency of the Republic, Jules Alingete wonders about what is alleged against this public officer suspended by the Minister of the Portfolio, Adèle Kayinda.

In an interview with colleague Israel Mutombo of Bosolo na Politik, IGF boss Jules Alingete said he was very surprised by this suspension.

Seems like the new game being played is don’t say anything about the government because they don’t like it and also it feeds the trolls…. Meanwhile the government just seems to be making moves to give Cominiere and Zijin a greater share in the project even though the only thing they have done regarding the project is usurp and undermine it

I’m hoping one of our more informed members here can tell me if I’m wrong because it seems like the government is now attacking the IGF.

I’m starting to consider who else is running in the upcoming election and passing any info on to them in the hope that they might have some sense of morality…. Perhaps more exposure on the hundreds of thousands of people getting slaughtered in the country’s north east or dying in artisanal mining, or the millions dying of famine and disease, or the fact that the DRC people are among poorest on Earth while rich politicians live in luxury in Kinshasa might be a good place to start
