It's unfair and very upsetting mate. Trading halt could have helped big time. It is the inaction of management or investor relations to institute some halt before a major announcement who are in a way exacerbating this drop now

There is and has never been a PROMISE of a major announcement this week though and if there was, both the company and the ASX would have released it.

The whole Akida 2.0 will be released by whatever quarter blah blah should be taken with a grain of salt. The amount of times we’ve heard dates from this company that have then come and gone should be raising more of our eyebrows.

I’d be pleased if we got something in line with what has has been stated (not promised), but I won’t be surprised if we get nothing either. The only card that we have in the deck right now is a trading halt with a question as to why we are tanking - even then it’s just there until we provide an answer, and that answer of “we don’t know” won’t necessarily surprise me either…

It all comes down to what individual does.
But you left out an important part :

"Based on what management says".

I seem to try and blame what the actual issue is, while some here try and blame downrampers and manipulators.
No different.

And yes, if the SP was in the right place I'd not be saying it, which is my point.
Management continuously dissed the SP over the last few months.
They continued to sell their holdings, took profit but told us everything is "imminent" and there'll be "explosion".

We can keep diverting the light for a short amount of time, but this downtrend was inevitable with that attitude from the board.

And if they can increase their profits, by allowing practices that increase trading volumes, why not?..

The governing "independent" bodies show their "heavy" hand, in handing out penalties in the tens of thousands, when the ones that break the rules (Citicrap for example) are making millions.

Everything is as it should be.

To a holder if you say those words, it means only one thing.

I'm of the opinion the official announcement of Akida 2.0 is hardly going to save the SP. I can see it having a temporary slight positive SP movement but the thing that will kick it up a notch again will almost certainly be the sale of more IP licences, or big name partnerships.

It isn't pleasant to look at the portfolio lately, nor does it help in any way shape of form, so I simply don't look. I still believe Brainchip will pull it off and give them until around the AGM next year to sign more deals. Given some customers have been evaluating our tech for years, if they were on the fence until the release of Gen 2 (some features no doubt specifically designed for their use case and they've had Gen 2 capabilities in their hands for months already), then there should be some deals between now and early next year. We should also see some traction with Renesas, VVDN and potentially Valeo by then.

Some SBIRs with the likes of BRE and Quantum Ventura will also be progressing from Phase II to Phase III by around that time in 2024 - Phase III will be the beginning of commercialising of the product for the use case researched in Phases I and II, if funding is approved.

It’s not that black and white.. imo you need to also take into account the uptake time for a nascent technology.

You do yes. There is tech and there is tech and always hard to know how long it will be before real implementation uptake and revenue comes. It can take a long time even from the fully finished first product. Look at most other large tech stock producing hardware IP or just hardware from scratch and I am sure they had a modest or hard going start. That I guess is the real reality even though most of us were looking for that insatiable mass adoption on the first iteration. Unfortunately That is not a common result, which is the shame here.

The hard thing for a company is showing investors the interest from partners but at the same time you sort of somehow have to say it will still take a lot of time in reality (another 3 years or more)….and that part is not often communicated as no one wants to be a Debbie downer about real time frames right . Happens in project management land all the time.

I can see now that Brainchip are definitely playing down every bit of singular interest and more focusing in cold hard facts of delivery and partnerships. Which is not a bad thing…avoids the up and downs in the SP.

The funny thing is while we praised MB for breaking cover and mentioning Brainchip in a car thus making the SP fly, but the lack of further solid commitment and follow through from MB (to date but more may be happening) has added to the doubt and further allowed insto’s investors to ramp and then short the living crap out of the stock. That is food for thought, it’s not all Brainchip’s doing here. We can cut them a little slack as they definitely won’t try to control MB’s commentary.

You seem to try and blame anyone else but yourself? In the end it entirely comes down to your own decisions. No one else is click the button.

If someone happens to sell, and in the future the share price goes higher than the original average buy in price, and that ''someone'' misses out again. It is entirely his own fault. I'm not trying to be harsh, it is just a fact. It all comes down to what the individual does.

I agree and right now it is not about holder or shorter but a matter of fact is management is showing us holder a middle finger and does not take any care of sp.
The present SP is well below any expectations and management is not trying but surrendering.
