AVZ Discussion 2022

Anyone know if these guys are a reliable source .

MINES.CD

"The legal dispute over the Manono lithium project, one of the world’s largest lithium deposits, has taken another turn. According to reliable sources at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the arbitration proceedings initiated by Australian mining company AVZ Minerals and its affiliates against the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) have been suspended. This decision follows AVZ’s failure to pay the arbitration fees within the set time limit. If AVZ fails to pay the fees within 90 days, the proceedings will be permanently terminated."
Wait a second. They are suggesting a company who said they were getting a mining license then didn’t, said that claims of ownership that sunk them and put them into trading halt were false, lost control of their camp and cores after doing core drilling while in suspension. Paid their CEO a 100k bonus for halfing the share price then locking up the money. Lost 20million in some kind of escrow rorte, failed to inform shareholders of anything including the loss of permits and faith of DRC government. They are suggesting that this company failed to pay its relevant fees to a court who’s purpose is to cover the ass of the board so they can take their/our millions and ride off into the sunset. They are suggesting this?? No this must be fake news. The guy to listen to here is the bloke posting memes of soft core porn on X . Definitely!!

Of course there’s a chance both parties have delayed paying the fees Wombat and for different reasons. AVZ has been working on Locke’s litigation funding and the fact they haven’t announced the details of the deal yet means there’s a lot things they have to take into account.

DLA Piper is one of the top law firms in the world, they have stood by us from the beginning and are no doubt involved in the Locke funding arrangements and part of that I imagine would be making sure they get paid.

As always, people here jump to conclusions and you’ve got the negative posters continually posting comments that undermine all the work AVZ has done so far in fighting the corruption.

Mate I’m just glad I’m not going to war with some of those posters with their negative undertones. I know you’re one who has been looking for answers, all I can say is I personally am backing DLA Piper to get us through the Locke funding and the litigation against the corrupt actors and I’m not surprised that it’s being kept confidential
Cheers . Looks like all will be revealed within the next 90 days .

Who is making the trek to Perth for the AGM? Is it worth going? Will we be able to ask questions and get answers or same as last year?
I don't really feel like spending more time & $$$ for little information and just the 2 resolutions of electing Directors.
I will be. I have lots of questions to ask, including this latest ICSID bombshell news which should be of been announced on the AVZ website along with DEBOSS quitting his role.

BTW, AVZ bod should be a skeleton crew so i see no reason why BRANS & SDS need to be re elected.

Its time for answers and clarity.

Longs deserve to know.

imo

Because instead of keeping us on the ropes, I assume they think they can deliver a knockout blow and terminate the ICSID proceedings if we dont have the funds to cover both sides' payment, after which we can just be ignored. And even if we do cobble together the money to continue the proceedings it's one step closer to exhausting our financial resources and forcing us into administration. After which they can also ignore us.

Seems likely that this is just another part of their existing strategy to bleed us into financial submission.

Locke litigation funding becoming ever more important IMO.
Its just outrageous to think that AVZ need to pay our enemies legal fees just to stay the course.

Paying the DRC's ICSID fee to win $10 Billion in compensation is what I would call a good investment .

Hopefully the DRC has decided paying ICSID fees to still lose $10B is not a good investment and perhaps a settlement is called for.
More Hopium.

Good point i suppose, but i guess the question needs to be asked, why isnt the DRC paying ? Are the DRC finances cooked to the point where they cant afford $25 - $77k ? Why isnt the chinese funding their cause ?

Its just bat shit crazy, but then again, why am i surprised?

Cant wait for the AGM, i am sick and tired of pondering, time for clarity.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

My experiences with Nigel is he is a straight shooter and so am i, as is Deboss, Jag Scoota, Earl and others i met at the last AGM.

Hopeful of some clarity aside of sensitive information.

I will be putting my best foot forward in that endeavour, you can be assured of that.

I don't think it's a matter that they cannot pay . I think it's more like they are hoping AVZ cannot pay (Chinese tactics). They already know they lose if this goes the distance and got nothing to lose by pulling out every dirty trick in the book . Of course I am speculating . It might turn out @geo_au is on the money.

the fact we haven't had serious contacts re raising cash is a sign to me that locke are still in it... even "if" a deal was close, i dont think management would hold a dire cash position on the chance of DRC honouring a deal... they'd want some access to back-up cash... or should, based on DRC form to date.
Look it's all speculation, but what we all realise is just how expensive Locke will be to SH when that card is played/utilised, assuming we cut a deal for that legal funding.

So it makes sense to me to use that as a gun with a silver bullet only IF it's needed to be fired at our enemies.

In other words prior to bringing Locke into play...the threat and proof that we have Locke "LOCKED & LOADED" (if need be) needs to be rammed down our enemies throat, and proven that Locke are ready and prepared to sign on if we cannot come to or get an arrangement. Either an MOU or a TO offer that is fair to all!! including and most importantly AVZs innocent investors in this s... s... caused by the failure of the DRC gov to stick to THEIR MINING CODE.

AVZ & is investors all 21,000 came to the shores of the DRC (a ...t of a pl... to do ethical business!!! with a country and its President (FELIX T) who promised "NO MORE F'g corruption or heads will role"!!!

So if the BOD can prove that it will be cheaper for ALL involved, that its time to pony up, (b4 locke actually sign on for the full monty but get say a million $ payment for just being prepared to let it fly so to speak) we may not have to go the full and expensive route of years of litigation and expense, which will expose all of the DRCs dirty ministers that are involved in this corruption, being dragged through the mud, including jingadingerrings stop at nothing dirty bribery antics, and the DRCs own comm's scum bag lies for the last 3 year's etc, etc.
