DRC: the Manono Lithium exploitation project at the center of exchanges between CAMI leaders and a delegation from AVZ Minerals
In order to discuss the social and economic benefits for the DRC of the lithium exploitation project in the Manono by DATHCOM, a delegation from AVZ Minerals Ltd exchanged this Tuesday, August 15, with Paul Mabolia and Jacques Muyumba, respectively DG and DGA newly appointed head of the Mining Cadastre (CAMI).
According to a statement from AVZ Minerals Ltd, including a copy sent to MINES.CD, it is indicated that this meeting is "a singular importance", especially since it marks the resumption of work sessions between the Mining Cadastre and the Australian mining giant on the lithium exploitation project in the Manono.
"Paul Mabolia was fully satisfied with this initiative and expressed his enthusiasm for the prospects for future collaboration," noted the statement while explaining that the DG of the CAMI also expressed his willingness to "involve personally", under the supervision of the Ministry of Mines, to "guarantee the success of the Manono project".
The lithium exploitation project in the Manono is currently of paramount importance for the country, because it has the potential to "transform" the entire Greater Katanga region through the exploitation of lithium, a highly coveted ore.
