AVZ Discussion 2022

My take FWIW.

FT through decrees has put all parties on notice.

Forget court cases. Stop bitching. Put a smile on your dials (even if forced), and come to an "arrangement" quickly.
It's an election year, this needs to be full steam ahead, yesterday.

AVZ won't end up with what they hoped, but they'll always own 51%, IMO.

I think this will happen in the next month and we'll be trading.

Cheers.

Wich could have been done 12 months ago and should have been. None of this grief needed to happen.
Begs the question what the dathcom reps in country have been doing the past few months right.

So much angst on here today! I really struggle to see how this isn't a positive step for us.
Lets look at the news we've had over the past week or so:
  1. Ministerial reshuffle
  2. Cominiere claiming back its rights in the project ie fk off Zijin and MMCS
  3. Undoing of the tenement split.
Can anyone tell me how any of this is possibly positive for the cretins at Zijin or other corrupt actors trying to steal a chunk of our project?
It's a painful process but IMO these are all steps forwards for us. And at the very least they're a step towards a resolution, and any resolution is better than perpetual purgatory.

IIRC MoM has 30-days from application to issue a decree? IMO we are obtaining legal advice because we are well outside that 30-day period now and the only decree the MoM has issued was rubbish that they ended up rescinding. So AVZ now trying to figure out whether to wait for new decree - which will absolutely come to replace old one - or take it straight to court to have it approved. Either way, an actual timer running down now to more news on this.

The comments in this latest decree about shareholders getting along - IMO targeted more at Cominiere than AVZ. But regardless, nothing in there that can be used to hold up issuing another decree. They make a comment about wanting to get this moving, well, the next step now is them issuing new decree.

So we have progress on every front:
  1. Corruption - Removal (or at least moving) of corrupt actors
  2. Ownership - Undoing of Cominiere's dodgy attempts to flog part of the project
  3. Permit - Confirmation that we have the entire tenement and that is what should be covered by forthcoming exploitation permit
Yeah it's slow but I still really struggle to see how these aren't all moving things gradually towards a resolution in AVZ's favour.
Great post mate...........i certainly hope it plays out the way you articulated.

Us longs need to continue to keep the faith.

'With a view to save the Manono lithium project'

'Given the need and urgency'

'Nature to paralyse the exploitation of lithium and to prevent the state from channeling the products resulting from the exploitation licence 13359'

AVZ management are all away for meetings and Nigel cancels 121. I reckon the highest levels of state have made themselves available and this shitshow is going to get sorted out one way or another. Lions gonna lion.

I think the concept in principle is pretty reasonable and well thought through but I think you are being a bit naive about how easy it is to get an audience with the most highest levels of State.
Hi Spikerama

The solution may be to let the DRC govt chair the meeting with agenda input from all vested parties. In that way the meeting and its outcomes (if any) have the imprimatur of government. Hopefully, just another couple of meetings will achieve a solid base on which to move forward.

Cheers

I hope they have stopped spending money on site as all share holders should be paying for any work on site not just avz. Will we be compensated for last lot of drilling and site work? I wouldn't think so.

Right I've been doing some thinking.....ok stop sniggering at the back.

An thanks to Solos great work this morning on the Decree, we are able to read it in full. Which helps, cheers you legend !!

'continuing tensions' GTFO

Lets be real here, Cominiere don't want to mine, they don't want to build a mine in Manono, they have no interest or capacity.
They have also fraudulently sold 15% off to Zijin for peanuts, while not giving us our contracted ROFR. They have no interest in the mining.

So how about we as in DATHCOM hold a meeting of Serious DATHCOM holders - as in who's here after the ML is given, who's going to mine this and pay for it and build it (you dickheads)

Ok so who do we have then, well that's AVZ 51% and that's DRC state 10% and CATH 24% with the remaining 15% unaccounted for UNLESS you would like to give us our ROFR - nah didn't think so dickheads, so the 15% is rescinded as it was illegal and remains floating.

At this meeting we shall discuss these 'continuing tensions', we shall discuss how to get this thing moving fast as we are now behind schedule from mining to SEZ, we shall also in each other's company discuss the 15% who wants it and agree upon decisions made at that meeting while acknowledging AVZ has ROFR.

This is IMO is what needs to be done with Felix and Antoinette together in a meeting room. They are hypocrites of the highest order if not corrupt/useless/incompetent, a meeting is critically required where basically this gets hashed out before anyone leaves the room. Even if we arrange that 'meeting' to happen at a later date in Cape Town, it needs to happen.

What do you peeps think ?
That’s a great way to move forward, but easier said than done when dickheads are involved. It seems like African politicians have more greed than the Chinese.

