AVZ Discussion 2022

That we've got the ML, got a great partner in CATH who own 24%, that we are on a staged approach to 10mtpa, that we expect FID in a few months

You mite need to tell Alice in wonderland that because in that realm it's possible but definitely not possible.

yup strange, so he is the ultimate roadblock?
We will find out in the next few weeks. The ministerial reshuffle is expected by the end of January. If the same roadblocks are still in place after this occurs and Felix doesn't intervene with a presidential decree then we will need to put up the for sale sign.

But hard to see what Felix's ulterior motive would be. If he wanted to take Manono off us he would have already done so. I am certain he understands that the deposit needs to come online for his vision of a DRC battery industry to come to fruition.

I think Felix has already started the process to see the impasse resolved. He would prefer to only personally get involved if absolutely necessary. There's more to being king than getting your way all the time imo

Economic forum finished a few days ago. Just like everyone of the whispers that people keep hearing, the rumours have once again proven to be unfounded. No change of governing ministers in sights, especially no removal of any of the roadblocks in our way.

The people in the DRC who are directly affected by this impasse should be vocal about all of this. Yet we hear no demonstrations or protests in regards to this. AVZ also silent makes it even more stupid. Only a few journalists speaking on Twitter (the vast majority of the population would have no idea what they even type) have spread any word of our plight.

At what point does AVZ spend a mere fraction of their high legal fees on a public relations push in country? It’s a joke we have stayed quiet for all this time with no progress to be seen or found.

The President only cares about his re-election. So make him care about us by pinning this mining lisence to thousands of votes in the community of Manono and the surrounding communities who would benefit from AVZ.

It’s all a big joke. Overpaid part time management that can’t even tell us what the plan is to break this impasse. Or who is directly responsible for it all.
They have no fucken idea never have / paßt fucking it off.

Felix knows who AVZ are. He has been more than happy to take a picture with AVZ management and lawyers in the past. It is curious that no photos are available from this key meeting with Nigel last year. I don't doubt that it occurred but it's strange that it wasn't documented.

From the 2020 annual report:

A few observations and areas for improvement:
  • Wiggle tip: when making door-frames make them higher than your average human.
  • Photo composure tip: don’t put the tallest guy next to the shortest guy
  • Fashion: While most of the world has moved away from double-breasted suits, Felix holds the line. He is his own man - what does that say about him?
  • Those ties: Why is it that only the fucking lawyers know how to tie a double-Windsor knot? Oh the humanity!
  • First warning: C’mon people, someone could have tripped on this power cables. Tape them to the floor, FFS.

Well spotted @Mr Inappropriate. The only thing I would say is that I doubt our attorney knows how to tie a double Windsor knot, more likely one of those ties with a clip on elastic neck.

@Carlos Danger, I’m trying to stay positive and give Felix the benefit of the doubt because the cabinet and advisor reshuffle came from a supposedly good source, but if we don’t see it manifest soon, he can travel to every country in the world telling leaders the DRC is a great place to do business and while he is doing it, I’m going to be posting this and hoping it will be copied on every social media website around the world

Yea he has had a meeting with Nigel. He is aware. Starting to suspect he likes snacks tbh. His movement on the corruption is so slow it’s pretty much a crime itself.

4 years of Tshisekedi in power: "Justice displays the face of a poor relative as under the Kabila regime"

1674647745421.png

The Head of State, Félix Tshisekedi, totaled, this Tuesday, January 24, 2023, 4 years in the supreme magistracy of the DR Congo.

On this occasion, the civil society of Kasaï Central considers the record of 4 years of the fifth president of Congo-Kinshasa not very brilliant in terms of justice.

According to him, "justice displays the face of a poor relative as under the Kabila regime".

In a statement made this same Tuesday, a copy of which reached Actu30 CD, the Congolese Society for the Rule of Law believes that the judicial system has remained ineffective and inefficient, because several evils continue to plague the functioning of the judiciary in the country.

Among these evils, this structure cites, among others, the poor working conditions of magistrates, the collection of illegal court fees, clientelism and influence peddling, but also corruption.

The Congolese society for the rule of law also notes the absence of a culture of positive and negative sanction, the non-existence of a system of integrity, insufficient local judicial coverage and impunity for serious crimes under the Felix Tshisekedi regime.

It should be noted that the Head of State Félix Tshisekedi had himself, during a Council of Ministers, deplored the dysfunction observed in the Congolese judicial system.

He had instructed the Minister of Justice to sanction all crooked magistrates.

AVZ need to get moving, this is what we are missing out on so far. Lithium, lithium and more lithium for a loooong time yet !!
https://elements.visualcapitalist.com/the-future-value-of-disruptive-materials/

Contracted lithium prices to jump another 40pc in 2023, Ablemarle says

  • Kairos Minerals identifies a new lithium anomaly at Roe Hills
  • Riversgold defines a 900m lithium anomaly at Mt Holland
  • Marquee Resources sampling results returns 924 ppm lithium at Kibby Basin

All your lithium news, Wednesday January 25.

In a blog post on Tuesday, Tesla – the world’s biggest producer of electric vehicles, announced it was investing more than US$3.6bn to continue growing its Nevada assembly plant.

The money would help to develop a 100GWh 4,680 cell factory with enough capacity to produce batteries for 1.5 million light duty vehicles annually and a dedicated factory to make its Semi truck.

The major EV manufacturer’s move to produce even more batteries is likely representative of the automotive industries general belief in accelerating EV sales, which will in turn drive lithium demand up.

This also neatly lends credence to Abermarles’ claim that the price it expects to receive for lithium this year will jump 40% over 2022 levels.

According to Abermarles’ head of energy storage division, Eric Norris, lithium pricing needs to remain elevated in order to support the incentives required to take on investment risks.

“The (lithium) market is tighter than it was last year,” he said in a 2023 strategic update presentation.

“There’s significant supply coming on, but the demand growth is more significant.”

Can someone please go back and look at onthefm's post history and tell me if they have added anything to the discussion other than ranting and extreme negativity.

I've had my suspicion since their very first post.
Looks like they forgot to change accounts before answering themselves...

Bit harsh
Nothing wrong with negative posts. TSE is a broad church.
I also think he makes a few good points about accountability,

Bit aggressive? Maybe, but we all have our moments.

Es ist erstaunlich, wie du mit Unruhen und Korruption umgehst ... du kannst auch weglaufen und dich dem nicht stellen
Maria,

As this is an English language site in an English speaking country, it may be polite to post in English ( translate before posting) rather than making dozens/hundreds of non-German translate.
Just saying.
