I'm of the camp - to say no to Zijin for any part of Manono.

They have delayed this project for far too long. Who knows what they would do if they were running the neighbour mining site in the north tenement. Remember when there were instances of the attacks and vandalisms in Manono? Imagine how much worse it'll be if they're our neighbour.

I would also imagine that they would occupy the transport routes so that it hinders our ability to transport the stock.

They have much more resources than us - if they sold to others at a severe discount to what we are able to, feasibly - why would anyone buy the same quality of supply at a more expensive rate?

Having Zijin as a neighbour is a definite NO GO.

ZJs slanted drilling isn't even unfounded either, pretty ZJ have been accused of similar tactics at their Colombia gold mine. added to that unauthorized excavation which left neighbouring mines personnel dead.

Fucking disgusting pricks, with absolutely zero regard for legal process and human life. Using forced labour at their chinese mines, shafting serbian local mining staff, torture, forced eviction, the list goes on.

I'm all for BOD telling them to get fucked.

Its floating around in local DRC, my sources tell me it is legit, but it doesn't change the fact that its all part of the local legal process - MOM likely just following the same verdicts and Cominiere spouting that ICC is irrelevant like delusional clowns.

its a clusterfuck for sure and the way Cominiere is working the system to muddy the waters is some next level shit, but we all know their arguments are piss weak and unless they've hired david fucking blain to be their lawyers, they'll get railed at international legal proceedings. Only magic can resolve this in their favour i reckon.

The MoM has the power to refuse Cominiere's claims. She's blatantly ignored the mining code to give Cominiere what it wants so far. Hopefully the MoJ has power to overrule her but Franck Fwamba says that's unprecedented. Any chance you can get your hands on any paperwork relating to Dathcom's right of appeal?

The MoM has the power to refuse Cominiere's claims. She's blatantly ignored the mining code to give Cominiere what it wants so far. Hopefully the MoJ has power to overrule her but Franck Fwamba says that's unprecedented. Any chance you can get your hands on any paperwork relating to Dathcom's right of appeal?

Let me rummage around and see if anything comes loose.

We actually had a night like that down at the Warners Bay Tavern....

If there's any Warners Bay boys from back then holding AVZ shares, they will remember crawling on our bellies across the park on the lake when a heap of cop cars with their lights out turned them on and chased us through the streets, I still remember one of them yelling out "Stop or I'll shoot" I can't remember ever running so fast in my life They were the fucken days.... Pure speculation from me but perhaps they are 'selling' part of it off to Dathcom for free as part of the settlement in the MoU. Just the southern part that we drilled is my inkling. Zijin and Cominiere take the north and we are left with the south with CATH and whichever other Chinese entity bids higher than AVZ can afford for the other 15% that the ICC is about to tell Zijin it can't have. Cong will be given his 25m USD and some of the north to go away. This would mean the DRC avoids all potential litigation including from Zijin against it or it's controlled entities imo

ICC emergency order is against Cominiere Carlos , not MoM ; it’s their decision to do as they wish , MoM isn’t there to mother them

Not the way I see it. MoM is calling the shots here not Cominiere. Her citing the Dathcom JVA being terminated and extending Cominiere's rights is a violation of the ICC order when CAMI under her supervision executes it on behalf of Cominiere. But it's good to see you've logged out of photoshop and started to deal with reality. As a wise jedi once said the truth is often what we make of it.

Nigel said he wasn't worried about the north at the roadshows last year. Obviously AJN considerations made that more complicated at the time but they're out of the picture now. As a shareholder I too would prefer the ICSID over sharing with Zijin but it's not what I'd pick given no other option by the DRC government if I was running an ASX listed company. Let's see what this talk of MoU brings. I've got the champagne on ice ready to go.
