I'm waiting for 2028 and the prospect of mining approvals, plural. TLG's strategic plan out to 2030 is to sell 19.5kt of AAM which another poster quite rightly said last week (my apologies for not going back to get your name) is bugger all in the scheme of things. My guess is, it won't be until sometime in the 2030's after the mine has been operating safely for a few years at full permitted production will TLG get approval to mine more than 120kt of graphite contained dirt. Given the grades and recovery rate, they'll only produce less than 25ktpa of concentrate. To put things into prospective, SYR can produce 360ktpa of concentrate now. The problem is the lack of demand lol. It's a good time not to be a producer.
I'd be surprised if TLG didn't get their first mining approval.
I said to Dio early last week I'm hoping SYR SP bounces so I can buy some more BRN. After some probing and upsetting a few posters late last week, 2 golden nuggets were produced for me which makes me even more desperate. Given the state of the global graphite market, I'm not hopeful. Some Chinese petroleum coke producers for the synthetic market have stopped making it because the prices are so low. It's a by-product which still requires some refining but it isn't worth it anymore
@JNRB I wasn't having a crack at you. I'm done the same thing dozens of times.
