We were supposed to be in court Tuesday after the crooks needed "more time", I.e. they thought our legal team wouldn't turn up and it'd be all over.

We're then led to believe Tuesday will be "our day", the crooks will be embarrassed and leave with their tail between their legs.

So WTF happened yesterday?

Fucking bible quotes from our legal team!!!!!!!!!

YOUR FUCKING SHITTING ME.!!!!!!

Was there a fucking hearing or what.???????
,
I don't think he's was praying for AVZ; most likely received death threats. Have heard a number of times in the past that security around management who had landed in country and were there for more than a few days needed to ramp up security, as their presence became known. I understand that death threats have been made to management and these have escalated pretty quickly.
Personal security? Death threats? Holy shit, Batman! These pricks will stop at nothing.

The case is MMCS v. Cominière. AVZ and our lawyers aren't directly involved.

As far as I can tell MMCS are going for the hail mary play. They are the plaintiff's but want to negotiate an out of court settlement. Which indicates they are not confident of winning the case they have brought based on facts. They are making an absolute mockery of the ICC and will be punished accordingly imo

While all death threats should be taken seriously I’d expect DRC death threats to be the equivalent of going down to Woolworths and having some eshay kid threaten to stab you for not giving him a ciggy

So, has it gone beyond the original ICC complaint that MMCS had the whole tenement taken off them without justification, and now they're actually defending the 5% given to them by the Princess illegally?

Seems to have gone up a level, having worked out the scam they were trying to complete via a - ahem - friendly settlement

Stick it to the cunts, have the 5% returned to COMINIERE, which will then be available for the 10% to the state, Z is fucked, Cong is fucked, and we're finally off to the races

Arsehole
yes it looks that way; information through tweets isn't a lot to go off, but appears NGOs fired a spanner in MMCS / Cominiere initial plan. which has caused Cominiere to delete and abandon ship, leaving MMCS in nowhere land. So, what has MMCS requested an adjournment for?

Are they going back to Cominiere asking for docs around the 5% which they had agreed with Cominiere to 'negotiate an amicable settlement' on ...but now with DRC MoJ being in the equation and knowing MoP decision as being void, as selling mining assets needs approval from MoM , no such legal documents are available ...what does MMCS leave the collapsing office of Cominiere and return to ICC with ..... nothing i reckon ; sounds like the heat is being turned up on green momba

You expect wrong. If you don't think this could turn deadly then you aren't paying attention. This is why I put so much faith in Jules Alingete and Franck Fwamba. They are both putting their personal safety at risk for a company they have no vested interest in because the facts are on AVZ's side. Reminder Franck Fwamba was kidnapped back in 2012 because of a story he wrote.

Four armed men abducted Franck Fwamba, editor of the monthly magazine Mining News, and forced him into an unmarked car at around 6 p.m. on June 6, 2012, in the southern city of Lubumbashi, according to local journalists and the press freedom group Journaliste en Danger (JED).

The assailants placed a hood on Fwamba’s head and took him to a house where he was interrogated over his personal relationships, his bank accounts, his political affiliation, the politicians with whom he was friends, and the sources of information for his publication, local journalist said. After 11 hours of interrogation, Fwamba was stripped of his personal belongings and dumped near a school in a suburb near Lubumbashi.

Sylvie Manda, Fwamba’s colleague, told CPJ that she had received several intimidating phone calls from unidentified individuals during Fwamba’s sequestration.

The motive of the kidnapping was not immediately clear. Mining News publishes reports on the activities of mining companies operating in the mineral-rich Katanga province, according to CPJ research. Fwamba had reported anonymous threats in March 2012 after the magazine published an article critical of the management of state power authority Société Nationale d’Electricité (SNEL), JED reported.

Lol yeah they would be dead and it wouldn’t go down well across the world
AUS/USA already have strained relationships with China

It won’t happen, it would cause too many political dramas to kill aussies over a potentially incredibly life changing mine for the DRC locals, economy and their future as a country

The trick is to make it look like an accident imo

I can't see anything happening in Australia. But I'd imagine a big reason management aren't permanently in the DRC are the additional security costs needed while they are there.

Maybe it was just a coincidence that @Modo fuckhead was trying to goad AVZ shareholders the other day about Nigel going back to the DRC to 'earn his money'. Maybe it wasn't.

lots of stupid things carried out in DRC for money and if you walk out in front of a truck...well it was probably an accident.

who knows what ever happened that Sandfires plane....just glided into the side of a mountain ... accident of course, but i guess some would have some conspiracy theory?

I want to apologies and clarify and dont want to offend anyone, I am religious myself and I am all for prayers, but if we have hired a lawyer, I want him to do his court duties, if I wanted prayers , we would hire a priest/pundit/imam/rabbi for a lot less to bless the opening and closing sessions of the court hearings.

For my next mortgage payment, imagine if I forward our lawyer's tweet to bank as a form of payment.

I want to give Mr Christian benefit of of the doubt and assume he attended the Church service yesterday at 10am and not the court hearing hence the tweet, I can live with that, Amen.

I think I am getting too emotional with this first thing in the morning, where is the delete button, or do I have to rain delete-dance for it.

p.s. Thank you @obe wan for giving us the actual court proceeding's details.
Did you pay them for legal advice. If you had, then they would have provided legal advice. I am sure they would have provided legal advice to AVZ as they are their client

Oh, thats really awful, some members here were also approached in some way and form and been threatened also, so I can understand, and apologies for being insensitive. 🙏

Also, many a time, my posts here serve as TSE AVZ's jester to uplift the mood of the people with my dry humour, so please excuse my ignorance :(.

I thought after buying the shares WE are AVZ and the board is not using their personal money to hire these lawyers or did they?

When lawyers are tagging AVZ with their tweets it becomes our problem, or did Momentum lawyers invest in AVZ too?
🤷‍♂️

What's this 'we' shit, we are not Cominiere and parts of Cominiere at least definitely aren't one of us.

Edit: all of this Cominiere vs MMCS bullshit could have a silver lining for us, it could force all the corrupt horse shit out into the light fully and draw attention to our situation. Might even help to speed up our issues being resolved or at least get us more evidence against the corrupt fuckers
