Is there any way that Zijin are forced to meet the hearing date, or can they just delay it as much as they want without consequence?

Go AVZ!
Could be.
Mistakes happen. It's not like putting words together, reporting facts correctly, proof-reading, editing, are core competencies of a journalist.
Gave the dickhead a small amount of wiggle room as it looks like a tweet on the bird

A twat tweet I guess you could say...

Inaccurate info' just makes the enemy work a little harder.
I'm sure we all have an ex who changes 'facts' just a little and confuses the whole discussion which becomes about the inaccuracy.

9card indicated the reason for the delay was 'a conflicting schedule of the arbitrator'

Zijin aren't directly delaying the hearing themselves.....the arbitrator is apparently double booked

Of course Z may have supplied the brown paper bag that the arbitrator found his clashing appointment in.....

So fucking over this shit

Im not fussed

$AVZ have been reassured, 🇨🇩PR05 #Tshisekedi has decided no to #Zijin_corruption and Yes to
@AvzMinerals
🇦🇺⛏️
revert back to
@FranckFwamba
tweet, we trust Franck, hez our😌harbinger of good news for #AVZ investors💪🏿
trust
@MariusMihigo
also, he will get us ML + 15%
Is it just me who finds Svetlana's tweets on the bird really annoying? Heart in the right place, and I applaud the effort to post a lot of news, however I've rarely seen a person more affected by cognitive biases. Always so slanted, to the point where it takes away from any of the material presented.

Like on the above, it's absolutely a false connection being drawn and presented as fact. The original tweet from Franck simply stated that PR05"s people had visited Manono and that the local community and civil society leaders had said they want AVZ not Zijin. Great! Already is a positive statement, no need to embellish. However she has then somehow suggested that this actually means that the President has said no to Zijin and Yes to Avz. What a load of hogwash.

How about applying a little bit of rigor, critical thinking, or even just giving a careful reading to the source material before raising people's hopes Svetlana?

Apparently the ICC case has nothing to do with the awarding of the ML . It's 15% we never had . Plan B Nigel .

Just a question to the forum. Who is the ICC and who polices the police ? I would suggest is absolute bullshit re double booking and if it is the case that the ICC Arbitration ZJ v AVZ is in fact delayed and it is the chinese that have arranged this ( bribery ) then the whole world is fucked.
@ 9cardomaha does your source indicate it is definately the AVZ v ZJ case being delayed or is it possible they talking about the result of the MMCS v Cominiere case ? Given they had 90days to come up with an agreement that said agreement pretty much due this week
Right now we do not have any official announcement re all this just TR article in AFR which is very vague and @9 Cardomaha bit of intel.

ZJ v AVZ hearing on jurisdiction delayed - the ICC clerk i made contact with shared only because this case is 'public'. MMCs v Cominiere we won;t have updates until a final decision is rendered since that one is stock standard 'confidential'.

Re the MMCS v Cominiere was it not he case that the arbitrator gave the parties 90 days to come to an agreement ? If they dont then what ? Does the arbitrator make a call ?

I find most of the tweets annoying. So often they sound like "good news" only to let us down.
Shouldn't any ICC delays warrant an AVZ announcement? Or is delay not official yet?

Re the MMCS v Cominiere was it not he case that the arbitrator gave the parties 90 days to come to an agreement ? If they dont then what ? Does the arbitrator make a call ?
My understanding is that during the 90 days, either party can submit a request for extension ranging from 'we need more time to prepare documents', 'we would like to request further document disclosure/discovery'. Not sure if this is limited to 1 per side or if they can indefinitely stall the project with bullshit...

these requests would then sit with the arbitrator or tribunal panel residing over the case for 3-5 workings days and they would decide on whether an extension will be allowed and how long it would be.

^the above comes from my understanding of a similar request submitted by ZJ during the case against AVZ due to former Cominiere CEO getting arrested and them needing to find another clown to be their key witness - enter CKK.

Interesting to note, the chinese in Beijing referred to the congolese as behaving like children. What an insult. Is that because chinese contracts are being reviewed.

Our BOD is going to get the ML for us and we're going to go mining.

I'm trusting in nige and the bod to close the deal to see us move forward. I know we are all hurting in different ways in dealing with this situation but the negativity directed to mgmt isnt going to bring the ml home and is only good for our detractors. its clear that the DRC is a difficult operating environment with corruption running deep, not sure anyone else would have us in a better position. I'm supporting mgmt.
Agree but neither is the faith or positivity. Nothing will bring about the ML more effectively than effective management. Which we clearly do not have! Why would you want it thrown out of court if you were right?

One day investors will look back and say the pain we suffered wasn't worth the worry. I am 100% sure we will be going mining once this ziijin saga is thrown out. Simply put they don't have a case and the congolese don't want them hence the presidents delegation to Monomo.
So for the last time we will be going mining.

There's a couple of things which throw this off a bit , so difficult to pinpoint what hes on about....'ruling' is he on about the MMCS V Cominiere ruling because that 'ruling' is due out by the end of this week ..... The Zijin V AVZ case, isn't a ruling its a hearing, the ruling would be around the 20th of July ... his date of the 23rd is also incorrect; our case is scheduled (at this stage ) for the 19th / 20th of April , not the 23rd

Tommy the twat had been biased against AVZ from day dot. You think his articles are in any way, shape or form unbiased and well researched pieces?
The ASX has been all over AVZ for the last few years, I’d say one of the most scrutinized companies on ASX. They have been ok with it.
I’ve been critical of AVZ management but fair suck of the sav forming an opinion from these bullshit biased articles from AFR is just plain stupid imo.
Everyone squeals like this when things don’t go our way. “Tommy is a twat”. “Zinjin are corrupt cunts”. Etc the only thing our BOD have done is let them get away with all this bullshit and stand around in Perth counting rocks. Where is the offence! Where is the aggression! Tommy is a twat and zinjin are corrupt cunts but they have us by the dick! And we are acting like it’s a rub and tug.
