Educate me here.

What's the point of going to the ICC if they can't enforce rulings??

Is it just to add weight to pollies and bureaucrats decisions??

I mean hypothetically IGF, ICC, the ministerial decree for awarding of ML all in AVZ's favour. Surely the balance of opinion and more importantly the law are all in AVZ's favour.

If the mining license is still not awarded after all this then surely this puts investment in the DRC at risk? As it shows the DRC is still ruled by corruption.

Investment from Japan, USA, Australia, Europe all gone. Is this not why twiggy was meeting with Felix? Investment in the DRC. Has not Felix been reviewing all exploitation licenses ?
Working and meeting with USA gov officials, changing the cabinet. I'd say this is all to change the systematic corruption, promote investment and drag the DRC out of poverty. (And moving away from the reliance of Chinese money)

No doubt it's a shit show, as is Africa in general. Blood diamonds, tribal conflict, scarce food and water resources, extreme poverty, corruption from the very top to the corrupt cop on the street corner.

I mean lithium could do to Africa what oil did to the middle east. Or am I completely wrong/naive and AVZ and the DRC are completely fucked, forever indebted, forever bound to corruption and poverty?

The ICC can't make any binding or enforceable decisions on the government of the DRC. All we can hope for is that the corrupt sections of the government are forced by public and international pressure to implement the decision. The IGF is a government body that reports to the President. If the government chooses to ignore the IGF there's not much we can do. We have a government in Victoria that continually ignores public & investigative bodies. If it can happen here, it can very easily happen in DRC.

My thoughts (I'm being very loose with the word thoughts) are as follows :

That Plan B you so pleasantly projectile vomited through the screen and directly into my eyes and open mouth as my jaw had hit the floor, has evoked the words "Zijin get fucked"
This was my initial thought, upon reflection I can see the error of my ways and so "Zijin can go fuck themselves vigorously with a large rusty morning-star dipped lovingly in acid, the cunts"

On every single metric Zijin have failed the test, they cannot, simply cannot be trusted and more importantly allowed to have even half a percent in this project. They will lie, cheat, steal, con, bribe and god knows what else to get what they want. Not a good partner to co-own the largest hard rock mine on the planet with.

With Felix finally moving with determination and showing every part the rapid acceleration of a stoned tortoise while pulling out his finger from rectum to move on corruption within Government to sign off on changing up Lukondes special cesspit of corruption (yet we are supposed to believe he is clean ).
These new snack-searchers coming in should basically know the score.
Therefore, one would reasonably expect there to be more support for the ML being granted and less support for Mupande, i.e Mamba gone. A new MOP together with the MOM making shit happen to get the ML, I'm thinking along the lines of suspend CAMI DG like has been done before, an within that small timeframe before he is once again brought back by Lukonde we have the feted ML in our hands. A plan B should in theory only be required if Mupande can't be removed, or convinced to stop with the snacks for just this one project.

Plan B should at this stage not be required good sir!

My sincere apologies if my PLAN B makes you puke, i said it wouldnt be popular and trust me, the thought of going into bed with Zijin is my least preferred option, but if i had to make a choice between that and AVZ still stuck in the mud come election time, then i choose the former.......

Thru my lense atm, FT aint guranteed of re election, not by a long shot....... simply re arranging his ministry cabinet aint going to cut the mustard, frankly, that should of been done in 2019/2020 at the very latest, surely he would of known that there were were heaps of corrupt fuckers there thru the previous regime of Kabila, yet he sat on his fucking hands until now .......NOT FUCKING GOOD ENUFF !!!

IGF report has been circulating thru the system since May / June 2022 , it supports AVZ position clearly, yet FT sits on his fucking hands once again, 8 months on..........NOT FUCKING GOOD ENUFF !!!

FT is a great talker, how many seminars is it now where he states... "DRC is the mineral solution, open for business "

Millions upon millions of dollars of wasted opportunity whilst he sits on his fat arse deliberating.......meanwhile his populace is starving to death..............NOT FUCKING GOOD ENUFF !

As i said many times, FT needs to be bold and ACT on his promises of extinguishing corruption and providing his people with a better life, he needs to ACT on the IGF report and grant AVZ the ML ...NOW, so that AVZ can ACT on construction, so that the populace can see that FT is more than just a GUNNA, GUNNA.

Then and only then will he have a great chance of re election come December.

What I want see is if nothing changes in the next 5-6 months ( June /July ) Nigel comes clean and starts addressing AVZ's prospects moving forward . This business as usual bull sh1t while they justify their salaries is going to wear very thin . Presentations in South Africa and London with no ML is just a wank. Spending our money to justify their salaries all the while share holders can't access their own money . I mean F--k OFF ! Crunch time coming with the cabinet reshuffle.

Thank God, normal service resumes. Once again, I find myself agreeing with much of what you say !

When Felix was voted in, that was the time for a calculated reshuffle and then systematically removing the remaining turds Kabila left floating in the bowl as he left. Leaving it so late in his reign casts a shadow, political manoeuvring has maybe proven much harder than he thought.

The IGF report, well this fucking thing may aswell be written on toilet paper. It was in his (Felix) hands for at least 6 months before it became knowledge, then Jules Alingete had to go on T.V an do his interview to bring some actual attention to the corruption at Cominiere, NGO's, Journalists push and report on this to try get some action at the Government level.
To date the blocks are still in AVZ doesn't have its ML and the MOP and CAMI still rule while Justice has made token arrests at Cominiere and some questioning (maybe stern with an unhappy face). Interestingly as we recently saw with the ICC case though Cominiere are still acting as corrupt as ever.

Felix certainly enjoys a talk about as much as he enjoys a private jet jaunt. The whole 'DRC is the answer' bollocks is becoming testing when he sits by and allows AVZ to be held up illegally. By extension of him doing sweet fuck all in regard to the ML he has shafted us!

China are playing the long game, Zijin know they will lose the ICC ffs, but they will look to drag that on and on, until their preferred president is in.

You said Felix needs to be bold and act on the promises of extinguishing corruption. One fucking obvious place to start, with what looks like an easy lay-up for him to slam dunk is AVZ. IGF have done the hard work, Jesus Jules even did a quality stand-up routine in an interview while destroying the crooks, MOP implicated herself, Zijin too and Cominiere - make an example by granting ML to AVZ getting a move on with SEZ too ffs, but also actually punish the perpetrators. This is shit we have known for months, its not news anymore.

I suppose one could say when does any government move at any speed other than lethargic, Western governments arent exactly known for making quick decisions.

If this runs for another 5 to 6 months AVZ will be running on fumes, especially with Nigel flying around the world and going everywhere except DRC.

I have seen too many companies take Shares holders money to the grave with them through extended 'Voluntary Suspension.' All the while they are getting paid their fat salaries right up until the final nail gets driven into their coffin . Protecting the company by locking out share holders while they drain the money in the bank . I'm not saying AVZ is doing that necessarily . We are still fighting the good fight and obviously this sh1t takes time . I just don't want see this at month 16 suspension still stuck in the cone of silence with SH still wondering WTF is going on and their money still locked up . At some point Nigel needs to do one those video interviews and with great detail tell SH the way forward if the ML hasn't arrived .

I hate the fact that AVZ often was such a big influence in how my average work day went overall, based on sp movement. I’m sure others are feeling rather deflated and worn out, but today was particularly bad for me. Not good to have an unhealthy reliance on a stock, but there’s only so much fishing one can do.
