NVISO is running on Neuromorphic computing! Today we are very excited to announce our next major achievement in bringing Human Behaviour AI to extreme edge devices which is the successful running of our Emotion AI App at 250fps at 90+% accuracy (2bit quantization) on the BrainChip Akida neuromorphic processor. This represents a 20x performance improvement over a single core ARM A53 CPU running an equivalent 8bit network which is a game changer for computer vision at the extreme edge. And this is just the tip of the ice-berg! Being able to run high-frame rate, high accuracy AI Apps on ultra-low power hardware (i.e run off batteries without the internet) opens the door to all sorts of amazing HMI experiences. From high frame-rate gaze tracking at 1000 FPS to gesture recognition and 3d body pose tracking will lead to amazing solutions from the metaverse to the self-driving cars without needing to rely on the cloud. Something of interest from the video regards Euro NCAP (EUROPEAN NEW CAR ASSESSMENT PROGRAMME).

From Euro NCAP 2025 Roadmap as stated by EETimes article: https://www.eetimes.com/roadmap-emerges-for-testing-driver-monitoring/

"Euro NCAP will include testing for direct driver monitoring in its five-star safety assessment from 2023. The European General Safety Regulation requires direct driver monitoring for all new road vehicles going through type approval from mid-2024, and for all new road vehicles sold in the EU from mid-2026."

Not sure how much we should look into it because I'm guessing they're in France, but do you think that Renault could be considering Akida as they're driving a Renault?

The world’s first commercial grade emotion recognition AI App designed for neuromorphic processing, with peak speeds of more than 250fps achieved using the BrainChip Akida processor. Using NVISO’s advanced edge deployment methodology and BrainChip MetaTF framework, the neuromorphic optimized Emotion Recognition AI App currently delivers an accuracy of 90.28% with speeds up to 250fps using 2-bit quantization. By comparison the same AI App implemented on a Raspberry Pi 4 single core ARM A53 CPU processor using 8-bit compression shows similar accuracy but only running at 12fps, resulting in 20x improvement in performance.

How could you not with BrainChip in your corner.
This week has seen a constant news flow from several sources, not the least BrainChip & Jerome.
New branding, next level professionalism in delivery and imaging .... a sense we are truly stepping onto the world stage.

Perhaps we were in fact holding the majority of the NDA holders back, not allowing them to jump the gun with their own communication until our management team was ready to pull the trigger. Yes, patents had to be in place and technical capability proven. But perhaps the last 5 months has been more about BRN ensuring resources were in place to handle to tsunami of work, that the branding & marketing plans were finalised and in place.

And now it's time to unleash the dogs !

If this is the case, I suspect next weeks leadup to the AGM will make this week look like a one page prelude.

So would appear the relationship with Nviso kicks into Bonseyes as we thought may do eventually.

BONSEYES AI MARKETPLACE
NVISO's is a founding member of the Bonseyes Community Association which is a non-profit AI-focused association based in Switzerland. BCA was created and inspired by the H2020 Bonseyes AI Marketplace project to ensure that artificial intelligence benefits all of society through open, distributed, and decentralized platforms and technology. BCA’s mission is to ensure that artificial intelligence (in all forms from narrow to general) which will ultimately create highly autonomous systems benefits all of society – not just a select few.

It aims to directly build open technology platforms supporting distributed artificial intelligence marketplaces empowering innovators, data scientists, and developers to build and trade value creating, safe, and beneficial AI aligned with societal goals. Currently it is focused on supporting Extreme Edge AI technologies supporting ground-breaking technologies such as ultra-low-power machine learning processors and brain-inspired neuromorphic chips. Within the scope of the Bonseyes project, NVISO showcased how future in-car experiences would be centered around the driver-vehicle relationship, where AI would enable the car to have continuous learning, with the end goal to develop an understanding with the occupants that is both meaningful and human in nature.
