The sea can only rise about 70m, 80 tops if you melt all the ice. I say "only", that's still very very bad for all of us.
Fill a cup with ice cubes. Add water to fill it to the rim. Leave out overnight and take a picture for the forum..

Fucking tin hat brigade..

80m doesn't seem like much if ya on the eyre peninsula about to head over to WA, but if ya in Melbourne... your world is gone

Archimedes theory. True. Unless the ice is already on land.

Regardless, this political shite on a good thread really has no place. Piss it off everyone, elons hand gestures have zero to do with AVZ.

He was asked how high is the current pile of manure in the US of A and he responded 'See This High'.

That wasn't Archimedes, but Elon.

Highly likely a potential buyer of the final product of Manono.

But...

Trump stopped EV's and windmills.
Sounds so familiar...
Don Quixote and Sancho

I better go back to my ice and GT Archimedes test.

Cheer up Fin Flekman
Live is not all bad.

Umm, it absolutely does needs to be viewed in context. Otherwise that single frame appears to be a Nazi salute, happily seized upon by Trump haters.

However, Musk said, "Thank you! My heart goes out to you". He then gesticulates by slapping his hand on his heart before ripping his hand away towards the audience, he is sending his heart to:

For the first time in a long while, it feels like all we have to do is wait..

Relaxed Sunday Afternoon GIF by Vulture.com

Tommy’s quiet, Shane and the shitpost crew are losing their minds, MMGA are tucking their greasy gold chains beneath their legs, CominiereSA is scrambling to spin stories about a hydro plant while not understanding how magnets even work, and Beijing Joe is out. Meanwhile, America-First Trump is on the verge of taking office with his EV loving butt buddy.

Can you feel it?

We’re finally in the driver’s seat. The ball is in their court. The DRC now faces a choice: either come to the table and negotiate in good faith, bringing both Chinese and Western investment to accelerate a globally significant project, one that could also fulfill their vision of creating a major battery hub with the world’s largest player backing it or they risk facing the consequences. Logically, what option would you choose?

The reality is, we have the funding and the backing to see this through. Many of us have been waiting for this moment for years. We’ve advocated, we’ve endured, and we’re no longer willing to be played with. If it takes another decade to get what’s rightfully ours, so be it. If necessary, we’ll go all the way, through the courts, through every channel available, and make sure Zijin and the DRC are held accountable for the games they’ve been playing. We won’t let them get away with it even if it means every cent goes back to lawyers and we end up starting a pineapple farm.

Let’s not forget: the world is watching. China, the West, investors, and even the DRC itself everyone knows this is a pivotal moment in the battle to secure metals. The window of opportunity is closing fast, and they can either make a smart decision now, or they can pay the price later.

We’ve been patient, but our patience is running out. Every day that passes brings us closer to a showdown they can't run from. If they think they can drag this out, they’re sorely mistaken. If they think they can get away with breaking their cotnracts, they’re in for a rude awakening. This isn’t just about a single project anymore, this is about proving that integrity matters, that international law means something, and that we won’t back down from corruption.

I’m sure an ultimatum has already been issued. With February looming, the pressure’s on. It’s up to them now, either they join the winning team , or they’ll need to start buying expensive Scotch to try and lawyer willing to defend these scumbags in an open-and-shut case.

Either way, it's time to face the music, and we're setting the playlist.
International law prevail.
Would be nice but do all the players want to wait 10 years plus to get a resolution?
A scarpa said" the fish stinks from the tail to the head in the DRC"
Most probable outcome is China control Manono
AVZ given an acceptable take over price and option to buy into Hydroxide plant.
The fish is given a new life and free to swim .
Zijin mine
CATL / Cath use end product .
All Imo

* I see where those Conniving Cunning Cunts ( CCC ) who need to be named and shamed made plenty in profits in 2024 the Arseholes !!!

More than enough to corrupt any Politician in all of Africa, especilly those in the DRC ( Democratic Republic of Corruption )

Zijin vies with Glencore after record year for profits

Zijin Mining Group racked up record annual profit after a growth burst that made the Chinese firm as big as global commodities giant Glencore Plc., although it has softened its output targets for this year.

Net income for 2024 rose 52% to 32 billion yuan ($4.4 billion), the company said in a preliminary results statement on Tuesday.

Zijin’s market capitalization is now roughly on par with Glencore after it ramped up copper output and enjoyed record-high gold prices last year.

But there are signs of a slowdown in the immediate pace of expansion, with Zijin lowering its output target for copper by about 6% to 1.15 million tons.

The foray into lithium has also faltered: it produced very small volumes last year and slashed its production goal for 2025 by around 60% to 40,000 tons. :ROFLMAO:

“The company has strategically reduced production targets given the sluggish earnings outlook in the near-term,” Bloomberg Intelligence analysts Michelle Leung and Grant Sporre said in a note.

But it’s still on track to reach its five-year targets by 2028, they said, and could deliver compound annual earnings growth of 30% from 2023 to 2025.

Zijin’s shares fell 1.5% in Hong Kong.

Zijin has grown aggressively in the past decade, becoming a major global copper supplier by building out big new projects in the Democratic Republic of Congo and in China.

Like rival miner Rio Tinto Group, it has made lithium a key pillar of its future ambitions, aiming to become one of the world’s biggest producers.

The lithium push has been stymied by a torrid market, and last year it postponed two new projects in Argentina and western China.

A near-90% slump in prices of the battery metal from 2022 has forced swathes of companies worldwide to rein in their expansion plans or cut output.

While some analysts forecast a smaller global surplus of lithium this year, the ongoing rout has hurt margins for miners, hammered listed producers and fueled a spurt of dealmaking.

Last week, Zijin announced plans to buy a stake in a domestic lithium and potash miner, Zangge Mining Co., for $1.9 billion.
