AVZ Discussion 2022

This is why i love this forum.

No-way, would this have been able to start and gain traction on the Hot-crapper.

Fantastic work everyone.

As i have mentioned to some people here, there are a lot of groups working against AVZ (from Zijin, to corrupt officials, to paid-off news articles, etc). While it is always preferable and ideal to have the AVZ sort everything out. I think that everynow and then, they may need some support from us, whether it be to voicing our opinions with the relevant officials, or to try and gain media attention to the issues at hand through the succinct counter.

It doesn't hurt - and it only works to keep those affected in the loop of the detriment to their economy from this project not going under the way.

Stay strong everyone.

Didn't include Ivanhoe or Zijin either , so I wouldn't read too much into it . Albermarle can buy us out .
Or Glencore…. 😉

AFR also have it down as April View attachment 30027

Ref AFR dated Dec 12, 2022

Tom Richardson said

The Zijin dispute is set for arbitration in May. AVZ is in another legal fight against a company called Dathomir Mining in the Congo.

However, the consensus from much more knowledgeable people is April 2023.

Wheel, wheel, wheel, the longer it takes, the higher it gets.

Looks like the DRC has the luxury to afford this greed and utter stupidity, or is it just the greedy DRC elite?

Not sure why different figure to Frank. Mine is ticking over but lower value.

These are the correct links and seem to be working ok. I notice that your computer is translating the French to English. Also could be if you are in a different timezone. As in a day behind.

Suggestion - Should there be "USD" in front of the $, for the revenue lost? i know it says it in the small text - but having it up there, up top will make it more distinguishable and for the avoidance of all doubt

Greed indeed for a few while over 70% of the population live in poverty .
Would be great for the counter $$$ loss of revenue to reference this and how loss of opportunity from funds could be used to fight against poverty.
Maybe FT might reflect on this

The only thing Felix reflects on is himself in the mirror onboard his new plane jetsetting him to countries overseas. 🍍

If you want to catch up with Felix you need a plane and make sure yours is smaller than Felix's plane, or he throws empty beer cans at yours.