I like scarpas thought and feel similar about the situation. I does sound like government is saying they want a mine, figure it out and get on with it. I wonder if this was the government saying, we’ll remove the split and put 13359 back in one piece, you sort out ownership on your own. If they can’t work out current problems, how would they all ever agree on how to build a mine or how to start? They would still be bitching back and forth years from now, useless Felix would not have his battery chain come true and the local people would be rolled further into the gutter.

The lack of support from government or even anything at all from them is horseshit. This could have and should have been resolved 9 months ago if Felix really wanted to stomp on corruption and make a statement. I think the president has kept his ass out of this to keep support for the upcoming election, or because he is also corrupt. I think probably both. He is trying to play both sides of the field to look good internationally and keep himself in the president’s chair.

The only positive spin I can make up is something seems to be changing and government wants it to happen. Good or bad for us, who knows. This is just something that been running through my head based on pretty much nothing.

My son decided to use the toilet with out lifting the lid. That’s right, he sat down and took a shit on top of the toilet. I don’t know why, but I can probably make more sense of that, then the clusterfuck we are all in.

Stay well everyone, keep your chin up. Hopefully some clarification in the coming days.

Well, I’m of to clean up poo. At least it’s not a pineapple in the ass. 🤔💪

Agreed.

Personally - even though it has been a shit show with all the fake news, corruption, shit coming out of the wood works. I'm, somewhat, glad that it has happened now, rather than when we have the ML and are on the way to commissioning the mine.

Not sure if there would have been any difference from a legal stand point if the disputes happened now vs later on - however i'd rather the 'dirty laundry' be hung up now so we have a clean run.

Imagine if the mine had been completed and they tried this shit - that, imo, woudl have been a lot worse.

Agreed, doesn’t seem like they could get close to him before. Even with consultants and lawyers, why would they have better luck now?
This is exactly what should have happened. A fill in, explaining wtf is happening there, asking infront of everyone for Felix to sort out the corruption and illegal interference. Then get on with a quick presentation.
yes, then everyone in attendance would be fully aware and perhaps Felix would be forced to intervene.

Yep mate I'm with you. One would hope. But trust me. I have lived and worked in Africa. Not DRC but East Africa.

Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, Mozambique.

I've worked with the highest levels of Gov. And getting a meeting with them, even when they want something done, isn't as easy as it should be. Basically because they have so much shit going on and it's a fucking horror show.

Not saying that is the same for the DRC but all the evidence so far doesn't paint a better picture sadly.

"Clearly Nigel should have been on the ground the last 3 years, not in Perth. Thats how you earn the PR’s. At least he could have said “I tried”. If he had been there all the time."

Sorry, thats a ridiculous statement to make, are you forgetting there was a PANDEMIC squeezed in that equation which ravaged thru the worlds population ?

Criticise the AVZ bod all you like regards to CONTINUOUS DISCLOSURE and Nigels CONFLICT OF INTEREST, but you certainly cant blame them for coming back home for COVID reasons.........

For me, the real arseholes in this enormous shit show is Zijin / Cominiere / Dathomir / Cong but more importantly, the impotent president FT, who should of re shuffled / weeded out the corrupt wankers that existed in his cabinet from the previous Kabila regime when he attained power in 2019, who ironically misled him to believe that AVZ " was not worthy " of being awarded a ML, which gives me the strongest impression that he wasnt following the progression of the biggest hard rock lithium play which would transform his country........instead, FT preferred to travel around the globe, seminar to seminar, preaching his bull shit that DRC was the destination / solution for the EV revolution ........:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Now FT has the audacity to bypass the IGF report, pass the buck back to AVZ urging them to harmonise the Dathcom registry in order to attain the ML.

FT has left AVZ out to dry, completely disrespecting a coy that has done all the hard yards by the book, spent 100s of millions of dollars to attain a favourable DFS , build accomodation, preliminary earth works and continue to drill out RD to further refine .

So Modo, you should be concentrating your vent on FT, his corrupt ministers, the corrupt chinese actors, not solely on AVZ bod.

This is not a emotional post...........just underlining the facts for you champ.

Ive made it fairly clear my complete disdain for Felix.

I give it to you 2020 was a right off, but travel exceptions for Business in 2021 was allowed, yes a bit of trouble but thats what he is being remunerated well for.

As for 2022, no excuse, and this appears to be when a lot of AVZ woes began, on the ground in the DRC.

How much time did Nigel spend in 2022 in the DRC? The companies one and only asset is located there.

If they could all meet in the same room with Mom and president it’s a lot harder to make up lies on the spot with out facts and evidence. Even harder to leave the room in agreement then go and do the opposite and say that never took place.

Why is Scarpa saying (MoP says) "Ziljin have 15%"? I thought someone reported "MoP says Dathomir's claim to 15% still stands"?? I'm confused??
