If it's him it looks like he's aged about 10 years in the past few months - which also makes sense too.
Haven’t we all?

I just rang AVZ head office and was told the travel movements of the BoD can't be discussed , but if I send an email through it would be forwarded on to the appropriate person . Fair enough I guess . I've sent an email & await a reply .
If it is Graeme , that's a good sign .
Apparently it's Mark Bristow 😆

Go AVZ!
But is the world seriously watching Wino? If this does go further south i don't think the DRC is going to be considered any different to now really. Things blow over, new leaderships come into power and things are forgotten. It's a new age - like this one under FT that now appears to be not a great deal different to what came before it. Countries and company's will still deal with DRC whatever happens with this licence. The US will keep pushing for action on corruption and transparency, but it'll be all talk and things will continue as before. China will keep being China and playing their game of control. Lots of talk about moving away from Beijing but haven't seen much of that translate into action. Strategic interests trump moral ones. Personal and political interests trump social conscience. Not saying it will go south BTW, just that I think the potential impact to DRC of this licence being reassigned may not be as consequential or permanent as some have previously said
I reckon they're watching

World's largest hard rock Lithium resource

Apparently the DRC want investment and to move away from the stranglehold of the Chinese (well that's what they fucking say)

Last thing the DRC then want is a serious bunch of mining folk from Australia jumping up and down on the world stage yelling at the top of their lungs....

"Look at AVZ , look at this, they pumped in over $100M of investment in the DRC and the corrupt Government and bad actors in the DRC robbed them in broad daylight. WARNING WARNING do not invest in DRC WARNING WARNING you will be blocked and ultimately robbed by the government and their agencies WARNING WARNING RED LIGHTS RED FLAG RED FLAG do not invest in the DRC ...repeat do not invest in the DRC!!!!!"

Only thing left for the Congolese Government and the Congolese people will be more barbaric treatment and raping of the country and it's resources by the Chinese

View attachment 29129 Gotta love this bit too.
Someone tell me how you reconcile a statement like with MoM also wanting Zijin to be involved
The dissonance between their words and their actions is truly staggering.

Does Graeme like a turmeric latae and pretending he’s working while he’s on porn hub….

I can see merit in the solutions that you are coming up with regarding settling the ownership dispute but I have to bring it back to politics. With an election this year and if I was in opposition and Felix was to implement your suggestions like bring in Zijin etc I would rip you apart. I would show the people the IGF report which identifies the corrupt actors and illegal transfers and push it so hard that Felix is complicit in the corruption. I am not sure Felix would want that.

AVZ will launch a US$10Billion damages claim in the ICC against DRC if 13359 was taken/re-assigned from Dathcom.

I dont think it will. That would be a very dumb move by the MoM and set back the DRC and Presidents strategy of DRC being an International Greenhouse Solutions country. US and Europe would not be able to touch any resources from DRC be it Li, Cu, Au, Co. President is diversifying trade and investment away from 99% China to stronger relations with US and Europe and Middle East.

AVZ/Dathcom have complied with the requirements of the mining code and the JV Agreement. No legal basis for the title to be stripped from Dathcom JV and therefore if that happened massive damages claim even though that would take years to settle.

IGF investigation and report supports AVZ position in Dathcom JV.

DRC has Internationally lots at stake with this and their reputation. Action of the MoM i think is a warning to Dathcom JV to sort out the issues...but that is a catch 22 situation, as all of the JV ownership problems are related to the corrupt actions of its own politicians and senior Comminiere officials.

Good to see Marius is confident of sorting it out. DRC Announcement of Cabinet Reshuffle will be the start.
Sorry, i might have missed where Marius was confident of sorting it out. Can someone point me in the right direction please?

Today, the Minerals Security Partnership (MSP) partners and key minerals-rich countries held a vice-ministerial meeting to discuss priorities, challenges, and opportunities in responsible mining, processing, and recycling of critical minerals.

MSP partners participating in the meeting included: Australia, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Japan, Italy, the Republic of Korea, Norway, Sweden, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the European Union. Additional countries in attendance included Angola, Botswana, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia.

MSP partners also announced support for the following principles for a shared commitment to high environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards. The announcement was made at the Investing in African Mining Indaba conference in Cape Town, South Africa.

These announced principles mark the public commitment to full integration of ESG standards into the MSP’s work, with the goal of achieving an equitable and just energy transition. The MSP will support socially responsible projects that meet recognized international ESG standards. Under these basic principles, the MSP will support projects that:
  • Demonstrate responsible stewardship of the natural environment;
  • Engage in consultative and participatory processes with regard to land access and acquisition;
  • Commit to meaningful, ongoing consultation with communities;
  • Ensure safe, fair, inclusive, and ethical conditions in the community and the workplace;
  • Provide economic benefit for workers, and local communities; and
  • Ensure transparent, ethical business operations.
/end

These new principles will apply at some future time, but not now while our arses are bleeding because, why would they?

I’ll write to the State Department tonight and revert if they happen to come back with anything more than a boilerplate response. [edit:done]
