Last Council of Ministers of the Sama 1 government, the size of the Sama 2 team,… here is the latest news of the reshuffle in the making!
Friday, January 27, 2023-The Head of State, Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo chairs, from his office of the African Union, by videoconference, the eighty-fourth meeting of the Council of Ministers. According to better informed sources close to the Presidency of the Republic contacted by Okapinews.net, this is the last for the government team Sama 1.
Returning to the country after more than a week spent in Europe, Africa and the United Arab Emirates, the President of the Republic returned to Kinshasa on the evening of Thursday, January 26 through Ndjili International Airport.
If the question of the security situation in the East of the Republic is in the foreground, Fatshi returned to complete, this week, the file relating to the reshuffle of the government which he himself had announced at the beginning of January.
Our sources point out that the prime minister has been reporting on downsizing government for more than a week.
“There will be ministers who will be coupled, some will simply disappear.
This, in order to significantly reduce the standard of living of the institutions.
The President of the Republic had already given a strong signal by reducing the number of staff in his cabinet”, says our source.
It is up to him to continue, the size of the Government will be reduced to around 40 members instead of 53 as in the Sama 1 government.
At what level is the redesign!
Everything is ready, announce our sources.
The President of the Republic and the Prime Minister have worked in synergy since the announcement.
Even being outside the country, Felix Tshisekedi gave clear instructions for the new government team to be published before the end of the week.
“It will be this weekend, or at the latest before Friday of next week.
It should be remembered that today's meeting of the Council of Ministers is the last of the Sama 1 Government team", informs our source.
It is up to him to continue that all the ministers at the base of various embezzlements will be set aside.
The IGF involved…
The General Inspectorate of Finance would have been called upon to present its reports relating to control in the cabinets of members of the government.
“In the lists of the Financial Gendarme, several members of the government appear there.
In connection with his fierce fight against the embezzlement of public funds, the President of the Republic intends to set aside all members of the government cited in legal and embezzlement cases”, warns our source.
Two major objectives for the Sama 2 team…
The new government team will have two clear missions.
The first is to work on actions with visible impacts one year before the presidential election.
Secondly, taking into account the representativeness, the members of the Sama 2 government will have to wet the jersey not only to give an overwhelming majority to Félix Tshisekedi but also to have him elected en masse.
The end of the week will be decisive, particularly with regard to the survival of members of the Sama 1 Government team.
Wait and See!

Todays meeting of ministers......no sign of the green Mamba...could be that it?
Hard to tell if it's her or not from the low quality image. But I would expect all ministers to be attending the council of ministers until the reshuffle is officially announced.I think she’s second down the list of people dialed in… can kind of make out her green dress and name could be hers.
I could be (and hope) I’m wrong and it’s someone else

Yep I just got this from him on LinkedIn last night. You think he just saying the mining is all too hard? What a strange comment to unpack.
What Felix is saying is that he wants to diversify the DRC economy so it isn't as reliant on one sector. Particularly a sector where he is having to unwind decades of corruption and lopsided deals with China. It is a wise move to concentrate on agriculture by Felix considering the global food shortages caused by disruptions to supply chains and the amount of arable land the DRC has. Sri Lanka was a wake up call to governments all around the world about the need for sensible management of their economy and self reliance. Something politicians in Australia would do well to consider especially with energy imoTranslation
Too much corruption in mining, so instead of sticking to my promises of cleaning it up, I'll just turn a blind eye while the DRC riches are stolen and focus on agriculture and digital.
digital? Much of the population dont have electricity ffs!!!Translation
