A moment more attention: Mercedes-Benz presents "Awake"

Stuttgart/Munich. Today Mercedes-Benz is launching the new short film "Awake" in a campaign that was created in collaboration with the “Hochschule Fernsehen und Film München” (University of television and film Munich). The spot shows the danger of microsleep by the example of "Microsleep Detection", the microsleep warning system in the EQS, to present how innovative driving assistance systems and safety features can make a valuable contribution to the vision of accident-free driving. The "Awake" campaign and the spot can be seen on the Mercedes-Benz social media channels.
"Awake" goes beyond classic advertising films and tells a story from real life. Oliver Bernotat, long-time creative and director of the campaign short film, got the idea from his own experience on a road trip. It prompted him to draw attention to the issue of "microsleep". At the HochschuleFernsehen und Film München”, Bernotat, together with the producers Paul Scholten and Johannes Bergmann, found a young team for the filmic realisation. Mercedes-Benz supported the project from the outset in terms of content and concept, as safety and innovations have been anchored in the brand's core since the invention of the automobile in 1886.
"It was a great challenge to realise the idea at the highest level. This required a lot of fine-tuning in conception and production. Thanks to the very motivated team and the full confidence of Mercedes-Benz, we were able to realise this short film with an important message together. The end result with the campaign is really unique," say the two producers Paul Scholten and Alexander Bergmann.
“The concept and message of Awake convinced us immediately as we saw the opportunity to integrate an exciting impulse into the Mercedes-Benz brand communication. Through the collaboration with the Hochschule Fernsehen und Film München (University of Television and Film Munich), we are specifically promoting young talent in the creative industry. We are delighted about the emotionally gripping visual language, with which we address all target groups on the relevant topic of traffic safety", states Natanael Sijanta, Director Creative Communications and Marketing Mercedes‑Benz AG.
"Microsleep Detection"
ATTENTION ASSIST, fitted as standard, can detect typical signs of fatigue or increasing inattention during long monotonous journeys and prompts a break with a warning message. The supplementary microsleep detection is available for the first time in the EQS. It analyses the driver's eyelid movements through a camera on the driver's display (only in connection with MBUX Hyperscreen) and warns visually as well as acoustically with an additional message. "Microsleep Detection" is already active from a speed of 20 km/h. More information on the driving assistance systems in the EQS can be found here.
Safety first: Mercedes-Benz Real Life Safety
"Real Life Safety" is the safety philosophy of Mercedes-Benz. Here, everyday driving situations in real life are analysed. The comprehensive driving assistance and safety systems from Mercedes-Benz already enable, for example, partially automated driving on numerous types of roads as well as further reducing the risk of collisions. With these intelligent systems, Mercedes-Benz is not only setting standards for innovations in automotive engineering, but is also taking an important step further on the road to accident-free and fully automated driving.
Campaign
The Social Media campaign starts with a teaser phase on 13. April and presents the short film as the main campaign asset on 15. April.

I think it's brilliant how you do it, you're just a great team! Avatars become faces. I marvelled at the photos from the bar!
By the way, I greatly expanded my position. Success seems to me to be a fait accompli ;)

Greetings from me and tell him that he has a fan who toasts him with Kölsch!

I had a bet with Blind Freddie that @Diogenese would notice the brakes.

They have to be the new Brembo brakes that we have the suspicion use AKIDA as well.

1. Mercedes - Hey Mercedes

2. BREMBO - Brake brains

3. Valeo - The Lidar

That would be very, very, very cool.

Yes. I noticed a reference to Brembo and aluminium brakes. The closed wheel covers also point to regenerative braking.

To achieve the efficiency Mercedes did, they must use regenerative braking.

This page from Brembo refers to hybrid friction/regenerative brakes:

In fact, the brake system will automatically adapt to the vehicle's load conditions, keeping the braking space constant. In addition, a further feature of driving comfort due to the brake-by-wire system is provided by the transition from dissipative braking to regenerative braking that is smooth and imperceptible for the driver.

The drive, which was independently monitored by TÜV Süd, took the Vision EQXX over the Swiss Alps and throughout Northern Italy, creating plenty of opportunities for energy recuperation through regenerative braking while descending.

The recent strawman interview was a very strong one again. The content was similar to the other recent interviews, but I can listen to it over and over again. Particularly liked some of Tony's contributions in this one as a great reminder of the potential that we are sitting on:

The total addressable market for edge AI devices is forecasted to be $60B within the next 3 years. In terms of market share, you don't need a big chunk of that to start to see real revenue in the order of billions of dollars...

The market is growing at 12-15% per annum. So that $60B is going to be $100B in the next 5 years. We are positioned at the beginning of that huge growth...

NVIDIA recently wanted to buy Arm for $40B. From this Forbes article: For financial year ending March, 31, 2022, Arm is forecasted to generate a record $2.5B revenue and $900M in adjusted EBITDA.

It "only" takes a few billions of dollars in sales under an IP license model to become highly profitable and valued in the tens of billions of dollars which is many bags from our current valuation. Being the first to market a few years ahead of competition could see us win a significant chunk of the market. Doing some back-of-the-envelope calculations by applying the Arm revenue & valuation to BRN's potential market share shows our incredible potential.

2% market share of $60B could mean a AUD $26 market cap which is ~15 bags from here. The upside beyond this is mind-boggling though and it's not too far-fetched at all in my opinion for BRN to grab substantially more market share. 10% of the $100B market in 5 years could mean ~25 bags from here. If we become the standard for edge AI..... well, we're gonna need a bigger boat...

I'll join you, sharing a Kölsch or two, when I move for half a year to Cologne in September 😁
Always two to start! One for the thirst and the other for the taste. Then it goes on and on automatically, the waiter/Köbes does not ask, but simply puts it until you put the lid on the glass. If he's in a good mood, he then puts another one on top of it and that's on him.

By the way, I wrote to the head of a major funded program for robots in nursing and showed to Akida. When I heard the report about the robots and that it will probably take years, it clicked. Let's see, maybe he'll be interested.

But the 1,000 Eyes are faster. I think it might be worthwhile having Peter van der Made study how the 1,000 Eyes work it might give him some pointers to upping the performance of AKIDA technology. 😂🤣😎

After seeing this, it clicked that I should tell my husband to contact Brainchip to see if they can help him at his work. He is a Machine Reliance expert at Cadia for Newcrest where he monitors dashboards for potential problems in mining machines. He said it's not always as reliable and as intuitive as required to get ahead of the breakdown schedule.
Might get him to put a call to Tony at BRN..

I'm a Business Analyst for NSW Gov working on Digital Twin projects where our scope is to build more machine leaning capabilities into our processes. I have already encouraged senior management to look into AKIDA.
We also use lidar to capture imagery for 3D mapping, I'm sure AKIDA could be used in that space also.
