Yes, it is as simple as viewing and posting the thread as per normal and placing people you don't want to hear from on ignore. What you are not taking into account though, is that just because someone is technically an adult, this does not mean that they possess logical reasoning or critical thinking skills.
I would also disagree that it is odd for keyboard warriors to feel the need for a safe space. People experiencing emotional distress and mental health issues will often try to use safe spaces, as trying to operate in the wider community can be too overwhelming for someone going through a mental health crisis. Hence the need for the mental health therapy thread.

For any genuine shareholders of the non trolling variety, what I would say is just realise that what will be, will be, with this whole situation.
Try not to stress out about every small post or detail. It is a waiting game at this stage. If people are on here trolling and trying to get validation from creating private threads then just ignore their trolling. They do not have more information than other shareholders.
Register for the AVZ announcements to your email and then maybe try to limit check ins to two or three per month. Spend your time with friends and family because what will be, will be.
The most interesting recent development for me was Kiki's post. Nigel has been tight lipped with what he thinks is a fair value. However, I don't believe Kiki comes up with these posts totally independently. I think he has some type of connection with AVZ in order to provide positive PR for AVZ in the DRC.
Kiki suggests compensation sought may be between $3-5 billion USD. Not a total disaster and may be some sort of rough indication of a figure from the "AVZ side", although it is not directly from Nigel.

That is the only problem. Back on HC I put all the trolls on ignore, and I put many people that routinely reply to the trolls on ignore. The problem then became that I am probably missing some good info because I have many many people on ignore.

You need to qualify the exchange rate in your calculations.
You appear to be using USD$1 = AUD$0.625. I think that's very generous. A more realistic value to calculate with would 0.67 or higher.
I post on footy forums etc. so have seen a very broad view of the “characters” that populate online platforms such as this. It’s critical to raise devil advocates, alternative views etc. against the grain but gee you open yourself up to the group think backlash “they are a troll” narrative.

I am over 40, I grew up without the Internet and the whole 'group think', comment for likes mentality. I only come here to find out things I don't know and get different perspectives, not affirmation and echos.
Back on point though, https://x.com/matt_fernley/status/1953352302141550957, even mainstream view points are we are off the bottom of the cycle (my watch list is mostly green again now too). So either Kobold (or other negotiating parties Nigel Mentioned in the last announcement), thinks longterm and prices in future value or we just keep going through arbitration till the value we see matches what others are willing to pay.

The DRC’s rulers have reportedly already given their thumbs up to the deal.
