Given the average length of an ICC case reaching a final award is roughly 26 months, I guess we shouldn't be surprised that delaying tactics can be quite effective. It's pretty clear that our opponents are trying to time us out. Let's hope we can get the first case in, at least in the next month or so, so we can start the lengthy clock towards a ruling ticking and applying pressure on the cases to come.

On a related side note, anyone heard anything about if there's been any headway in setting a timeline for the Cominiere ICC case? Seems to have gone dark since the emergency ruling preventing Cominiere from dissolving the JV.

to be fair Geo, you could write an absolute masterpiece, but, it will not be read or taken onboard once you've started your sentence calling them the best BOD on the ASX...
Components that are required to be considered " BEST BOD ON THE ASX ( mining )"......imo

a) Have a network to attract the most talented geologists to explore and ultimately define a economical mineral deposit.

b) Practice continuous disclosure rules at all times

c) Inform shareholders on a timely basis with clear and concise comms ( ASX announcements )

d) Reply to shareholder enquiries in a timely manner

e) Under promise and over deliver

How many of those components does AVZ BOD satisfy ?.......;)

We have known from the beginning the legal process will take 3 to 5 years to play out (probably more ) . Throwing in endless delays for every proceeding as well the many months it will take for verdicts to be handed down .Recent rumours /count downs / Very advanced discussions were obviously not based on ICC/ICSID verdicts . It will come down to whether the DRC want this mine up and running asap or not .At this point it's looking so far they don't give a rats .

I have no objection to paying BOD's the wages they get once we are "producing revenue". The junior miner market is a spec-fuelled segment where now the only risk is borne by Shareholders. It would get rid of a lot of cowboys (Eckhoff, Brewer et al) and useless endeavours.

AVZ bod certainly deserved their wages when they discovered the greatest lithium deposit the world will ever see and certainly deserve their wages now fighting hard to fend off scum trying to steal it in a scum country whos native tongue is predominantly farken french and chinese.....;)

Fuck me…. I see the usual conjecture and confusion going on here, even after the BOD demonstrated that they are aware of and dealing with the aspects they are having to deal with by announcing new BOD members.

Rather than the usual fear, doubt speculation, why don’t some of you consider that Zijin is fucked, ICC case will proceed and show this to be true and the result of that will be another nail in Kibeya’s coffin.

I'm unsure if this relates to the earlier extension or am I confused?
Early October is what the icc said no later.

Early October is what the icc said no later.
The Sole Arbitrator determined that a short continuance was appropriate, strictly limited to a response to the issues raised in the IGF Report, and that the Parties should discuss and agree on a “tight” procedural calendar bearing in mind that a hearing should be held in September and not later than early October.

Random information

IF director nominations for the three clowns are still in effect at 2023 AGM, then 2 positions can be contested - Clarke and Johnson were last elected/re-elected in 2020, and will be required to put themselves forward again (assuming they want to).

In hindsight, rather foolishly, we voted Hugelips back in in 2021, but then the shareholder revolt threat in 2022 saw him off, and then Brans was voted back in in 2022

Our constitution says AVZ can have up to 9 directors, including MD (who is not required to stand for re-election), but I can see no need for the clowns - we don't need a circus, and we don't want to replace "the best BoD on the ASX", eh @geo_au 😉😉

So, with the appointment of our 2 new AB FAB highly experienced and relevant Directors by the current BoD, the AGM resolutions change only slightly.

We will be asked to CONFIRM the 2 new Appointees. Shareholders need to actively vote YES There will be a body of votes who will vote NO, guess where that might come from? Bin Votin

By the way, those inferring it's possible to have a BoD of 9, if three clowns get voted in, is incorrect. We haven't passed an ordinary resolution to increase the number of directors, so it must stay at (now) 6. The BoD can APPOINT new directors, as they have done, to be confirmed at the next AGM by shareholders

We also haven't passed an ordinary resolution to change the process for rotation of directors, so only 2 positions are up for grabs

I said above, Clarke and Johnson will required to put themselves up, possibly against 3 clowns, but their tide is ebbing quite quickly I think.

Good luck with that you fucking clowns

My contact said there is no one there to ask at present so an email has been sent to the bod. Hopefully will receive confirmation in the next few days. Personally I think someone on twitter is trying to cause trouble.
